she was one of the sweetest in produce, she never fell out of line, was sweet and kind. she's a very pretty girl who worked hard for her dreams. she has so many redeeming qualities, it's horrible that people keep talking about her body proportions when that's the one thing she can't change about herself. she's pretty, inside and out, no matter what and that's why insecure people need to hate on her. it's so unecessary.

Although IOI is turning into a sad memory for most of the members, acting could become her saving grace. Don't know if she will resign this year or what's left for the group atm. I think the worst part about the way Chaeyeon was shamed is that it was over something she physically couldn't change. You're proportions are set regardless of her weight and they tore at her confidence over something so trivial.

the thing with her proportions is that there’s nothing wrong with it to begin with. that’s how an average body look like. the “long” legs that most idols have is an illusion made by skinny thin legs paired with high waisted pants and high heels. dia’s stylist really did not know how to make chaeyeon look good in her body. because of that she had to lose a lot of weight to get those proportions.

Those comments were HORRID. For those incels to keep spewing such awful things time and time again is just... pure evil. Can't imagine how she must've felt , the many times her integrity was questioned when it came to cosmetic surgery she's had done, her weight back in middle school... I was drained just watching her power through it everytime.
She's proven to be so sweet and considerate in spite of all the hurt she's received. She's handled all that's been thrown at her with so much grace it BLOWS MY MIND. I'm so proud of how far she's come. I hope she's learning to love and accept herself after listening to people point out all her insecurities to her face so publicly all this time.
The Kpop community preaches special support for idols who get so much hate, they act like they can prevent the same tragic things that happened from happening again without actually doing anything about it. She seems to have way better character than many popular idols and yet doesn't get half the hype. I truly hope she's no longer under MBK Ent.
Neitens: be thin, pretty, long legs, petite, graceful, small face, perfect skin, always smiling (even when no cameras are on you), curvy, also natural, full of energy while training 10 hrs a day, filming 10 hrs a day, working out 3 hours a day, and promo every second you can. I have short legs(not sure if my torso is long in comparison, I’m 5’5) and I didn’t even know until some random guy at a bar told me. Then other people said yes when I asked. I became self conscious ever since. I can’t change my bones or proportions and it’s horrible to be bullied over something like that. And she doesn’t even look like she has short legs! It’s just in comparison to all the other idols.
I completely understand what you mean. People don’t realize that off hand comments do actually impact people and it sticks in peoples minds forever. I’ve had a similar situation happen to me when I was in middle school and even now I still have insecurities because of it. It doesn’t cost anything to keep negative opinions to oneself

It’s not their fault that they have to lie about it, the company restricts them from saying anything - if they do, they’ll probably get into trouble. But there are some idols that just don’t want to admit that they had plastic surgery.
I don't think thats something you should hate people for. A lot of people probably hide it because of the stigma surrounding it and they don't want to be shamed/hated on for it

This type of hatred of idols makes you exactly like they netizens who bully the idols and are never satisfied. They don’t have to disclose anything to you. If they didn’t look “pretty” they would be torn to shreds (more than they already are) so of course many would feel the need to get plastic surgery done. I feel like camera angles and the wrong outfits made her look waaay stockier than she actually is. Unless you have the "perfect" body some clothing will look unflattering on camera.

Actually. They produce their own music. Atleast 29/30 of their song are produce by themself. One of them is Will you go out with me. (At least 5 member participate in writing and compising). With huihyeon and yebin the one who write the most.

Its just MBK that overwork them. And drop them as soon as their sales drop. (Their peak is E905 which is their best selling album they sold 37k including the repackage album that sold around 10k).
Since woo woo comeback. MBK tend to delay their comeback for several month after first press announcement. And, this is the worst. They actually planned to comeback last year. But, it never happened until now. And since woo woo comeback. Their sales drop so much. Flower4season only sold around 6k album.
And now, they under pocketdol studio now (MBK subdiary). (I believe since 2017/early 2018) And the worst part is. Seunghee (DIA ex member) is their producer/manager of pocketdol studio.

She probably thinks she has to look perfect 24/7 and that she is the prettiest in the industry now. Don’t get me wrong on my last remark. Somi mentioned she also suffered from the ‘celebrity disease’ and had become more humble when realizing that she wasn’t on top of the world. Wonyoung is very young too and probably has a lot of learning to do.
For teens it’s all about looks, Wonyoung is a teen. She probably also feels immense pressure because she gets pushed the most out of all IVE members. People constantly talk about her looks, she’s the thumbnail on IVE videos and articles.. it must be hard atm.
She is so beautiful and captivated me the first time I watch Ive. But the pink sleeveless dress really highlight her skeletal arms. I hope the company make her eat more.

i'm pretty sure she was on hiatus during hug u era due to depression and anxiety. most of her idol friends were sending her ig comments saying "stay strong n happy please" :((( also she barely posted and communicated with her fans, but the only times she did, she was alone in her apartment with her dog. this girl really has gone through so much pain.

It's just shocking to me how anyone could look at Chaeyeon during her career and see anything but extremely pretty. Like I feel like her face set a precedent for what idols should look like (like the features). And she is the whole reason we have ending fairies now. And that she, who is so so pretty, would be made to feel ugly because her legs weren't "thin enough" is just bizarre to me. I just can't fathom it. So many idols, like Chaeyeon, are so gosh darn beautiful, and their own fans make them feel ugly and like shit for not being able to look like the exact perfect fantasy version that they want them to look like. It's awful.

But sadly some people points out things that looks weird for skinny idols. For example how disproportionate the idols head is. And others liked those comments. I just saw one and it ruined my whole mood. So I won't be saying the idols name. Cause the idols head in this regard looks just fine.

If it makes you feel any better at all, I'm an inverted triangle body shape and her/your body shape are my dream, I wish I'd been born with proportions like that! Her slim upper body + thick thighs are like my dream proportions. It'd take me years of lower body training to get proportions like that, she's a beauty and I'm sure you are too!
She looked great. Korea has strict beauty standards and idols starve themselves. They even risk death and sometimes don't eat for 10 days.

I liked her in my First first love. For once a female character in a drama who wasn't extremely childish or naive. As hard as these videos are to watch, I'm grateful they exist just to show how cruel the realities of this industry are. Fans get caught up in the glitz and glamour of beautiful idols without realizing the disgusting pressure these young people face. I hope with time that people will learn to be kinder. Honestly MBK is one of the worst companies to exist. I didn’t stan DIA but I know some songs and I’ve seen her act in ‘My First First Love’. I also stan BAE173. It’s insane how terrible this company is with their artists and how they manage them. They should be shut down.

I love that she still care about her health and knew her priority despite what people think about her, like she knew she has to perform so she ate to gain some energy, which is great bcs sometimes idol (or their company) doesn't knew their limit and keep going until they're pass out in the stage.
