I watched several videos installing the blower motor and yours was more thorough than any of them. You provided better camera coverage and you were actually able to get the blower out and in quicker than the others. Good job!
You RoCK💥💥💥! Ur video was amazing, and covered the main thing that i had been looking for! 😁 "Quick, simple, clear and EASY to understand!!!" THANXXX A MILLiON!!! 😁🙏🏾⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Laura's easy to understand discussion starting about 3:12 shows the pull down tab and twist COUNTERclockwise to remove. This was most helpful to me trying to reinstall mine which had simply fallen out. It was very difficult to do when one had no idea where/how to start. I also learned the hard way that spraying some silicone on the plastic bits that fit together and the twist CLOCKWISE to click back into place!
05 Tahoe - The blower motor was making that same excruciating sound off and on for a while until it just stopped (died) about a week ago. It was cutting in and out (on and off) for a few days but it's not doing anything now. I was going to take it to my mechanic but after having watched this video (thanks by the way), I'll be doing this job myself later on today!
Thanks for the tab placement tip! My '04 Sierra was making rattling noise for 2 yrs at least and recently got louder. After removing the blower fan, found old papers and slipped being the glove ox and werr around the blower fan and some acorn shells inside too. Cleaned and blew it out. Kick plate and blower removal were kind of easy from watching another video, but fought 4+ hrs over 2 days trying to put the blower fan back. Should have watched this one too re: the tab detail - superb camera work and great info. No more noise! 💯👏🏼
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Very organized and well made. Saved me time and money. Turned out my blower had leaves and debris that I just cleaned out and now runs quieter.
You all probably dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any help you can give me
@Hugo Boden Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Very nice video! The one thing that you might want to mention is the correct socket size for the bolts holding the cover to the lower dash. Either way, nice job and Thank You!
Here's an important tip regarding all fuses. My directional signal stopped working and at another time my blower failed. I pulled the fuse in the panel at the driver's end of the dash, checked the fuse for being blown and corrosion, scrapped the blades with my thumb nail and saw a white substance appear. I whipped them off on a course rage and reinstalled it and I haven't had a problem since. Moisture in some form must get in.
HURRAY For Girls Doing Stuff! After watching half-a-dozen or so guys jerking around trying to be cool and still not getting done what they set out to do, I came across your video and I AM SURPRISINGLY PLEASED. Not only did you know what you were going to do and going to say, you also either knew how to use a camera or you had a camera person who did and you should get the credit for that too. It's awful hard to hold a camera much less, hold a camera still while working with tools and fumbling with parts. THANK YOU FOR AN EXCELLENT JOB - Atta Girl and High Five. Attention other viewers: If you have daughters, let them watch this. This is a good example of women being assertive and getting the job done. It's a good example of what women can do if encouraged instead of discouraged. And it's done in such a great way.
Hi there! We recommend checking every bolt to make sure that they're tightened all the way. If the sound persists, the motor may be defective. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
Any idea what the housing that the fan locks into is called? Mine fine is fine, but it has wallowed out all the tabs on the housing that the fan twists into!
Hi Lee! We're not sure what the exact name is for that, but we recommend checking the owner's manual and part diagrams online. It's possible that it's a mount of some kind, you may want to use that as a keyword in your search. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
@@cameronhicks5121 I'm so sorry, I somehow thought that we responded to your comment! I believe they all come with wheels included. Thank you for your patience, and for watching!
Hi there! We sold this vehicle over 2 years ago, so not sure what the size was. We suggest trying different sockets to find the one that works for your situation. Thanks for watching!
NEVER buy an aftermarket heater motor, such as Dorman, Bosch or Murry. You'll end up taking it out, because they don't fit right. ALWAYS buy original OEM AC Delco parts, they fit perfectly.
Hi Rick, we did not encounter that issue with the blower motor we used, but sorry to hear you had issues with a heater motor! Thanks for the input and for watching!
Save yourself some money and keep the original. If it's just making some racket but still working, you can spray some love into the small hole in the black plastic. Should take care of your issue. I used lithium grease into it with the tube that every can of lube has, and it took care of my issue. No need to replace it.

You have some mad skill to be doing all that and holding the camera. Kudos to you maam!

Hi, did yours happen to vibrate a whole lot while on the higher speeds? Mines sounds like a plane on the last two high speeds…
Thanks!
Hi there! We recommend checking every bolt to make sure that they're tightened all the way. If the sound persists, the motor may be defective. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
Well, that was actually easy, I was ready to remove those tiny 7mm bolts that require contorting your body😅.
Great video, thank you!

Question, have you had to repair the heater resistor?
Hi Esteban, no... we have not.

Is there a cabin air filter on this?
It's been awhile since we worked on that truck @MegaHowtoMan, our guess is that it does have one.
Great Job! (Made 100 Likes & 30th Comment :D)

Did you get the fan motor with the wheel or without? I have a 05 Tahoe as well. Might quit blowing. Need to change ASAP. Thanks for the video!

What size socket did you use?
Hi Joe! We used a 9/32 or 0.281" socket (shown at 0:25) Thanks for watching!
