I like this vid man, because sometimes it's hard to follow when you are playing fast. It's nice that you briefly say what the jokers/tarots do because it helps me follow along better
Thanks so much for this video, i'm a bit late to the party but i started playing balatro recently and was really struggling to get past ante 6 or so, since watching this video i've won on the white stake on 4 different decks and even gotten to ante 11 in endless! not very impressive for most people but i really had no idea how to think about the game til watching :) definitely enjoying the hades 2 content a lot as well (youve helped me get to 24 fear!) but if/when you ever come back to balatro i'd love to see an overexplain for some of the higher stakes as well. thanks for all your hard work!
Something that might have maximized your income is if you used some of your hands to play high card and let reserved parking hit every remaining card in your hand. I mean, you were making the quota with one hand, reserved doesn't need you to win with the hand.
If you're gonna follow up on this vid please do a general video on gold stakes. Its really restrictive and i think it needs a whole different playstyle. Additionally, covering gold stakes also means you cover every stake before it to some extent. Obviously you wouldn't be as strict on red stakes as you would on gold but if you're watching a gold stakes guide you probably need help on the later stakes anyways which are more similar to gold. Maybe do it after the patch coming soon, since it's gonna balance some stakes (i think orange specifically thank god 😅)
The interest mechanic is probably the only thing I wasn't clear on, but I've already won a couple runs. I was just buying out boosters left and right and if I wasn't lucky, that was the run.
OMG, I've played a gazillion hours of this game and I thought Yorick worked like loyalty card, with one x5 then it reset. I thought it was a garbage bait joker.
Thanks Haelian! Do you have a video available on how to beat Orange difficulty. I've been stuck for a couple of weeks...Love waitching your content. Came for Hades and stayed ever since.
Not for orange stake in particular I'm afraid, I was thinking of doing a similar video to this for Gold Stake though (which I suppose would encompass Orange). I'll think of something for sure!
Slight disagree on 13:33, buying arcana packs first. Doubling from Hermit only makes a difference if you're going under $20. I think you get a lot more value if you do a few rerolls to get tarot cards in hand before you open an arcana, which makes it easier to do faster deck manipulation. Opening arcana/spectral packs are your only opportunities to do this outside of a round, and you only get a couple of them between rounds, tops, no matter how high your income is. If you can get this stuff done between rounds, you have a little more freedom with how you use your discards and hands during rounds. Also good to buy the brush voucher before opening packs, because you get to see another card to possibly modify/clone.
@@MonoxideTF2 I meant that opening an arcana pack early to get a bigger benefit from Hermit only makes a difference if you're going under $20. In the situation Dan was in with $37, he could have spent a little money first before opening the pack, to stretch the potential value of opening the pack a little further.
A couple of things you could have discussed but I didn't hear you mention: Using held tarot cards to reveal facedown cards. Playing glass jokers as the last card so they multiply any added mult from played cards. (NVM you did say it at the very end of the video)
"You might be wondering what I'm doing with uranus."
No sir, it never crossed my mind.
Honestly this was so helpful for me. I really appreciate it.

Holy crap! This is great info. Thanks for working so hard for us.

Recent balance patch makes Yorick even better, pretty great now imo.
Luving Balatro ❤ Cheers Dan

I think you misunderstand hermit, it is at its most useful at $20.

Hey. I tried to tell you that you could "sun" three cards into a flush on The Manacle 26:30, but you wouldn't listen. 😢
writing this down

Hi dzaddy. I've been out of the loop for a while. Whatever happened to Super Auto Pets? Did the game just die? LOL.
It's still quite popular, I just haven't played it in a long time. Too many other games to try out.
Hi Dan
Hullo!
First 😊
