It's sad that a 100 year old woman has the ball's to speak out about what's going on in the occupied state of Florida, but the residents are either to stupid or don't care what's happening.
There's been a lot of silent defunding of our government going on since the late 1970's which is *not* getting the attention it should. There's *reasons* behind the low wages and limited access to medical care and the profiteers in Big Pharma and their price-gouging that a completely monopolized media owned by three or four people/corporations simply *won't* expose. Since 1985 members of the GOP who are elected to office have had the opportunity to join the Tea Party after they're seated in Congress. They take an oath swearing to protect and defend the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States one day and then go join the Tea Party where they take an oath to *defund* the governmental departments that *enforce the rule of law* in an effort to reduce the size of American Democracy "until it's small enough to drown in a bathtub". I keep asking if this 2nd oath negates these GOP member's *first* Oath. So far, no answer. It's a good question and it *deserves* an answer.

I read it in high school and I went to a CATHOLIC high school. Interesting fact: it ends with the main character quoting the BIBLE! Specifically, a passage from Ecclesiastes. These “good Christians” are banning books that quote the Bible. That’s what a war on being woke gets you.
The purpose is to make sure the next generation cannot think critically. Ignorance is the intent… The end goal is control of the population. An ill-informed population is easier to manipulate.
