The president runs it with the aide of of a minister of two, but the FCDA is firmly on ground in Abuja! This is not repeated at the state levels, where local government chairmen are only seemingly there to act as bully boys for the governors at election time! We need the same level of politicians as governors and ministers in the local government areas ! In terms of education and clout ! That way, power is shared right across Nigeria, and development is more assured at the grassroots level! Buhari heads the worst federal government in the history of Nigeria!

@De U, thanks for watching and for the suggestions, definitely we will try to cover each district and provide as much information as possible in those areas for people. But first, the plan is to make at least 2 videos for each district *( A drone shot and a drive-through).* So for Maitama, the drive-through video should be up today. After that, all other districts will follow God willing and as time permits.

Abuja needs a downtown area so badly ! An area well away from residential estates and government buildings! An area solely dedicated to entertainment industry!

There are. You actually needs permission to shoot. But most times people just shoot without permission. So if you run into problems you deal with it. If you don't, good luck
Not really, on ground even outside the city gates are very, very green. They are often near the rocks and have lush vegetation. If it's dry season you see scorched earth but generally, Abuja is green. I don't really know any areas/ districts that are not green at all. Maybe Utako in some parts.
@oceej Abuja has lots of trees everywhere, as that was how the city was planned. But unfortunately the Master Plan Is no longer followed as house building are just been approved these days without the requisite environment development.
You make a good point Ekwam! But it would surprise you that the poorer people are often mostly illiterate and ignorant! They would cut down the trees in their areas to make firewood 🪵! What we need is grassroots awareness to be made at all levels to emphasise the importance of trees and green areas to our environment and ourselves!
Bros, I’d take Lagos any day over Abuja; The Way these Homes are Constructed, like in Maze Format, One who Loves his/her Freedom of Movement, by Foot or by Vehicles would not Appreciate this style of Lavish Living, even though there is Lots of Green Space. Then, Throw in the High Concrete Walls, that Nigerians are accustomed to Building, Around their Homes, this would make it even More Intimidating, for One who Loves Freedom of Space and a Friendly Easy Going Environment.
Abuja is way way better than Lagos. The freedom of movement you’re complaining about is evidently absent in Lagos. Lagos is so small that the houses are built to be thin to maximize space and the quality and price of houses in Abuja is leagues above Lagos Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria by land mass and has If not the largest population. Abuja is more peaceful and ambient than Lagos. Summary if you want chaos and entertainment then Lagos is better but if we are talking about peaceful, secure and slow paced life Abuja is the place

Of course, there is No Comparing the Old with the New, but in this Case, it is almost Impossible to find Peace and Tranquility in Most Modern Cities such as Lagos, where New Comers are bustling in, in Droves on a Daily Basis.

Waking up 3am 5 days a week for 1 year to go to work that’s the part that will kill most Abuja people. In Europe and America and some other parts of the world politicians don't have crazy money, only a few do and they are already rich before politics but in naija they have the most money and live in the best places.
Hopefully the city is building expansive highway networks to properly connect all corners of the city in order to stay ahead of the population expansion. Also light rail to connect all parts of the city should be implemented. Proactive instead of reactive. Would hate to see this place descend to the caliber of other typical Nigerian cities because of poor road network.

Yes the town is green, but safe i don t know, next time y also video the fences of those big boys houses, some are as high as six meter and still have electrical on top. 😊
Abuja is one of the safest cities in Africa. ...very little crime compared to other major cities on the continent like Johannesburg or Cairo. You can walk around your neighbourhood at night with no problem. I lived there for a while so I know what I'm saying

I like your good job, not the city, because it is just a glorified local government, there's nothing in it. Just expensive because of the corruption of politicians that has eaten the country to her marrow. Empty and cannot compete with modern cities in Africa.
