Tkachuk is a fucking menace. His interview made it sound like the game plan was to dive like a soccer player throughout the game. Honestly, he just rubs me the wrong way and I wouldn’t even like him as a Bruin, to be honest.
He wasn't pulled by the coach. He was given a Misconduct penalty by the officials. It's a matter of game record. Look it up. Simply if he'd been pulled by the coach, he'd have stayed on the bench. However, when assessed a Misconduct penalty you have to go to the locker room. But, as I said, look it up. The penalty is a matter of game record.
A goalie can play with a 10 minute misconduct. Another player serves it, just like a minor. Montgomery pulled him. The Bruins are looking ahead. Great decision by Montgomery.

Marchand has mellowed and become a solid leader, and he hasn't lost anything in the change...but it took him years and he is a really solid human off the ice...Tkachuk is a bit of a punk still...we'll see in 5 years or so. He's the kind of kid who's dad whooped him at an early age and criticized his 'toughness', so now he cant help but go over the top to get daddy's approval. I’ve never seen Ully get worked up and I loved/watched him before he came to Boston as a bruins fan
Tkachuk is a fucking menace. His interview made it sound like the game plan was to dive like a soccer player throughout the game. Honestly, he just rubs me the wrong way and I wouldn’t even like him as a Bruin, to be honest.

He's won me over by now with his play this postseason. Kind of hilarious how he went after people in this.
I’m gonna sub You make pretty good videos
Correction : Ullmark didn't get tossed. He was pulled from the coach
@@mhicaoidh1 Goalies get penalties all the time. Did you ever see one in the penalty box?
Doesn't matter what's on the record, it was being served by another player. Montgomery confirmed it was part of the team's decision to pull him out of the game, because the Panthers had been playing dirty and didn't want to risk anything happening to him.
@@nealshirley6479 Yes, it appears they have updated the game track today from a game misconduct (20) to a misconduct (10) served by Pasternak.
Still doesn't quite explain why the referee clearly ushered Ullmark off the ice, and why he left the bench instead of sitting in the goalie seat.
But, whatever ... order is restored.
@@mhicaoidh1 Montgomery pulled him and sent him to the locker room to protect him. The ref was making sure he wasn't coming back.😏

His father played the same way. Both are (were) very talented who cross the line often to the detriment of their teams. It's also funny for us Bruins/Celtics/Pats/Sox fans that he is best friends with Cs Jason Tatum when they were growing up in Saint Louis, MO.
He's a throwback to the old days. A great player with edge. Maybe it gets out of hand but no one can deny his fight. When did we start embracing pussy hockey, I don't know. Reading the comments, you would think Bruins grew up on the ice capades and not nhl hockey.
@@rockmyballsplease It's just a different time. When I was a teenager Tie Domi was coming up through the AHL and played for my hometown Binghamton Rangers. Used to watch him beat the stuffing out of guys several times during his time there and nobody thought twice about it. Tkachuk often plays on the line - and crosses it occasionally. He did here, selfishly, and made it about him and not his brothers to the left and right of him.
That kidney shot should be reviewed and a one-game suspension. That crap is beyond unacceptable and demos his utter lack of respect.
The first Bos goal wasn’t reviewed. The original call was overturned on the ice.
Flames missed Tkachuk terribly this season...Kadri didnt bring what he was supposed to bring, but maybe Sutter is the biggest issue there. I think most Flames fans would gladly have him back...far more than Johnny Hockey. Yeah his discipline issues can hurt at times, but mostly he's a guy most teams would take...maybe not Tampa, I dont think he would fit in with Cooper's culture of hockey. There are players that just cant play any other way. Anyone who has played hockey at any competitive level knows this. Marchand has mellowed and become a solid leader, and he hasn't lost anything in the change...but it took him years and he is a really solid human off the ice...Tkachuk is a bit of a punk still...we'll see in 5 years or so. Sean Avery never grew out of his immaturity to the point no team would touch him. It would be nice to see Tkachuk mature into a leader the way Marchand has...We'll see. And talk about one of the most prolific and effective agitators in NHL history?...well look no further than Battlin Billy Smith...always taking cheap shots then hiding behind his position for protection...although he did get in a couple of scraps...and he was very good tender on top of it. There will never be a goaltender like him again...maybe Hextall was distant second place to Smith in that realm.

The amount of hard cross checks in the NHL are shortening players careers, even 99 retired early because of this.

They kind of had no choice. When selfish players (like his Dad was), say they don’t want to play for their team what real option does a GM have?? I still think Calgary won that trade (but time will tell) and GM far exceeded my expectation on the return. Did players underperform due to coach & his playing style, they wouldn’t be the only players on that team that had a bad season.
Tell me in 5 years how this trade went. One season doesn’t mean anything especially peeing down your leg in the playoffs
