This is the 2008 Giant Reign. Is it already a 9 speed? If so, then you just need to replace the cassette and make sure your derailleur will handle a 40 tooth cassette (probably won’t, so you’ll have to upgrade it). If it’s not a 9 speed, then you’ll also have to replace the shifter. Why not go to a 10 speed? The main issue will be whether or not your free hub will hold that size (width) of the cassette.
