Right. Its the problematic character and not the storyline or execution. For me i think i have that much maturity that i will not get influenced by grey or dark characters. But there are people who glorify these characters and behave like them. Have seen some in real like as people attaining kabir singh traits. All i want is they should show those grey characters or anti heros face the consequences, repercussions and have redemption and character growth. Which all these movies lacks. Like in kabir Singh things got better for him at the end, he didn't repent, he didn't have character growth, he didn't change his temper issue or atleast could have talked about these traits being wrong and no one should follow it.

Now we're living off on her pensions which comes to our father's account. Our father is a physically abusive person who beats us.I have a younger sister too. But now our father is having an affair with an unknown lady. We don't know anything about her except for the fact that she is a school teacher. We saw two pictures of our father with that lady which made us clear about the affair.
What should we do now? Is there any possible legal consequences we'll have to face because of this? Because our father has all the money and pensions and properties that our mother had bought, Will we have to split it with the lady or her children, if they have any..?

I don't get why every movie has to be morally correct. The title of the movie itself says Animal which means the protagonist is going to be a very problematic character, but some people just don't get it. It is not the director's fault if the audience is dumb enough to not know the distinction between a movie and real life even when the movie is rated 18+. There's a reason why people get driving license, voting rights etc when they turn 18!

Animal wasn't as problematic as it was just boring (to me) and felt stretched but it felt like the absurdity made it feel less likely to be replicated irl.. Kabir Singh on the other hand, that behaviour is very easy to replicate without much consequences.

At the end of the day all comes downs to you, if you can't differentiate between good and bad or in this case from which character you should take inspiration and which one to loathe then the problems lies within you.
People should not go to the theatre to learn life lessons, for that we have schools and our parents it's as simple as that.
By the way about an year ago 12th fail released in the theatre but neither that movie earned 900+ crore nor people took inspection from it, just saying.

Sometimes problems should be solved specific to a situation.
Indian audience are so foolish that if they find a movie character so interesting, they get attached to the character(Just like how people used to copy Salman Khan's hairstyles in the 90's). So if a society has to function proper, these type of movies should be suppressed by taking right actions since they influence a huge of people. We can't rely the functioning of the society on how one individual perceives information.

That's the thing. Do you think most people who watched this were able to differentiate between the two? again, good and bad is subjective, if you're a 16 year old who got entry to watch such kinds of movies because apparently many theatre crew members don't care (not uncommon), then you'd think that cheating on your partner and killing people, or doing wrong things to get your parents' attention, regardless of good or bad is justified, that's what most people who watched it learned. You just cannot brush off that movies build our beliefs and morale. not just 16 year olds, but even many adults don't have a mature enough brain to differentiate what's right and what's wrong, because we've been raised in a very conservative and patriarchal society. Not all people come with the same denominator. Just because you're a small fraction of people who appreciate it objectively, doesn't mean everyone is and that'll always be the case. Most Indians are not ready to consume such gore-y movies because schools, even parents and society at a large part doesn't teach all of this.

How and When movies just became a piece of entertainment ?! Movies are such a big part of 'ARTS' and 'CULTURE' people literally derive characters from it that too unintentionally Who ever says movies are just a piece of entertainment has serious problem with not understanding psychology of mankind its as simple as that art is inspired by real life and real life is inspired by arts and so does movies to a extent and people in do not differentiate real and reel and that's why they literally idolize movies stars sometimes as even gods think from a mass perspective bro and there wouldn't be problem of anything if they accept that the movie is misogynistic and have no relation to real life but they are constantly defending it that is a big problem as well

Movies are a powerful medium for storytelling and reflection, but they are just one small fraction of many influences on behavior. While they can shape perceptions and attitudes, personal choices and actions which are more important are influenced by a combination of factors, including upbringing, social environment, and personal values. Encouraging critical viewing and media literacy can help people enjoy movies while maintaining a healthy perspective on their impact. Although everyone knows what good it serves when you are 100% truthful & never lie but still everyone choose to lie with their excuses; nobody wants good they just pretend they want good. What everyone want is a self-serving interest. So, saying movies like "Animal" will create havoc is a bullshit argument. There have been thousands of great movies without negative impacts but still society didn't change to be good. Though films have impact it's either after very very very long time or negligible. "Animal" is a brilliantly made film just like any other good film. It shows a messed up relationship dynamics between a father & psycho son(because of upbringing). It's depiction could be one of the infinite dynamics that you can show in such relations.

But whereas movies or shows which have a grey area of right or wrong gets manipulative , ( simply by putting some realtable content and mixing which something erong things) , a kind of soft manipulation or narrative building where a person have difficulty to rethink and mostly replicate in reality unknowingly.

Portraying dark character tells we talk about our acceptence to improving our selves from our past trauma, but there has to be a mature audienc to consume it and share it the way it should be. It will not only help our coming gen to understand the boundary of good and bad but also help our patents learn that there is something called mental trauma.

There were unnecessary scenes that added - ve value to the plot.
Character arc development, past exploration and present was poorly done.
The whole Bobby deol background and the recruiting of the Punjabi fan boy army was done in less than half an hour with no head or tail?
Where is this cinema you’re talking about?
And don’t even get me started on the scenes with the underwear, Namak zyada ho gaya, laundry, private airstrip. Sandeep reddy really was writing out of his ass with this movie.
I truly appreciate arjun reddy because of the nuanced, but also problematic protagonist he had in arjun reddy.
It’s one of my favourite movies. There was subtle scenes and a proper story to their love story.
There was also a character development arc. And in the end you could root for kabir and Preeti to get back together.

Not really I dont agree Shwetabh bhai. Maybe 10 years ago ya 7 to 8 years ago when people did not have social media influence than movies held great power to influence people. Now the over exposure of social media has changed the reality in its entirety. People now are not as innocent as they use to be before. How star and fan culture was there. Now it has decreased multifold. People know what they want from animal. These are people who feel oppressed in life. At the end of the day , they want to entertain themselves rather than being preached. They want to feel like the hero on the screen and get those pent up emotions out of their head and than move on and live day to day. As for people who go to extreme will go to extreme regardless of the film. When your own reality hits you filmy duniya ka bukhar 2 minute m utar jaata hai. At the end of the day movies are mostly source of entertainment

Most of our population is still living in rural areas and they do get influenced by these movies.
Why do you think this hook up culture is increasing in india?
Just because you have the understanding of things doesn't mean everyone has.
Look at examples and how people have changed in last 6-7 years. It's because of easy access of social media and people are getting influenced by such movie, series and western culture.

Sorry in advance if my comment is like a paragraph
If Sandeep Reddy Vanga focused more on his characters and the theme of the story then just making unnecessary drama, useless action for the sake of violence for no reason and sex scenes then Animal could have been a better movie and make an actual reasonable motive of their characters then just the stupid reason that Ranvijay wants his father's validation so he will act the way he does in the movie like this is pretty illogic in my opinion because his entire life was filled with luxury and privilege and when the time when his father got time he didn't use it and Ranvijay was just shouting and speaking nonsense things before his father got shot and even after that it was pretty fine and the actual problem is that there is no story and an actual character arc of the main characters as the main problem that I have, not with the toxic masculinity and misogyny and Ranvijay didn't even learn from his mistakes so what was the point of this character and the entire second half was very poorly done and Abrar's character was completely wasted like he was just added to be cool, do smoking, have three wives, rape his wives and die while fighting Ranvijay that's such a nothing character no personality no character arc and I like the fact that he was literally mute it was pretty interesting but he was literally wasted and I don't have to say that how Sandeep Reddy Vanga present female characters in his movies like we all know that by considering the fact that there is a mother character in the movie and he didn't even give importance to her then why did he even put her in the movie when there is no importance of her in the entire film then why didn't he just killed her in the beginning of the movie to make sense that why Ranvijay's father is a little bit distinct but he is trying to be a good father to his children but we didn't get any of this and that is very disappointing and to me the entire characters in this movie are very poorly written and this movie was just bad and to me I was pretty shocked that this movie became box office success considering the fact that this movie is literally bad. And to be honest Ranvijay's character has no actual motive to even be angry and literally be the way before his father got shot like seriously and this movie could have been a really good father son relationship movie if they give more screen time to Anil Kapoor's character and Ranvijay could be a simple and complex relationship but we never got and this is the thing that it baffled be so much when I saw the movie because the trailer give me a lot of hopes but I was disappointed and I think that the filmmakers think that when a male character be that angry young man and putting some action scenes where people are literally getting killed without making any sense in the context of the film will literally bring the audience specially male audience to the cinemas and this is the thing that a lot of people don't watch actual artistic cinema where a lot of films that are well written and deserves to get a big hit in cinema but not able to get enough box office hit as this type of dogshit movies with bad writing. Anonymously creators like PJ explained and others just literally hyped this movie way to much for no reason and giving their all the time philosophical reasons why this movie is good but still we will not talk about the negatives and those things that make this movie bad.

I don't know if I should be writing this as a grown up adult but Animal did influence me too. I was an occasional smoker, 2-3 cigarettes a day. Animal made smoking cool for me, my cigarettes count increased up to 10 a day, this went on for 2 months when I realised that I was becoming an addict , I completely stopped smoking, now it's back to 1-2 a day. Movies can not be blamed for expressing there stories as long as the audience is mature enough to see the differemce between reel and real life. Majority of Indian audiences can not distinguish between that line, especially the children so India needs better censorship laws for sure.
