Thanks for this video. I once had the same problem with walnut at the tablesaw, and I didnt know what the heck was going on. Never had that with pine, poplar, maple, oak, or cherry. Thanks for this explanation.
Damn, you grabbed those push blocks like you've done it before when you were talking about tension in figured wood. You grabbed them and got them in position quick lol
Thank you, I am sitting here and I have several cherry trees that I need to get milled. the cherry video helped me immensely. My question is if you have a 20 inch tree, how would you have it cut up, 1" rough, any 2" rough? Would you just have them cut it flat or would you have cherry quarter sawn? Of course this is wet and I will need to dry it. Plan on naturally drying it my house with low humidity doing then making a small drying shed with a dehumidifier to finish before using it.

Some kinda Nice!
Do you think i could make a scabbard out of Walnut? I am not a woodworker at all, but I have a saw, a hammer, and some chisels.
We just had a beautiful walnut dining table made for us locally. Is it the wood that has such a beautiful aroma? Almost like pipe tobacco?
Yep! Walnut has a super nice smell. Just watch out for the dust!
