@@TheLorax862Tornado Sirens 🚨 After watching the progress of a tornadic storm that did damage in Ottawa and Naplate, IL, the sirens went off in Morris, so what do I do? Go out and film the sirens of course! This was the first time I've heard the sirens in Morris, IL, go off for a tornado warning in years. I got the Fulton T-128 closest to my house at Brandt's Body Shop on Liberty St. for the first activation. Then later as I was getting gas, I got the Fulton T-128 on Route 47 across from Taco Bell and attempted to go back to Brandt's T-128, but it shut off before I got there, and the sirens never reactivated. The tornado passed by Morris to the north and those dark clouds seen in the 2nd video was the tornadic storm. From what I've heard so far, it seemed to be an EF-1 tornado. It has caused at least 1 death so far in Ottawa. Pretty wild stuff for February. Support me on Patreon: / tommybnsf
To paraphrase George Constanza "The skies were angry that day my friends". I've been in a tornado, fortunately the one I was in was only an F0. An F3 came within five miles of our house and I had pink attic insulation coming down in my yard. That was pretty spooky.
This is really great footage and captures the whole tense atmosphere of these situations. Tornados are both scary and absolutely fascinating, we had an F3 go right by our little town in SC when I was a kid. I am addicted to storm chasing. Live in the UK now and the weather is tame. I miss the big US storms.
I had an EF1 pass by just 3 blocks south of me in 2006, we didn't suffer any damage except 4 inches of water in the basement because we had no power for 2 days. I knew something was different about this storm when I went outside and had a piece of metal siding twisted leaning up against my front porch..
This is absolutely awesome footage of a supercell thunderstorm, we very rarely get them here in the UK, here where i live in the Midlands UK were lucky to get a decent thunderstorm let alone a supercell one. Well done for sharing this brilliant video, i can only imagine how scary that situation can be. Some great lightening strikes too.
Those Modulators sure got a workout on this day doing repeated activations only a few cities and towns do this most others activate sirens for 3 or 5 minutes then wait for any additional activattions if the warning is extended
Wow what beautiful storm clouds. It looks like someone is getting dumped on with a gully-washer going about 3 miles an hour. And then some great UFO footage to boot at 11:06!!
Just watching this gives me the chills..An thems gonna get rid of them sirens for a thing on your fone if you got coverage that is....gimme a siren any time..
The last day before my spring break started me and my best friend were talking cause it was our last class of the day and I noticed it was very dark outside so I looked up AccuWeather on my Chromebook and it immediately popped up saying Tornado Warning and I go like “dude, we’re under a Tornado Warning” and then they came over the loudspeaker saying Tornado Warning and then they started playing a Siren through the loudspeaker and we were stuck in the school for over another hour! We were supposed to have much worse storms later that night but we dogged a bullet!
OK I noticed that every wanta be tornado photographer always looks at the horizons and never straight up that's the first thing you need to do if you want go out in your yards instead of heading for your basement or shelter because the things have to land somewhere first and can drop at anytime and anyplace.
we have had a tornado which passed the city of Paderborn in Germany two years ago. It even passed our house, destroyed cars and trees, and roofs, and some people were injured, but nobody died. Windows were broken... when it passed our house I watched out of the window, I couldn't see the funnel, it was raining, I even didn't know something like that could happen, I just saw how the trees were being pushed aside and things were flying off roofs, and then the pressure on the window pane increased enormously. I lowered the blinds in a flash and moved away from the window. I was only at the window before because I heard that the neighbor outside was opening the garage. Nothing happened to my neighbor, she jumped into the garage before parts of the roof fell into the yard... this one was just a F2 or EF3 they said, but it was still impressive, even it only took seconds to pass our location. As a whole, the storm moved 8 kilometers through the city in a path of 400 meters at its widest point, according to the news. There was so much destruction around our house and in the neighboring streets, but our houses are solidly built, so you can at least hide from an F2
The tornado sirens sound like it's from more Oklahoma I guess if it is how many tornadoes do they see down there every year? Or should see how many direct hits does more take a year?
Forgive me for saying this and I don’t usually leave such comments but.. what did exactly happen in the last minute of the video? Did they guy feel like going and.. he just went?? I heard liquid splashing! 😅
Was there any warning notice? Scary! In Texas there’s not much notice. I couldn’t imagine… definitely I’d be the neighbor to invest in the shelter. I’m always thinking about others safety when bad weather occurs.. even worst when we lose a person. 😢 Rest In Peace to the victims 💐
I live in Rio de Janeiro, here in the summer there are many severe storms with scary clouds, but as we usually say it seems that God is Brazilian and rarely forms tornadoes around here and when it does it hardly touches the ground, what has a lot here is lightning. For those who like lightning, I'll send a link to a storm on 02/18/2018 here in Rio de Janeiro ruclips.net/video/YZmOA_rNxQs/видео.html
This was filmed from Purcell, OK pointed towards Cole, OK which is a very small community South of the OKC metro en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cole,_Oklahoma
No screaming and yelling and shaking camera , good work man
That sure is an impressive looking supercell thunderstorm.Really noticed all the lightning that it was producing.

You were actually looking at the mesocyclone during the first part of the video. The wall cloud is underneath. This is a great video, though!
How long was the tornado siren going for
The sirens seemed like it went for onfor an hour at least, And the storm did not hit my town, it hit a smaller community 5-10 miles away
