This is great info!! Knowledge is power and so many musicians think that there is only 1 or maybe 2 ways to create music for a living & then feel discouraged when they aren’t accomplishing what they expected. I’m a singer/songwriter & I haven’t put anything out yet, but I’m sort of an introvert and haven’t ever cared for the idea of fame. I just want to create music & find fulfillment in it!! Definitely gonna take this free course :) thanks
I’m an emerging artist and I’m from England, UK. I’m currently working part time to help me with exposure to music as a career not hobby and pay my bills. I‘ve been performing in open mics for two years but because of the lockdown I haven’t been able to go. But they’re doing open mics in two weeks time. I’m definitely going back often every second Wednesday of the month. Going to open mics can increase your fans attention. Thank you for this video! 😊
Justin I would like to thank you for giving me new ideas of what to do with my music, currently I am trying to make music that is similar to what is all ready out there but I am learning all different things to do with my music and to make my own music. I really liked Tommy and what he shared with us. Thanks.
Justin and Tommy Zee, thanks for your videos. As a designer, and occasional stage perfomer, music production with such a mix of Visual & Music sounds like an interesting combo!
I watched the free training from Tommy Zee and it launched me into the pursuit of making music for brands. I started by mining my musical ideas from the past 20 years and editing to present what I feel are the "goosebumps" Tommy refers to. I scraped together a bit of money to register a company domain name, company email address, and a host for a website that is now ready. These parts of the process took about 3 weeks, and I am ready to go, complete with a demo reel. I wish I could take the course Tommy offers, but can't afford it, and it may be quite sometime before I can. Undetered, I have spent time looking up procuction companies and music houses, sendig short introduction emails with my site link. The wall I have hit is: I can't find many suitable contacts to introduce myself to. Do you have any advice on how to find suitable contacts?
As someone who is an amateur musician who is trying to change career paths out of an office job. I’m really interested in this type of gig work that supports brands. Thanks for the advice I think I’ll look more into this.
How is this different, then licensing your tunes, and becoming your own music publishing company. Musicians, be your own publishing/production company, own your copyrights, and know the business it's that simple.
