The forward pressure indicator is the metal Rod. All ski bindings have some type of indicator that measures forward pressure. It is an important that the boot toe is pushed into the toe by the heel when the boot is inserted and locked into the binding. Always a good idea to open and close the boot into the binding a second time a check the FP indicator. Be aware that the DIN release is a function of the boot and the binding as a system. You should check the condition of the boot sole in the areas that interferes with the binding. Just because you set the indicator to a DIN of 5 doesn’t necessarily mean that the boot will release within the torque range on the DIN inspection chart. When setting up a system you should release check it with a force measuring device to be sure the release values are within the specifications for your DIN number. Have this done at a Ski shop it is a relatively inexpensive service.

Dude veey helpful vidéo, today I bought this ski as 2nd hand and this weekend I'll try it for the first time. Hope it works fine and it is durable.
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
Thanks for the video! It's hard to find a manual for an old binding.
This was very helpful, thanks a lot.
Thanks ...that was actually a big help.
Thank you, very helpful - I'm sure it's easier than trying to interpret the diagrams :-)
Thank you sir
