Hey RUclips, I apologize for the late video. I had some camera and editing issues. I wasn't able to upload me servicing the fork or the shock on this 2009 Giant Reign, so I will need to redo those videos in the future. This video is me going through the bike and letting you know how much money we put into it in order to get it up and running again. Let me know what you think. Best, Nate @WatchNato

Giant Reign Restoration: Linkage Service & Crank Arm Installation

Hey RUclips, In this video we go through the linkage and inspect/replace the bearings. Like I mentioned in the video, this service is overlooked a lot, and can cause issues with your suspension if it's not taken care of. In the video, at 5:12 I use the word "broke". What I meant to say was, "The bearing 'broke' away from the linkage." The bearing itself did not break. Thank you for watching, an...

Hey RUclips, In this video, I show you how to replace your chainring and bottom bracket; two easy parts to replace, but difficulties can arise if you are not careful. For the chainring, there are two things you need to pay attention too: number of teeth, and bolt circle diameter (BCD). The number of teeth on the chainring (especially if it's a single ring in the front) is going to make a big di...

Giant Reign Restoration: Intro

Hey RUclips, I know a lot of us have an older bike laying around not being used, so instead of giving it away or selling it for next to nothing, let's put some time and money into it, and bring it back to life. Hey Odissey013, The Guide T brake is pretty much the same as the Guide R; the change or Mai. Difference between the two went into the lever reach adjustment. I’m not aware of ordering an aluminum replacement piston for them, but the SRAM guides have been known to have issues when they heat up. Best solution or my opinion would be to get different brakes, or pull out the piston, clean it, and apply some SRAM lubricant on it.
