I was wondering;
If the nosferatu form broods,
could a coterie consisting of only malkavians, be called a confusion?
Your wit is amusing.
No. A coterie of malkavians is called a chaos.
I knew once of a coterie of malkies, they were kinda fish malks and very silly but at some point they self destructed, like, big boom, seems like one guy always carried explosives with him/them and they kinda detonated. This was on their first quest.
So id say a malk coterie is called "Put down that bomb, NOW" or "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
@@onemoregodrejected9369 I know what "fishmalk" means, but what do you mean by "jiggles"?
I absolutely love how Xander portrays a Malkavian.
He's not a raving lunatic that makes you wonder how on earth did he survive for more than two seconds as a kindred.
He's eccentric and clearly has trouble discerning what is real and what is not, especially since much of his visions are in fact real, though in a very allegorical way...
It's nearly impossible to form coherent thoughts when half of them aren't your own. And yet X manages to pull some meaning out of these visions, even if accidentally.
The Wolf biting a Crown, the Nosferatu under Griffith Park, the Cold Flame, etc. were all things that he saw in his visions and turned out to be true.
He commits every sin of a “Fishmalk” he’s almost unlistenable. They need to get a real Mallavian player in there.
@@neurohack9038 You're delusional, he plays an awesome malk who's perfectly lucid with some extra spice. Go read the clan novels and compare him to a Malk who spends years sitting in a statue and then comes out just to go to Atlanta and merge into another statue just to terrify the shit out of the guests and watch a Sabbat attack unfold. Fishmalk can barely hold a conversation, X is no more wacky than an average theater gay.

Alex Ward is a genius actor. Love every single subtle expression and the depth of his acting.
a tiny moment that really got me was Jasper smiling and chuckling a little bit when Chloe got flustered and said she wanted hummus instead of cream cheese but as soon as Diane said "Anything that kills something is bad" his smile disappeared instantly.
Ouch
Alex Ward is an incredibly talented actor and he's so good at using every part of his face and body to express complex emotions. Thanks for watching!

Don't mind me, just linking the time for reference 😉😊
AcidScorpion We started around the same time, and I am equally addicted. Amazing story and actors alike (including the wonderful Jason Carl, of course)!
@@JasonCarl He really is. I looked him up on IMDB wondering what he might be in. I didn't realize he was a creature actor. That must be why he is so good because a lot of those roles require the actor to convey everything without dialogue.
It's like those old school acting teachers that say, "acting is reacting". Alex really puts himself into Jasper he is great.
I know it was like the very beginning, but my favorite part of this episode was X's tomato explanation
It's from explaining the difference between intelligence and wisdom in D&D
That was awesome. I was drinking something when he said it and sprayed it out laughing.
@@verath2648 What stat would it be to understand if ketchup is a smoothie? Or would that be an arcane/alchemical check?

"Is ketchup a smoothie?" I lost it. I think I punctured a lung from how hard I laughed.
Erika in Lilith's voice: "Taste the spiders!" 💀
Alex: "Who tells you these things are ok to do?" 🤣🤣🤣
The facial journey he goes through this made me laugh, get tense, almost cry, and laugh again. I especially love his reactions to Juan talking about certain people. That was just great. I can't wait to see how his decisions will affect the coterie in Season 2!
The whole time I was waiting for a gagging/vomit face.
Now we need Annabelle, X, and Jasper to go on an adventure together! That would be a fun break.
Holiday special episode? :D

Love getting a glimpse into this backstory.
Jaspers facial expressions at some of the girls discussion in the cafe just priceless lol
Diane looks legitimately afraid of Jasper, even though they cant actually see him.
Regarding Jaspers "I might have fucked up"
I remember a line from inception:
"Once an idea has taken hold of the brain, it’s almost impossible to eradicate."
I wonder how this will turn out for Chloe
41:58 "I have a Pinterest board full of rings…" -- I can't believe I've just seen a vampire about to be sick.

Deepseafish and Season 2, Episode 1.
@@TheComicBookJoker Well yes, but I assumed OP watches this on RUclips and has no twitch subscription and the new season will take a while... also, X is not the only one returning in the new season ;) (and I'd feel honour bound to mention who exactly)
@@deepseafish257 This is the first time seeing these. I have to watch this on RUclips because I need to pause the videos quite a bit since I cannot the episodes fully in one sitting...
@@DonovanPresents Well, Season 2 might take a while to be released on RUclips, at least a few months, so you'll have to be very patient... Or you could subscribe to alpha or their Twitch channel (Oh no, I start sounding like a Geek&Sundry employee! (but what the hell, it supports the channel and keeps this show going)) and watch the streams on demand pretty much immediately after the stream (and you can pause it!).
The interaction between Jasper and X at the beginning lifted my spirits, then the note portion was heartbreaking. Amazing roleplaying, amazing story, amazing players, amazing storyteller. Thank you all so much for this entire campaign.
Thank you very much for sharing the story with us. Season 2 is on the way!
There's such a subtle touch of sadness with Diane and Juan flirting and Chloe still being so stuck in the past :(
“you deserve a space that’s beautiful and safe”
“you deserve someone beautiful and perfect” ouchhhh
and now i'm DYING to know how exactly Jasper was embraced. he said earlier that he used to do bad things and is trying to be a better person in the afterlife, but would Chloe ever date a person who deserved to become a Nos
Well he could have hidden it from her
No one deserves becoming a rat sucker, no matter how bad they are. In the original books it was considered a cruel joke on the well off or beautiful… maybe jasper was just wrong place wrong time for some psycho rat with something to prove.
The first time I saw this, as soon as the sad piano music came in at the cafe, I started to cry. By the time Chloe read and reacted to the note, I was sobbing. They did such a good job with this episode. I also love seeing Jasper one on one in his labyrinth. Things about it that terrified the others only intrigue him. He seems most genuinely happy when down there, solving its mysteries, and it was so nice to see. My friend described him as "living his best life" exploring that place, and I agree.
Also, let me add, as much as I love the questions they did answer, they didn't answer the one question that's been burning in me since Episode 8: Where and from whom is Jasper going to feed now that Tara is gone?!?!
And it is very striking at see Alex not in the Jasper make-up. I'm assuming they were in a rush when they filmed the epilogue?
Yeah, I totally was hoping too to see how Jasper is managing the "only feed from vampires", hopefully it will be shown one day.
@@verath2648 and now you know ;)
I'm not sure she's gone tho
the growing pain on jaspers face as they just... talk.....
Priceless.
this was sad and really got the "personal horror" aspect of VtM =/
Alex Ward is such an amazing actor. Every facial expression and movement is true to the character and the way he infuses silence with intention is wondrous. ALso, Jason is truly a master storyteller (as in both the game term and the term in general); I would count myself as extremely lucky to be a fraction as good at storytelling as he is, one day.
Gosh, watching this series has been single-handedly pulling me out of my acting-slump and driving me to keep improving and to take the leap and apply for drama academies in the US this upcoming year. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for the inspiration this series has brought me, but I shall try by saying thank you. Thank you all so much.

Quote I made about VtM a month or so ago "Not every gun is Chekhov's".
But, Jason Carl made sure that gun was on the mantle and in clear sight.
I just wanna say that I love Jasper an unhealthy amount.
I want his sweatshirt thing. Amazing character and personality. He's warm, and a really amazing Nosferatu 😊
This was so unexpectedly good. Jasper's face journey was priceless and then when the music dropped, ugh. It suddenly got too real.
I thought Juan was talking to Chloe at first, and I was gonna be like, "Sorry, Juan, this show got renewed for a second season."
I'm just now watching this for filler between episodes of BDS and Jasper is by far my favorite character! And I too thought Juan was chatting up Chole, that dude gave me some serious bad vibes. I'd have followed him home and kept an eye on him for a while had I been in Jasper's place.
I'm super excited to see Jasper teach X to moonwalk! Uncharacteristically excited.
This whole thing was amazing. Jasper's note was so bittersweet. It was self-sacrificing and sweet telling her to move on, but the guy she's seeing is showing classic red flags for abusive relationships too. IRL never tell your friend to consider marrying someone who's in a rush, it's a *very* bad sign. I felt like shouting "No! Move on but not with this Dave guy!" ("I love you" on the first date, followed by getting serious way too fast? Noooo! That at least needs some brakes.)
Props for such a good job storytelling, it obviously sucked me in- I cared about the relationship of an imaginary woman I only met a few minutes ago. Well done.
Thank you very much!
The actors are amazing but as a DM for D&D I am consistently amazed by Jason Carl. There's a moment where Jasper is saying that this place isnt just a hole and Jason gives this well-placed "It's something more," in affirmation, subtlety at it's finest. Your even tone exudes patience but also helps build the tense atmosphere at every opportunity. I've had some horror adventures in my campaigns and I only hope I managed to have even a measure of the storytelling talent shown here. Thank you for the story!
It felt like that whole seen from X and Jasper, that Jason was doing all he could not to laugh...I'm pretty sure he used up all his superficial willpower. :)
It's not easy sometimes to hold it back, the players are all so good!
I don't usually post comments, but this time I feel the need to. I want to thank you, Jason Carl, for the awesome work you've been doing. I have been a Story teller for a long time, and have always been critical with my own work, getting a bit burned out of it recently. Seeing your sessions have reawakened a love I had for the craft. There is honestly no words to describe the feeling. Thank you Mr. Carl, really thank you.
Sincerely, a grateful fan.
Carlos, it is the best feeling in the world to share the love of the storyteller craft with others, so I am very grateful to you for taking the time to express these very kind words. Thank you for being part of our #vamily, and welcome back to this side of the GM screen. :)

Meanwhile, Jasper in the corner: *Silent depressed Kindred noises*
"You made your own meme?"
hold up, does Juan have enough spheres in Entropy to *do* that?
How many points in Mind?
It's probably Ramona having X repay a boon by repeatedly inflicting the poor guy with Incubus Passion; so he has deep thoughts and overwhelming feels about rats. You shouldn't kick rats out of the kitchen if there are Gangrels and Malkavians skulking around.
Like a lot of things, you can do that without sphere magic, it just takes a lot of luck! :p
@@Phalxxx yeah it was just me poking some fun -- in Mage the Acension "Create Meme" is actually a defined spell in the Entropy school of magic but it takes like 4 or 5 dots in to the school to perform, so it was a joke about Juan secretly being a *highly* accomplished Mage
@@sironastillwater I was aware! I was just making a joke too. (Sphere magic, especially Entropy, can just seems like really good luck, when done with skillful coincidental magic :p).
"Philosophy asks if ketchup is a smoothie." I love X so much!!!!
Wisdom is knowing that yes technically it is, but its not recommended by conventional tastebuds. Because even tomatoes aren't used in fruit salads or fruit cakes.
Jaspers expressions were the best.
I listen to this at work (with headphones) when X asked for moon walking lessons... let's just say bursting out laughing so much you start crying for seemingly no reason gives one a rep.
This episode actually made me feel so many emotions like at first I was so excited to see Becca but when he wrote that letter it tore my heart out😩 in my opinion this was the best episode of the series
Thank you very much. We worked really hard on it. :)
X calling for learning how to moonwalk with a vampiric favor. Lol I'm dying.
I was wondering what was wrong with Jasper's face at the end and then I realised his blue contacts weren't in.
From laughing my ass off last episode to actually crying this episode, Jasper..... man Jasper....
Also, like the subtle tie in from Juan with Annabelle and Mark. So very well done and I hope they go somewhere with that.
Poor Jasper. Loved this mini-sode.
Those are the character's epilogues ? Thank you so much for posting them here!!!
They aren't exactly epilogues, since there's going to be a second season.
They are the characters' epilogues to Season 1. :)
the way jaspers face twists up when wan mentions annabel. amazing lol.
"You have him climbing up the walls" best line of Victor! Fits most fragrances...
Omg! Jasper! 😔 I love his character so much! Alexander Ward does an amazing job playing him!
Incredible, isn't he? Thanks for watching!
The acting in the episode is absolutely superb. The cast here always manages to create the perfect mix for the storyteller system
I'm so happy they got Becca to play the part of Chloe ❤
I have a normal amount of feelings for Jasper. So normal, the most normal ever.
Me in the first half of this video: oh god, that's so cool!
Me in the second half: EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
Jasper silently breaking down while Chloe and her friend were having so much fun was just so sad… but I’m so glad Jasper wrote that note, though it might indeed not be the smartest move
I hope later down the story, maybe in the far end, Jasper gets a chance to Chloe the truth
... Had Jasper rolled higher he would have discovered another one of his kind sitting in the corner watching the entire scene unfold, crying a single bloody tear.
Just discovered this show and I've been switching between watching it here and listening to podcasts, but as I look back on the series it is so clear that the experience watching these actors perform here on youtube is so much better. These people are real performers and discovering Jason Carl is an absolute delight.
42:04 Jaspers face was priceless!
I must say that I love when JC makes sure to let his players know he's taken note/into account that they want something, that is 300IQ DM energy.
Also, like someone said, it was probably just because of time constraints, but I actually like how Alex doesn't have the contacts in in that scene at the very end. Not only are his eyes very pretty, but I also like the sense that this encounter with Chloe has left him stripped bare in a sense, like his emotions are all so raw now that he doesn't have as much of a 'mask' up as he normally does. I don't want to say that reaching out to her has restored his humanity necessarily, but it's sort of unburied it, brought it welling back to the surface so much that it's peeking through.
.
I recognize that I'm just overanalyzing something that most likely wasn't even done intentionally, but I really do like the symbolism of Jasper's eyes suddenly returning to their natural color after he reaches out to his old life. Ugh I can't wait for him and Chloe to talk! Screw the masquerade! Let love prevail
When that note happened that hurt. I felt that lol
that whole "anna is a tomato" bit was the most malkavian thing i have seen in a while
12:50 Jasper is like what am I doing with my life after agreeing to teach X the moonwalk xD
Glad to see some character depth solo arcs, that's proper vamp fodder.
It's nice to cut out of the main story for some exposition now and again, glad to see you're paying attention to that
Thank you! When we decided to try these epilogues, we were not sure if they would work, or if people would like them. It's good to know that it worked! :)

Character development has always been part in parcel for WoD games i've played in over the years since as far as I can remember.
This stuff is what sets it apart from most other rpgs and yeah; it's always awesome to see the stories played out over the big ol'interwebz screen.
Tidbits like these let us see more of the conflict which will inevitably play out in the main campaign when one character inevitably gets given a choice...

i love the labyrinth. its truly a creative place and i can’t wait to see more of it after i watch the rest of LA by night.
The sad music that starts playing when Jasper is watching his ex talk about her life reminds me of the sad music that would play on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and it makes everything that much more depressing.

"I have a pinterest board full of rings!" Jasper's reaction was the perfect mix of "I want to die, because this is beyond obnoxious BS!" and "I want to die, because this is my GF and all of this SUCKS!"
This made me so emotional at the end, love this series!!
Everyone performed fantastically in this episode. By far the most griping I've seen yet (having just finished season 1).
Welcome to the Vamily, glad to know you're enjoying it!
It's my first time watching this series, and till now I loved every second of it, but we've come to a point here where I have the feeling just to watch it and don't say anything about it would almost be an insult, which is why I'm writing this comment right now. There are so many things in this episode which have to be adressed here.
Real quick, I think the whole episode was really great, I love the interaction between Jasper and X, and the labyrinth part was also very interesting, but then there is the scene in the cafe/diner. Even the beginning of the scene is already really touching and how it's revealed to the audience that chloe is the person Jasper lost was such a good conclusion to everything that was built up in previous episodes, like in the scene where Jasper tells Annabelle how privileged she is to keep her friends and family after becoming a vampire. Jaspers loss and pain were foreshadowed many times in such a good way that Jaspers backstory honestly was the thing I was most curious about in the whole series. Then seeing Jasper watch Chloe talking about him and her new boyfriend really hurts, and Jaspers face during the scene just makes it better/worse. But from 44:46 on, the scene gets on a whole nother level. The change from the unobtrusive background-music to the the more present piano really comes out of nothing and just hits different. I believe it was the first time in this series the background-music became so present, really underlines how this scene is different than all the other previous scenes, because it's the first time we get insight in the real feelings of one of the characters. And that while Jasper is saying almost nothing, but Alex's acting is so good that we really can see all the feelings and thoughts he is going through in that moment. The impact of this scene is even more crazy when you keep in mind that, essentially, everything thats going on is just two girls chat and gossip about everyday-life-topics. The moment Chloe reads the note and starts crying, and everyting Jasper can do is stand there and watch is heartbreakig, but also shows that Jasper is such a kind and caring person that he even tells Chloe to move on, eventhough he heard that the relationship between her and Dave is about to become serious, just for her to be happy and save. The writing and acting in this whole episode was just great and very touching, thanks, to everyone who was involved, that you are doing this.
Thank you very much for the kind words, it means a lot to us to know how people feel about our Vampire story.
i adore how xander weves in and out of important information and nonimportant discussion, how he kinda leads you in one way and out the other its so GOOD not to mention how much information he probably has to juggle in his head to make sure he leads in and out the right ways.
