Definitely like the inconsistency of the offense. 24 points at home for $70,000 doesn't get it done for me against the cellar dweller northwestern. Having said that the goal line stands in the end zone will probably one this defense is getting better and will need to be
@@Darrell98277 yes I agree ur correct.. my issue is while I'm seeing explosive plays and the ability of there seems to be an inconsistency for instance said explosive play. Inevitably leads to third and one which the Huskies cannot convert causing a stall to the drive. Well I do believe this team has the ability to fix that issue I prefer not to wait until it's against Michigan or at Penn State having said that this team is going in the right direction I have no doubt about it defense will make stops there's not one but two powerful running backs on this team.
Man was that a great game on a beautiful afternoon in the greatest place to watch a daytime game. Took the kids to their first game in the stadium. And had to tell them how different the stadium was from when I ran track in that stadium. Like how there use to be a track and the moat.

Appreciate the perspective and optimism. Definitely some good things, but I fully expect several maulings as we go thru conf play. A patchwork team with some jagged seams still. 6 and 6 will be a good season
All of the Debbie downers assume NW is the worst team in the B1G. Everyone seems to forget that they did make a bowl and beat Utah in that bowl last year. Taking that into account, 24-5, gives a different perspective. Sure, still a work in progress, but that’s a hell of a lot better than the alternative. I see us as moving in the right direction and respect a 19 point win. We definitely need to get better, but at least we’re moving that way.
looks like a bunch of guys that haven't played together, kinda understandable to a point. but no more softballs now, Fisch has exactly 1 week to iron that shit out before the murderer's row.
@@dougrobinson6683 yeah I know I get it I've been reading these comments and everybody is just so enamored and giddy and up in arms with the Huskies quote-unquote dominance today I'm not buying it yeah I see some explosive plays and then a couple of run plays puts us a third one and we come up short and can't get it next possession another explosive play third and one can't get it spinning the wheel. The nice thing is the explosive play and getting the ball down the field is there but they need to get some momentum I aching the Huskies to start an old car you got to leave the key in the ignition for a while and listen to the motor spin and hope it starts once it does start it's going to get you down the road pretty good

@markcoleman7368 We've been more talented than every team we've played. It's Fisch's sense of game-flow (or lack thereof) that concerns me. I think he needs a play caller so he can focus on the full team during games.
Calling this dominant is a bit of a stretch. I get this is a husky pod but can you take the homer glasses off and at least be realistic? We played the worst team in the Big 10. I’d argue Northwestern isn’t even better than EMU. With how our lines played and our propensity to shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties and stupid plays (getting a roughing the passer call on 3rd and 21) we have A LOT of improvement left to make. Getting to 6 wins might be a legitimate challenge this year. Need to see everyone continue to play better
@@BlazersBozo thank you for your realistic approach I've been reading these comments and I'm mystified by people's inaccurate perception of dominance. The nice thing is we've seen the Huskies move the ball down the field in bits and pieces in Clemson we know it's there that's the good but then what will happen is it will end up being third and one and they don't get it next possession a big play third and one don't get it so without getting that crucial third and one they don't get another chance for a big play. For my mind they will fix that both of the backs look very strong. But without improvement beating Rutgers beating Michigan and beating Illinois is just a dream and without those wins there is no bowl game
We called the defense dominant because it gave up 112 yards of offense, forced 2 turnovers, and made 2 goal line stands. Feel free to listen from 21:20 on, where we spent a good chunk of time discussing the bad snaps, special teams mistakes, and more.
@LockedonHuskies oh so you do acknowledge your listening here audience. People criticize and why do we get you guys reporting on the Huskies? Do people hate us this much? Even Husky media they hire on people who are always as incompetently led of themselves. Looked at even Oregon they have Homer's, but they have tried what professionals. We get dopey and goober.
Yes. Good game to get right. I like our offense. We can run when we want or pass when we want. The snap errors are baffling and still too many bone head 15 yard penalties. Also, our kick coverage is not good. Last year it seemed like the returner was getting blown up every return. I noticed some sketchy coverage against emu and it tested its ugly head against NU. Got to get these things figured out. An average disciplined team will always have a chance against a good undisciplined team.
We're going to have plenty of Rutgers talk later this week! Early thoughts... LOVE Kyle Monangai and think the defense is extremely well-coached. Very impressed with what Greg Schiano is doing.
3-1, a dominate defense statistically this season, a decently high ranked offense, an ugly loss to undefeated rival (that is much more balanced offensively then most teams out there), coming off a national championship game appearance and nobody nationally has anything to say about us. How many teams have been ranked this season that are no longer ranked or teams with losses to lower teams(that somehow got a ranking just because to make the loss more palatable,Norte Dame looking at you). I am sick and tired of this east coast bias. Other teams lost coaches and similar starting players and still started in the top 25 to begin the season. Even last year everyone was reluctant to take us seriously.
Really? Really they're going to call that a dominant win? At home? Such a lackluster inconsistent performance I haven't heard husky stadium so quiet in years even in a loss. Failure to convert 3 and 1 3 and 2 after explosive plays will be the end of this team there needs to be more consistency on the offense yeah I seen a few flashes up in here and there but it fizzles out too quick if you want dominance that's what dominance is it keeps on striking up and down the field that's the husky way if you think that's going to get it done against Illinois or Michigan or Nebraska good luck sorry you'll be in for disappointment the Huskies need to clean it up the defense is looking better I'll give him that but then he offends to win the games 24 points against northwestern is not dominant
as someone who went to the game you could not be further from the truth. Husky stadium was LOUD, until the 4th quarter when the game was all but over. Denzel boston had a DAY, and will rogers looked pretty good. Yes, our offense still does need some kind of an identity and could use improvement, particularly our offensive line. Our defense had them on absolute clamps tho. Held them to like 30% completion percentage, had multiple sacks, 2 INT’s, goal line stand, 2-13 on third down, etc… Northwesterns only points came from a field goal on a short field and a safety 😭. We also outgained them by almost 300 yards. Yes, our offense isnt the most explosive or impressive, but our defense is the reason why the win is so dominant. Still improvements to be made but dont discount this win, go dawgs
