Those are known as longpincered crayfish, and they are native only to the white River basin of Southern Missouri, and Northern Arkansas. Missouri actually has a total of 33 different crayfish species in the state, but the longpincered ones are the only ones in the state that are big enough to eat.

Wow what an awesome family oriented Crayfish/Crawfish= Freshwater Lobster hunting adventure!
That is God's County! A Beautiful lake!
Those big sized Crayfish that eveyone caught appear to be the Long Piercer Crayfish species.
The Long Piercer Crayfish are amongst the largest sizes of Crawfish species, in North America. There are over 330 known species of Freshwater Crayfish in North America.
Bob, did an excellent job using the Dremal Rotary tool to open up the entrance ways of the Frebil Minnow traps!
You can also modify improve the traps by a- fixing in place a piece of mesh hanging in proximity to the traps entrance holes. That will help to deter the crawfish escaping from the traps entrance holes.
Check out the Crayster Crayfish traps. Especially the Snake River Trap.
The Crayster traps and related gear are scientifically designed and made to high quality standards in Idaho USA.
Wishing you all Safe fun, productive Crawfish catching Adventures!

Milo reminds me of my daughter who turns 7 next week. Right down to the "let the baby go!" with praying hands when begging. My daughter also talks a lot and likes to ham it up for the camera. Always wants to be the star. She is very outgoing for an only child. Everyone told me if I home schooled her she would be shy. NOPE! Not my girl, she also is very "tell it like it is" even when lying she tells the truth. She just tickles me with some of the imaginative "stories" she comes up with for just life as she sees it. It can be exhausting and trying but GOSH they are little endearing scamps.
My daughter is also my mini me. So I have come to terms with the fact I will forever be rolling my eyes at myself in miniature form till she is a grown woman and well after in the after life too!🤣 Pretty sure there will be plenty of 🤦🏻‍♀️facepalms along the way. Just as hard headed as me.🤣
My mama ment it when she told me "I hope you have one JUST LIKE YOU! Then and ONLY then will you understand WHY I am so exasperated at times!"
