Dear Laura, Thanks for sparking my love affair with cooking. I started watching your show when I moved for college and lived on my own. You're the reason why I not only didn't starve but won over my hubby with freshly baked muffins! Many thanks. Love from Romania, Ana.
Know what I did? I roll the dough out like you would for making cinnamon rolls, spread the garlic butter (leaving about 1 inch on the end), roll up like you would for cinnamon buns, proceed the same. Wow, so perfect and what amazing flavour that way without the dark crispy garlic bits on top. Thanks for sharing your recipe Laura!
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
We had these (the original recipe) at every holiday dinner and many times in between. Mom is in a nursing home now and she dreams at night she is making these and other favorite meals - bittersweet! Thanks for the variation, Laura!
You have never steered me wrong with a recipe! Love all of your videos on all your channels. So glad I heard Kristin Gehm talked about you a while back, and I was like who is this Laura Vitale??!
Dinner rolls are the best!! I once went to a Lebanese restaurant where they served us dinner rolls with thyme, the thyme was incorporated with the dough and they were heavenly good !! We ate them with Labne "Yogurt Cheese" .. So good xox
laura this looks beyond delish. Heres a great tip i came across a while back for rising ur dough. . Put a deep baking dish on the bottom rack and pour boiling water in it and put ur dough on the top rack and close ur oven door. this will create a warm humid place for ur dough to rise. its so great trick hope u try it!!!
You are amazing! My husband really appreciates my love of this channel, lol. Making these with Shepherd's pie for my in laws on Friday night. Thanks a mil!
Laura, a quick tip that I found, - it f you wear a sewing thimble on your fingers when grating anything on the rasps, it really helps protect your fingers :) Love this recipe!
Hey Laura:) Let me start off by saying that I cannot express how happy I get when watching your videos (this channel, your vlog channel and your style channel). When I saw this video at the top of my subscription feed, I almost screamed. I mean, CHEESY GARLIC DINNER ROLLS? are you kidding me? You are the answer to all my prayers. Alright, so I have a task for you, let me tell you a short story; my friend, recently came back from Florida, where she purchased a Watermelon Flavoured Cake mix, by Betty Crocker. Today, she surprised me with one, toped with a simple green buttercream frosting. These cupcakes were possibly the most amazing tasting treat I have ever put inside my mouth (and being like your biggest fan, and knowing how amazing ALL of your treats are, this is saying a lot). Inside these cupcakes were mini bites of chocolate, they were a beautiful pink color, and just amazing. Now, since I live in Canada, I am no where near a watermelon flavoured cupcake mix, so would you PLEASE perfect a recipe for watermelon cupcakes, with mini bites of chocolate inside and a green butter cream? You have no idea have how much it would mean to me. Thank you so much. Love, Jayde from Canada =D
Hi Laura, and everybody else, I love some of your recipes, the ones that I've watched. I made cinnamon rolls but I used another recipe for the rolls but used your cream cheese icing recipe, YUM! It was soooo good. I have to try your carmel/apple seticky buns and the Cheesy Garlic dinner rolls. The mini apple pies looked great too.
Omg just tried this recipe and was actually a bit worried when I started cause my dough wasn't quite as smooth and was worried about the texture but I stuck with the whole process and OMG it still turned out fluffy and delicious.... Love you Laura... Have learnt so much off you xx
Looks so guuuud! I'm gonna try to make dinner rolls with sun dried tomatoes and some italian herbs and a little parmesan on top! Thanks for the recipe girl! Lotta love xoxo
Here's my experience: I watched the recipe last night twice or three, then, I went to the website and took the ingredients' list & measurements and re-wrote my own instructions/steps list based on the recipe. Today, I bought all the above ingredients and started the cooking around late afternoon. I followed every step of Laura which I re-wrote on a paper which I glued in the kitchen. My rolls turned almost exactly as those of Laura. Contrary to other users who had problems with yeast, I used the one mentioned by Laura and when the milk & butter reached the temperature indicated by Laura, I added the yeast with its sugar and allowed for bubbling. I must say there's a difference between following someone's instructions exactly as prescribed and following someone's instructions while adjusting. Here, the risk is if we're a newbie, our instincts or perceptions may not work. First, we must learn from a good teacher or knowledgeable person, then, replicate and later we can get creative and add our own contributions. So: Follow instructions properly and exactly as spelt by Laura!
Hi Laura, thanks for the vid for making dinner roll. I’ll be learning how to make one soon but for the moment. My mom loves them. The other day I bought some that have red bean paste and buttermilk filling at the bakery and i bought 9pcs each. She finished them all in one day. I was wondering if you have a recipes for either of the filling? Really appreciated if you do. :)
Yea!!!!!! Great job Laura almost 2,000,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When u hit that can you make a video on mint chocolate truffles or birthday cake truffles
Laura, I am in love with challah bread. And I really need a good recipe for it to make it at home. Because it is too difficult to find bakeries that sells it in Singapore! :( Could you kindly make one on it? Thank you so much in advance! :D
Laura I'm the same, love my carbs.. lol Those dinner rolls look so delicious, I'd probably do the eye roll like you did when you took a bite of it.. lol
Hi Laura! I'm excited to try this recipe. I want to know if I can freeze the rolls once I make the individual dough balls? At what point would you freeze them? With or without the toppings? Please reply (someone if not Laura)
+sandy locks you can freeze once you make the rolls without toppings (before the second proof). When you are ready, defrost, proof the second time (it might take several hours to proof since the dough is cold), add toppings and bake as directed. But I definitely think you should bake them and the freeze the baked buns. It is not as risky as freezing the unbaked. hope this help!
Looks great! I once had this *amazing* pizza with a garlic butter sauce - do you think the sauce would be similar to the garlic butter you've made in this recipe?
Thank you for such a tempting recipe, i'm dying to make these. Can I use Dry yeast for the purpose. If yes, how much and what would be the difference in the process.
How is it that italians have really good figures if they are eating like this gooooood. The only explaination is that they eat, I Get fat instead of them
Hay hi I have a question but I must say that you are so good and when u cook it's looks so easy. Now come to the recipe I really don't like that cheese so what else I use on that recipe. Any other cheese?
Your recipes are just getting better and better! But your old ones are already so incredible so that says something. Keep up the good work Laura!

Can you mix the dough by hand/whisk? How long will it take?
Yes, you can. I knead the dough for ten mins and yield the same result as a machine knead dough.
