Lol I'm changing advanced config file since the start of Warzone, I'm surprised people don't know about that. Few bits this guy forgot to mention and they are very important.
1) You need to set the file to "Read Only". Otherwise you will have to change it every update.
2) You need to change rest of the settings too. Render worker count should match exact amount of CORES of your CPU. No more, no less. Very common problem with Ryzen CPUs, as Warzone have tendency to set that wrong.
3) After changing those settings for over a year, I have full confidence in saying that setting video memory scale to 0.9 works the best, at least for my RTX 2080 Super.
Why only .9 I have a 2080 super and I can go to 1.2
@@ealeitz99 You can even go to 2.5 which changes nothing. I went back and forth with this settings, every time using MSI afterburner and hwid info to check utilisation of all processes etc. I can tell you that after 20 different settings, this is the best overall setting for Ryzen 7 3800x and rtx 2080 super

this is partly what helps. the real fix I found is that if you go into nvcp > manage 3d settings > global > shader cache size > change from default or unlimited to either 10gb or 100gb (100gb fixed for me) and set video memory scale to 70-80 (for me in game) all my stutter went away.
I dealt with this on warzone 1 for the entire time. I found this and have yet to stutter or packet burst again. this packet burst (stutter) will lead alot of people to think it's network related. I did forever as the fps never showed a spike. but it was actually the gpu shader cache filling up and having no where to put new shader and causing stutters. hopefully this information with what creator mentions will help solve issues.
edit: as for renderer worker count. I have an amd ryzen 7 5800x 8 core processor setting renderer worker count to -1 or -2 total CORES (8 - 1 OR 8 - 2) 7 OR 6 is what I found has the greatest yield on fps and not feel like there is added input latency. when I tried 5 rwc the game had higher fps but felt like inputs were 5 seconds behind what I'd do on controller. best thing is what creator mentions with video scale and also using shader cache size limit

@@nsight4320 I have a GTX 1650 and I literally uninstalled the game when the season 5 update came in cuz I couldn't fuckin play it because of the stuttering, I'll try this "trick" maybe tomorrow or after tomorrow and I'll come here to tell u how it worked

My usage was 0.85 (at first)
First try: I went up to one but I couldn't get the settings I wanted. I feel like it moved Aswell.
Second try: I moved it up to 1.2. HOLY FART IT WORKED!

I have a GTX 1060 3gb although it does me very well. In fortnite I run 240 fps and warzone I usually get 100+. I’m putting mine to 1.2 so hopefully this helps!

Did you mention additionally changing the core count in the documents, by default its sets to 4 for everyone but not everyone has only 4 cores in their processor. Helps to switch that to the correct # of cores in your cpu
It's not the cores but the core threads/logical processors for example if you have a 6core cpu with 12 threads you would need to set the count to either 6-8, if you have 16 threads you would need to put it at 12-14. I have it set at 6 right now and it seems to help the performance a lot.

I've been messing with this for awhile now... I've noticed that when I set memory scale lower like some videos say, it feels like it makes my input lag is worse... when I set it to 1 my controller feels more responsive which is weird bc I wouldn't think that it affects the input lag... never thought about going over 1, gotta try it now! Render worker count, I have 8 cores, should I set it to 8, or to half my cores at 4???
try a render worker count of 7, or 6 if you still notice any stuttering

Does anyone know the technical side behind all of this? Is the game locking your VRam usage below 100% for a reason? Do other games do that too for safety reasons? If thats the case, then shouldn't we be sused out by changing the value? Sure it might not make my PC go up in flames, but can this have long term effects on the lifetime of my GPU?
Open your task manager and look at your gpu temp. As long as its at your normal gpu temp that you run at when you played the game before the fix, it means nothing has changed. Even a couple degrees higher is normal if it releases the bottleneck. Look up unsafe temps for your gpu but this will not cause thet

I'm running call of duty on Windows 11 with steam when I go to my documents and go into cod it doesn't show advanced settings. I looked through all of the call of duty code and I still couldn't find anything for video memory scale.
