is it the one all reactors are reacting to? i wish there's someone in the fandom who would make a new one that's more fair to all members and not just giving personality traits n showing off talents of their favs while just throwing some random context-less infos(not even that informative ones) abt members they obviously aren't that into. i think fans with strong bias or fans who don't care that much abt some members should refrain from making these kinda guide videos...but out of a few guides i've seen,my fav member has been getting the short end of stick n it's just annoying, thankfully this one is decent enough i'd say. for me, when it comes to groups i stan hard in the past(don't really have the energy for that now lol)...even when i have fav members but i tried hard to make it not obvious whenever i'm making a group-centric videos n not solo-centric ones.

it has more information about the group and individual from their pre-debut to present. Their struggles, achievements, their Genres and song writings. It's a long video but it's worth it.

Hello, I'm Korean Once (Twice's fan). I appreciate your reaction videos for Twice.
To answer the question for the policies, as I know, when the group comeback with a new album, they have kinda mood or concept (like dark, sweet, or lovely, ...). So they discuss the clothes and hair styles with their company so that the whole group members have the same mood. When Chaeyoung got a haircut, nothing's wrong but their comeback date was close and it was not dicussed in advance, so the company was just embarrassed. She was sooo cute, though.
But with tattoos.. It's true that tattoos are still not welcomed by most Koreans. I don't know why.. but it is.
I think in 2022 they had sold more albums than the combined sales of the entire top 20 active girl groups at the time.

btw, TWICE will be releasing their 13th Mini album this Feb with a pre-release single. They will also releasing their 5th Japanese Full Album this around March or April
Being part of the largest selling girl group has its benefits, so it doesn't seem like Chaeyoung caught much flack for her tattoos. They do have to be covered up on Korean and Japanese television broadcasts due to the cultural taboos and actual broadcast restrictions. In the states they are on full display. She recently got a huge one on her lower back called "The Birth of Evil" which is very cool.

Probably the best abridged guide of Twice, there are couple of longer ones that go more in depth that are equally entertaining but this one was great.
TWICE is a group that starts from 0 zero. Their company is on the level of bankruptcy because of the disbnandment and inactive of their older groups like Wonder girls, Miss A, 2pm and 2am and the start of TWICE is not that good interms of sales and popularity. But in 2016, their 1st comeback with 2nd Mini album turned the table upsidedown, the girls starts recognized by the Korean public until their 3rd mini album and from there, TWICE become the Korea's National Girl Group, Won numerious awards and become the Best Selling Kpop Girl Group in just 1 year of their career. Until now they are still the Highest Selling Kpop Girl Group of all time with 15M+ album sales in Korea and Japan alone and 45M+ album sales Worldwide. They are the Most Awarded Kpop girl group surpassing Girls Generation.

WJSN aka Cosmic Girls are pretty underrated, they have a lot of good songs especially their bsides. You can try to react to them, maybe start off with their MV called Save Me Save You or their recent one Last Sequence/Unnatural

Girls Generation is basically Twice but older xD they used to be 9 girls in the group but 1 left after 4 years if im not mistaked . Twice is a 7-8 years old group on the other hand GG is 16-17 years old so even though they have pretty much the same music concept you can expect a different sound/vibe since it was a different era .
so basically, when idols go against their company restrictions is more of a power-play (kind of). Like, the company itself isnt against tatoos, its mostly to protect their idol image in korea. south korea tends to be sensitive about that kind of stuff. Twice brings a lot of attention and income to jyp so chaeyoung probably knew at the time that nothing would be happening to them anytime soon.
The robotic voice messed up a couple of their names.
LOTS of people, including Koreans, struggle with properly pronouncing Tzuyu's name because she is from Taiwan (her native language is Mandarin Chinese). If you want to hear Tzuyu say her own name, the group was on Kelly Clarkson last year and Kelly asked her how SHE pronounces it. That is just a short clip to look for but you actually get to hear Tzuyu say it herself, the way it was pronounced when she was born.
You don't need to react to that clip, it's just a little tiny short clip that is part of a bigger interview of the entire group. Kelly adores Twice so she was really trying to be as accommodating as possible. Nine members was a lot to juggle but that entire interview was fun to see. :)

Of the others, Girls Generation for sure. All Night, Genie and Gee are all iconic songs.
i honestly love this group, they are the first kpop group i got to know right after bts and blackpink (i always mention both together because i got into them basically at the same time)

Tattoos have had a negative association with gangs in Asia and these ladies are viewed by impressionable young girls and boys so most kpop groups require no visible tattoos on their bodies in public view. Twice members have been together for 8 yrs now and their audience have also grown up so the rules are no longer as strict now that they are adults as well as views on some tattoo body art aren’t as negatively perceived.
Company restrictions are in place simply to protect the girls from the public's (mostly Korean public's) scrutiny. When Chae cut her hair short, (really short) during "Signal" era, it wasn't as impactful coz she still looked cute 🥰, it would have been a problem if the haircut didn't jive with their comeback in which she would have to be forced to wear extensions. With regards to the tats, i think some Koreans still holds having tatoos not appealing, especially since Twice was the poster group for being cute, clean, and bubbly. But since TWICE has been growing maturely with their fans, it wasn't as bad as the company thought it would be. So they started to show her ink little by little thru the years. It wasn't an issue when they do their Tour outside of Korea.
Just to add, the company was not against the tattoos, but they have to hide them for Korean TV stations, especially music shows, where they had lower age ratings (some East Asians are not that receptive to tattoos, especially when they are somehow linked to gangsters). It is ok to show when not in public TV programmes.
Every group in that list is worth checking out! all of them have their own unique sound and I’m sure you’ll love them. I also hope you continue on reacting to more Le Sserafim and newjeans! And of course my girls blackpink 😌
First before I comment the whole section on Tzuyu (when she says it you can here the T but Chinese to Korean to English I just go with Chewy) has been dubbed out with unknow music , just saying. The way I look at K-pop is it's like the 30's thru 50's of Hollywood the companies OWNED the stars as the Idols in K-pop are owned today so the rules are crazy for westerners like us. I'm sure they can fire you for ANY infraction they want, and I'm sure they have a keep your mouth shut clause in the contracts as well. It is a Theory I have that Twice got to break the rules cause they had JYP over a barrel they were his MAIN source of income, if you watch the practice video's you can see what Twice did for JYPE (check out the newer practice rooms all thanks to Twice). So Chaeyoung did what she wanted knowing her unnies would protect her from any possible back lash. The Tattoo's are more of a cultural thing she will actually cover them in certain concerts out of respect for the local custom's (fully exposed in the states). Not sure if you understand OT9 but what it means is that Twice and ONCE's have a deal we will always love them and they will always be a 9 member group even JYP learned not to mess with Twice when he did Jeongyeon dirty while she was out due to a neck injury (NOT a hiatus) and he tried to leave her out of things the backlash was instant and complete he's never messed with them again. Interesting fact at some of there concerts they will use stick on tattoo's just for the fun of it. OT9 forever.

anyway, about Chaeyoung, her hair cut is about to told the company first because it's might conflict with album concept. actually not a serious issue because they can have hair extension anyway, (but could be money expense or discomfort that they can avoid ).
and about the tattoos, it's about korean broadcast rule (also with 'youtube' in earlier state, but now i think they didn't apply this to 'youtube' any more) so they need to cover it (like Kang-Garry did on 'running man') nothing problem with the agency.
also like music rating, TWICE's 'icon' got ban from public broadcast because of cussed word. they still release it on the album (also in concert) but can't promote on public radio, that's all.
so, in conclusion, it's not rule that go to punishment but for process of working (including marketing)

Companies should respect their artists' bodily autonomy if they're adults. Obviously they should protect them if they're minors, but I hate that they are policed in such a conservative way, especially if what the members are doing is legal.

I recommend checking out aespa with songs like GIRLS and Black Mamba, they are amazing and have a very bold style, interesting experimentation. The girls are adorable + they have very strong vocals too.

idk wht but tattoos are not welcomed at all by many koreans, and by korean society in general. that’s why if an idol has tattoos they have to hide them
