The Egrets Have Landed (Musgrave)

"The Egrets Have Landed" is a composition for violin and piano by the Scottish composer Thea Musgrave (b. 1928). She wrote this piece in 2007. The title is a variation on the name of the 1976 film "The Eagle Has Landed." An egret is a water bird. The music describes the flight and the landing of egrets into a peaceful lagoon located to the north of the busy LA Airport near the Pacific Ocean.
