It’s a thing I call running into walls until I hit a window or a door . . . or knock the damn thing down . . . Im 52, first diagnosed with ADD in 1980 . . . just now coming to understand what it is . . . so much mourning for what could have been, but I’m learning to love me for real, even if I’m broken and bruised from hitting too many walls . . . its always one foot in front of the other.

❤ Try the brown noise one instead. It was like instant heaven to me. This one hits me wrong, like binaural beats tracks. I think Dr. Amen is right and that there are different types of ADHD.

@@philosoraptorvi5309 Doesn't ADHD kind of imply inattentiveness? As someone who has been given a ADHD diagnosis - others as well - I don't understand and, rather despise this glorification culture of "symptom flex'n", which, mkst of theze people wouldn't fall under a "true diagnosis"; the standards and qualifications required to become an "expert" these days has plummeted drastically, and future trends show this to be a continual nosedive.
TLDR; Educate YOURSELF & learn the symptoms of your actual diagnosis, rather than adding superfluous adjectives to an already "loose-spectrum" of qualification.

Thank you for this newer version of ADHD focus sound. I've been having some success with the old ADHD focus video on this channel, the one with the waterfall. After about 7 minutes it kicks in and I can often get myself to sit down to work on something, and once going, i just can't stop :D , i even kicked mom out once because I was "busy" and with the help of that video, kept going rather than get devastated/derrailed by the rude interruption (Yes the work was important).
The head fog is intense today, due to pre-menstrual symptoms, so that waterfall one just somehow wasn't quite keeping me in check even though it has a good calming effect. I tried everything to get myself to do that one thing I sort of want to do today, but my body just wondered around aimlessly, ate snacks and chocolate all day.
Then i found this video, sounds soothing, despite the distant echo and subtle aroma of a wood saw within the music XD.
feels like it might kick in and work.
Just one teeny tiny step at a time.

    • @reicrystalline2506
      @reicrystalline2506 Год назад +9

      update:
      It worked.
      I wanted it to work.
it took ~25 minutes of listening and preparing for the effect to kick in.
i started by just bringing out the tools for the first step of my work, and went from there, the music just seems to keep me on track.
While i wait for the project to dry - impatient for the next step - i wrote out the next steps i need to do.
I have 20 other things usually pulling on my attention, but these ADHD sounds help me pretend there is only just the one thing now, and nothing else.
*Especially better when wearing noise cancelling headphones.
      👍👍

Yes, I was listening to this at 2am and my brain relaxed and finally fell asleep. I'm adhd with severe chronic insomnia for the past 25 yrs. Every night I layer up gaba,melatonin,5htp etc supplement, with Nyquil and 4 Advil pm. Or Mucinex Night shift as i do have bad allergies and a deviated septum(snoring) I will one day get fix..
My only problem is that with binaural, bilateral, 8 and 10D you need headphones and I can't sleep with them. So I can get really relax and doze off for a while but sooner than later, I take my headphones off and I'm awake again. But I do love these.
I wake up(assuming I slept), and start early studying for my PN NCLEX EXAM in 2.5 weeks, which is to get my license to practice as an LPN(1 Step below RN).

the Technology isn't new ( 8D Audio ) it's basically binaural panning with automation ( me music producer with ADD )
In my experience I would rather listen to a pure binaural frequency theta( 4hz - 8hz) or delta( less then 0.1hz /3.5hz)
delta is present in infants till 1 and theta is normal for childeren till the age of 13 so yeah my logical mind says use this.

What's wrong with me? Everybody praises how this helps them concentrate, but for me it does the opposite, annoy the heck out of me, and direct my concentration on the "music" and not in my work.

It’s different for each ADHD person i think. The bouncing between right and left ear stimulates my brain, but also hells me relax

You are better consult by not being too long on any digital gadget when you want to sleep well. ADHD has nothing to do with focus issues. A running mind can only lead to concentration issues which is completely different to focusing. It's also no issue to focus on something what is interesting. Listen to music which you enjoy personally and forget all those rubbish advices which are created for labels and not for people.

Hi Julie. I get where you are coming from regarding digital gadgets. We have to have time away. While I agree that labels can create stereotypes, I have to ask - have you been diagnosed with ADHD? I don't wear mine like a cloak, but it is very real and includes things like hyper-focus. Those who are truly neurodivergent have brains that work differently. It isn't a bad thing, just different.

  • @pixiwix

I have ADHD but I also have pretty severe anxiety that I'm perpetually trying to get a grip on. This noise triggers my anxiety so hard that i can't last more than fifteen seconds into it. I don't see how anyone is able to focus through this...
