    very good Marion. yes farmers need to try stuff. we are working our way down to the low 100's. not many years ago it was 200k drilled, high 170/180 in rows. now we area down to the 120-150k area. keep in mind I have an environment that more times then not we need volume of seed vs a few quality seed produced.

    I was expecting you to say you plant 85,000. Wow! I thought I was skimpy at 140,000

    Thanks so much for this. I guess my next step is to buy a corn soy planter with 15" and get good depth control and accurate spacing. I no till on clay loam. Any comments on what I need? Trash whippers, coulters, hydraulic down pressure?

    Is that 50k on 15” rows or 30”?
