Yeah, I had this verse used against me one person in particular used to get in my face and shout "don't you know that not everybody who says lord, lord, is saved" It took me a while to figure out what the verse actually meant I used to hate this verse so much but not anymore. @@christianconvosyou right the law was to show us we where guilty it’s just like if someone was to break the earthly law in had to go before the judge in try to list the good things they did would get handcuffed by police officers
Wonderful explanation! When we’re talking about repenting of our sins, would it be easier to say trying to not sin? I’m so turned off by that phrase that it makes me think there’s gotta be a better way to convey the point.
