Here in the UK we had a rare Supercell thunderstorm. I could see it 20 miles away from where i live and just watched it roll in. No tornado but had 50mph gusts and heavy rain.
I remember one thunderstorm I had, one of the lightning strikes crawled upwards in the sky and branched out like a tree! It was the most beautiful sight but the thunder clap that came after literally vibrates the entire house and had ears ringing after.
I haven't seen a tornado yet but I have see some great T/storms. One in particular comes to mind when I was in the UK in Kent which is an county Southeast of London in June 2014 and where I was staying I experienced the most active electrical storm with lots of Lightning and thunder, every few seconds which went on for at least a good 2-3hrs. I live in New Zealand and to get storms like that are rare. Great video. That eerie calm that you got before the storm hit is always a good indicator of a good storm.
Cool storm! Your voice is perfect for the narration. 😀 I'm in California, San Francisco Bay area and lived in West Los Angeles for decades before moving up here in '93. I love lightening and hail but we RARELY get any here. But, I have been where an EF2 tornado was forming. I was in my car with my two parrots which were in carriers. I seatbelted them in when I took them with me. I hoped the tornado wouldn't do harm and knew the seatbelts could help. I had heard about a tornado going near where I was, in a shopping center parking lot. This was about an hour South of me. I knew it was headed for the tiny city next door and thought for a minute about going there, but then I came to my senses. lol The whole experience I went through in that lot made me excited, then scared. I stayed calm and so did my birds. It was an invigerating experience! Then, I almost got hit by lightening on my balcony one night. I no longer stand in doorways or outside to watch lightening! Hey, what happened with the dog nextdoor to you?Beautiful Dobie.
Same I Also Live In San Francisco Bay Area 😀 And Your Correct We Rarely Get Thunderstorms, And I Also Love Thunderstorms And Lightning, And I Really Want To Be A Storm Chaser One Day 🌩⛈⚡️
That's a very familiar scene during summertime in SC. Storm clouds in all directions. I've already been in 2 tornado warnings......one of which was only maybe 50 feet behind my house. Was very small and moving fast, but still adrenaline pumping.
I love in Upstate SC myself. We get at least 2-3 tornado warnings a year, but luckily the tornadoes we do get are more hazardous to the trees and patio furniture than life. Have to go over to the eastern part of the state, like Marlboro/Chesterfield/Darlington County to see anything. more than EF0-1
I live in north central Ohio, which is pretty much a valley. We get tornadoes quite often here. I had a couple in our back yard and one across the street. The region considered the Tornado Alley in the quadrant 2 of the state.
I had a big thunder storm it hit are house 3 2 to 4 times so hard it broken are tv power box and struck us down to the ground but not as bad as this one
I experience severe t-storms every spring, mostly in the middle of the night or at dawn. I live in Georgia, which is right beside the Dixie Alley zone. But even down here we had some unusually strong storms this year. We even had some tornados in january and february in south georgia. We don't normally have them that early.
hi there mesiah weather i love your video i love to chase thunderstorm on farms if i am lucky hope on this video every one is ok in this mix storm god bless to all who go tro this scary storm
We have the same thunderstorm this year we live in Chester Springs PA and we got a ton of rain here and a tornado warning and I want to be a storm chaser/meteorologist wanna grow up
Hey, I had a tree get split in half and the gusts went up to at least 90mph, either a microburst happened in this same storm for me or a funnel blew over. All i know this was a year ago.
Dude! Great storm coverage! I live in Georgia and we get electrical storms alot during the warmer months. I've always wondered why lightning is pink during severe storms? Does that indicate a hail core? Thanks, bruh,!👍🙏👍
Your welcome glad you enjoyed it😁 pink lighting doesn’t have to do with hail, that’s possibly a rare occurrence that happens, never seen it but sounds very cool
An entire subdivision of affordable housing for a lot of families This certainly isn't British Columbia. Canada where I live. Would love to live in that neighborhood
wow thats crazy kinda wish i could experience something like this, maybe not a tornado, but a super fat storm. does not happen so often where i live in germany. also just a question but could you film more of the clouds, i mean like film less of the houses and yard and more sky in the frame? i would have liked to see the cloud as it was coming up close at around 8 minutes mark. :))
I love watching cops tv show K-9 unit catch suspects in bushes in attics in vents in someone’s house in someone’s car no matter what the weather is like
Shit this storm was nothing but flashing lights and wind. Seriously thought I needed to go down stairs before I get hit by lightning. Was waiting to see some shelf cloud form but didn't see anything from my end. Smyrna didn't get the tornado at all just bad ass lightening

I've never had a supercell thunderstorm in my life
Ok
I have never had a supercell, just regular or severe ones
You live in a lovely neighbourhood! Thank you for sharing this video, that lightning was intense 😮
Thundery evenings and nights are the best. Great video
Wow! You got some insane lightning and wind in the Mid-Atlantic that day! This storm just ended up being an April Fools joke for those of us in CT.
That sure is hell of a storm. Pretty frightening and not a lot of people ever gets to see stuff like this much. Wow!

This is a great video and you caught the atmosphere of the approaching storm! The big rumbles of thunder are just amazing
wow, lots of cloud to cloud lightning....musta been lots of instability up there
I didn’t check how much unstable air there was but it was probably a decent amount

Such a beautiful blue sky just before that too
Even scarier when you’re home alone
To me it looks like a typical squall line with high wind gusts and really bad rain with possible hail as well.

The rising motions in that cell in the start is insane!
The best part of this, is that it took place at April Fools 1st April
nah it didn’t it said April 2nd
That’s when i uploaded this, it actually happened on April 1st
Plenty of intra-cloud lightning going there.
Watching severe thunderstorms approaching is amazing to watch especially with the dark clouds approaching and a gust front
It really is amazing to watch
Its gonna be a weird year, thats for sure.
That the same storms dropped those tornadoes on Jersey..
My family had a tornado on the same day.
I swear Mother Nature has something to do with April Fools. On this exact same day it snowed in my country!
It's crazy that the same storm hit us. i remember that day there was a tornado watch
wait a min thats the t-storms the hited on pawtucket ri but it stoped thunder less then 40 mins cause the dew points is bellow 55
It's a default non severe SQUALL LINE
Nice and peaceful neighbor hood
Must be exciting to see sheet lightning, not scary.
