That truck should be a relatively easy fix! It just looks so bad because it's dirty as hell. You can get that thing back to mint for less than you'd probably expect. 👍👍
Rams didn’t really change much from year to year so parts should be easy and not too expensive.
It's fun watching you work through problems as they arise.Ingenious really.Well done! Thanks Tennessee.
Could be a cool truck for towing
or shop truck
With the cray cray prices on trucks right now, I think you got an awesome deal. 40k miles is like new for a Ram. Good deal I think
It’s funny how you stay so positive when looking at new builds 😅
*Loving these track rebuilds everyone is doing at the moment*
Wow no airbags blown with that amount of physical damage! I def feel safe in my 2021 Ram 1500 now.
It takes alot for ram airbags to blow. I did a 2013 5500 that was front end + full roll over and the bags were fine
I think it got hit without the key on, parked on icy road & something slid down the hill & piled it up with a few others against a pole, (the gas cap damage side).
This made me remember that lifted dodge 2500 you rebuilt about 2 years ago. This should be a great shop truck!
That trailer is a definite future purchase 👌
And airbags for the rear axle..
Looking forward to seeing it in service. Seems a good buy, especially considering your skill set.
Great truck.. That fix is a walk in the park for you bro💯
Go get in their asses Ben for the stolen cat. They should have mentioned sumtin on the listing bout missing cat and other details
Copart doesnt care. Last car i bought from them was 'run and drive' with two rod caps in the oil pan. You can decline to pay for it at pickup a couple times a year but thats it
You definitely got your work cut out for you Ben looking forward for the build thanks for the content 👍
With your talent,I don’t think you will have a hard time repairing this truck, plus it will be shop truck.you know you can handle it.keep doing what your doing 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Man I could watch your channel all day. Always something new and interesting.
vTuned Garage never disappoints😀😀👍👍👍👌i can't wait for the next video
Excited for the new project.
C'mon Ben! Chin up! This is right in your wheelhouse! Trucks like this are what you cut your teeth on. You can do this Ben! You are V-Tuned❗
Nice truck get to work I can wait to see it done! It great that you got your Own work truck!!!
there is nothing you can't repair. double thumbs up
FINALLY some good content!!!
Thanks Ben it a great truck and thanks for taking us along on your trip. Hopefully she turns out to be a good truck for your shop.
$6500.00 maybe too much but could be good. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s not a 4x4.
for vtuneds case-- tow rig/ shop truck 2wd is better. less power loss due to drivetrain.
Really excited , first viewer on your new post Ben , keep up the good work!!
Yes, a good old fashion V-Tune project he knows how to do and can finish...!
He hasn't finished the Honda yet
I was thinking that myself. Well within his wheelhouse. The Mustang allows him to stretch his skills. The Dodge- excuse me, Ram- allows him to quickly apply what he knows right now.
Yup....great way to avoid the jobs he has no idea how to finish...lol
@@WhittyPics Right because he's trying to change the color and that takes forever...
@@bobwatfprd2328 Ha, that's what I was thinking. Like when is he going to roll the Mustang outside to sit next to the other heap... Then again maybe he will finish it, I'll watch either way.
looking forward to watch this build.
I'm excited for this truck rebuild.
Good luck with the new truck Ben
Looks like a tough but not so bad project. My only worry Ben would be just how bad the chassis damage is. Fingers crossed you picked up a good one. Cheers, Bob
I think the other shop has a frame straightener..
All within the skill sets of the Bros! Will be good build to watch Joe
good luck with it, great stuff thanks
Vtune gotta say you amazing the truck looks great good job
think its a tad too expensive for a 2wd truck in that condition.. but definitely gonna be a fun project to watch!
Take the bed off, take the steps off (for good), detail it and get a set of wheels and tyres and you'll be so much more motivated 👌
You got that V Tuned 👏 be a great Truck for your Shop
Upgrade Later.
Good luck getting parts for that thing at the shop I go to on the weekends to work on my stuff 2019 1500 been in the rack since last summer
Gotta stop in at Bucc-ees whenever in the area!!
Sorry for ure purchase bro,gl salvaging it!🤔💪👍👍👊
Ben, this will be an easy restore for you. Good buy
Love it how you say it's not too bad, it looks completely wrecked to me but I don't have the skills you do 😁
Should make a good shop truck! Just wondering when you guys are gonna finish the Honda S2000..???
"when you're drivin down the highway and you're tryin to turn your radio up and you put it in reverse" OMG HAHAHAHAHA
Looks like lots of work nothing you guys can't handle looks like a good truck👍👍
I thought I had a deja vu on a video.. You already did a much worst ram 2500 last year. This one is easy for you.
Nothing a wash won't fix. Give it a good ol' wash with 160bar pressure wash and it'll look brand new. Hell it'll even fix that busted rim like it never happened!
Awsome truck V , gonna be real nice 👌
That gonna be an interesting project
you can fix it man we believe in you
My worst regret was the Brisket sandwich at Buckey’s. I made that mistake twice and never again.
Looks good 👍🏻
I have a 2017 ram 1500 express 4wd in steel color an I love it with 5.7 hemi best pickup i have ever owned
Buy the Inez hot rods 5/7 drop. U get all new bushings and control arms for the front and shocks and springs in the back!
A little bit of Filler and a couple of rattle cans and you’ve got a new truck!
Hey I got a Mini Cooper for sale. Also that ram is easy work for you guys. Keep up the great content
i think after your parts and labor you could have definitely done better, but i am sure you can still sell it for profit. im not really sure how much a salvage title 17 ram is even worth but truck prices are RIDICULOUS these days... i paid 6k for a 04 Z71 recently with 200k miles and a brand new rebuilt trans (so 4k for the truck), so it doesn't seem THAT bad.... although mine is a clean title
True about the salvage-vs- clean title. BUT! Since the truck is under 10 years old, Ben can get one of those scam extended car warranties we've all gotten phone spam over. So he's got that going for him.
That’s a easy fix for you, going to be a good shop truck.
Damn that thing is clapped out
If it was somebody at co-part who stole the cat , it's an easy thing to do , what with their forklifts that raise cars up more than 6 feet above the ground.
I’m guessing they had big windows? They definitely saw you coming 😂
Good thinking man when you burrow thinks is when they break
Nice truck, and the damage is maybe more than you expectid, but like you said with used partsthis car will be back on tis tyers in no time ! And a nice Truck for your self !!
Damn... I'm sorry... should of gotta ferd 😂 Sucks about the key, when the ignition key module fails just bypass it with the relay and use a push button. Most common problem next to rust. DO NOT UNDERCOAT! just wash road salts off and treat the rust as it appears because undercoating just causes it faster. Used oil thinned out with acetone makes a good rust preventative spray and just reapply it. All jokes aside, should be a great shop truck and the right colour for your logo. Do something funky with the paint and toss your logo on it. I see the front and back being black or a darker grey, faded to the grey thats on it, with vTuned Garage on the door and with the white outline. Also with the bumpers being messed up you could look into one of those heavy duty bumpers. Keep on keeping on
So now that you've got a new build/shop truck are you going to put old big bird danger ranger up for sale rusted rake lines n all up for sale??? Or possibly raffle it or gift it to one of your subscribers that 180,000 miles isn't anything on that little 3.0 motor the danger has in it it's worth a new set of brake lines little bro so I'm interested in purchasing it!!!! Thanks and congrats on the new build ez fix from my 40 plus yrs as a body/paint man good luck it's a shame there are so many thieves out there that are too lazy to work or whatever happened too the keys and cat on the truck it will be a good looking truck when u git er dun Vin or Ben whatever your name actually is keep up the good work and please fix the truck before you jump on something else and leave it half way done I like your channel better than any other diy car repair channel on utube thanks for being a good young man to watch build
@@johnnydavis5470 lol think you hit reply on me, copy and repost it bud 👍
Just finished up my 2015 ram from Copart , was easy to rebuild it thankfully .. 6500 isn't a bad deal I gave 4300 . Sunk 4 grand in it , Its a nice daily
Great buy hopefully 👍
U doing good keep up i Like it
Glad you made it to Bucky’s.
Braaahhhh we need that s2k content
Cool truck 🚚
Ben, As you know, used truck prices are sky high. With your skill and scrap yard parts, shouldn't take you long to get a reliable shop truck at an excellent price. Will be watching the redo!
Buy parts truck
Great truck to fix.
Nice purchase. Once you get it in running condition it should be a fine user until you decide to flick it off.
Hopefully it's not to bad to fix maybe do a custom paint job on it ? And a good truck to get other projects with and parts 😀👍🏻
I think 🤔 its a awesome deal so far 👌
You have to do the Laramie swap
I have the same truck, love mine
Comes in the shop a wreck it comes out of the shop beautiful.
Dang son this is awesome
$6500 with fees about $7500. I looked into bidding at copart up here in Ontario Canada. With the internet bid fees, the gate fees, the key fee, transfer fees, application of fee fee, non approved transport fee, HST, HST fees all the additions effectively double the winning bid. I was shocked that they actually charged you $100 to bring the vehicle through the gate. Freaking ridiculous.
"you won the vehicle"
"if we have to load get it and load it, the gate fee is $100"
"can I go in and get it myself"?
NOPE.
Now if I remember correctly, you can't also just show up with a trailer. You have to use a "copart approved transporter" so they cornered the market on that too.
Needs a bed tail gate fender bumper hood and good sweeping out.
You should connect a winch on the ground and back of the lift for situations like this winch
Sweet trailer
ahhh helll it will all buff out!
nice new Project
Put some long tubes headers on the hemi
Me and I think most of us like this truck so...Ben, build it and make us happy....
Ben, who knows...if the RAM needs a frame pull,it will be a good time to test out Goonzquad's new pulling machine, the amount of times you helped them out, the favour can be returned .
They have no idea how to use it in the first place he has to show them how
V tuned is paid by his service...
@@boboahb they have a representative off the company coming to show them when they get city power.
Ha ha, like he would pick them over his brother who actually does quality work.
@@stevesnvegas9040 i get so angry Then i am watching these two fruits heads
Very good
probably worth it for the engine and parting out. looks like a lot of damage but maybe you can fix it
Maybe he can fix it?? LOL Have you not seen what this kid is capable of doing?
Can’t wait to how the truck 🛻 come out
Nice new wheels, just need to get er fixed..
Love your channel. Simply car build not to much around. Perfect. Do more videos! 🙂✌🏼
I've seen vTuned straighten a frame worse than that, in the past. Hope this truck isn't too much trouble.
Ah the copart special. Niko Brothers will get that truck done no problem just like that
You need to get a V-Tuned sign on the front of your shop
I think you did good man, lets say it needs 4k ( over shot), you’ll have a decent truck for about 10k. You probably couldn’t touch a truck like this for under 20k right now, even though its just a 2wd. Prices are high
The cat-cut looked too clean to not be from the lot.It looks like they were interrupted and ran with the cat needing 1 cut and gone. The pipes were surface rusted, but not the cuts,7:43.I'd take this truck any day.It needs bits and pieces, but it'll tow your new buys.
My first thought was it was a bad buy especially after missing cat. But as soon as he said 40k miles this is a good buy
Im over here trying to look under the truck through the video 😂
tnx for the video
