Thank you so much for showing this. Always wondered how to palm mute and plug with fingers on the bass.
No way, am I the first here?!? Any way, I’ve been actually trying to mute the strings and I thought palm mutes on bass weren’t used often, until now!
Its not wide spread for sure. It tends to be a player specific thing. Which is such a shame ;) Its a great sounding technique
Let’s also talk about that Sherwood green for a minute 🤣 sheww 💨💨😮💨😮💨
It's the little dip just behind the top thumb joint👍
Are those flatwounds btw? The tone sounds amazing.
looks like tapewounds - really similar vibe to flats.
@@bassist12345 thanks. how can you tell?
Tapewounds are usually made with black or white nylon windings. They have a woody upright bass sound and are a little brighter than flats. Flatwounds are metal and have a duller sound than tapes. I have a p bass with tapes and absolutely love it.
In this interview he said they're LaBella low tension flats :)
Ahhh you're right, Thanks for the correction!! I think I had some goofy setting on my other monitor Cuz I swear they looked coated at first lol.
This is called palm muting I thought
It absolutely is lol, I think this is maybe a more bass oriented name for it as opposed to guitar idk
TLDW; he plays gently

Eh sorry i dont like any of it, and its not that i dont respect your art; its your hat
