- Judy & Sammy sing a medley of hits during an episode of 'The Sammy Davis Jr. Show', that was originally taped in color, in a Brooklyn studio of March 25, 1966. This is a special, celebrating 'Black History Month'.
Their duet on "Born in A Trunk" is spine tingling!
Wow they killed it. Judy was fantastic even with barely half her voice. Sammy was great;what a combination. Thanks.
Bless her heart. Even when she was truly sick and unable to work, she was forced because she was then homeless and penniless. She had to support her two young children and with all the responsibilities of being Judy Garland. She was an absolute pro and never ever let anyone down. Sammy was so very dear to help her through and to do most of all the singing.🤗😇💌
Sammy was a real gentleman, covering for Judy when she was under the weather.
Truly these 2 are the best of the best. Even sick, Judy still was fantastic!
She wasn't racist at all no prejudice in her at all. She didn't care if you were black gay or trans
Less than half a voice that night but she still proved that she was the greatest of them all.
The climax of this Judy/Sammy medley is thrilling...born in a trunk....
Love Sammy and Judy together singing...2 legends.
wow
wow
Sadly Judy had a bad case of Laryngitis during the Sammy Davis show
Love Sammy. He was always more talented than any one of the Rat Pack members. Never cared for Judy Garland. Then I saw her in black face. I knew then I didn’t like her.
@kiasky1 In her film "Everybody sing" in 1938, her studio mgm forced her to do the blackface to fun of black people in a bad way, Judy begged them not to put the makeup on her face, But they did it anyway. Judy knew in her heart that 'Making fun of black people in those days by "putting black face mask or paint" was WRONG. She wasn't racist at all, it wasn't her fault at all, it was the studio's fault.
