A lot of states allow a bike rider to go through a red light if you aren't setting the vehicle detection system off. You have to make sure traffic isn't coming, but it is legal to go through the red light after you wait a while.
Yeah, the magnets didn't work. I adjusted my route to a busier intersection where I'm in line with cars. The highway I have to cross would be impossible to navigate against a light. There are pics of it in the linked blog article if you're interested. Cheers.
Congrats on the weight loss! 10 lbs in 6 wks is AWESOME...very healthy rate of loss.
Now, as for the broken straps on the carrier bag, you could hand sew on some new straps. Maybe use a combo of sewing and industrial-strength glue (Shoe Goo or E-6000). Use stronger reinforcement, so it doesn't eject itself again when you hit your next pothole. Might wanna swap out the velco that came on it, with industrial strength velcro. Or maybe grommets? They sell inexpensive kits at hardware stores.
I really wish you would tell us the brand and model name/number for all of these gear items you tried out. Possible to do that in the comments below or in a separate video? Just my suggestion ...
