Spot on, John! Hey..new follower here from Brazil. As a brazillian guy I agree on everything you said. Love it! About bossa nova, you're right. Unfortunately most of the ppl don't listen to it anymore. Young ppl don't even know how it sound. But if you go to a bar where they play Jazz, you'll certainly listen to some great bossa nova tunes. Nice to meet you
Of course, Rio has a lot of social inequalities. The way the city is structured it is all mixed together: you actually see rich people living side by side with poor ones. It shouldn't put anyone down, though, as the city is full of life, with very unique landscape and natural beauty. The people is often very friendly and happy. There's a vibe to it you can only grasp once you get there.
Hey thanks for the comment! I shot the video over a few days but the bulk was one day through the neighborhoods. I didn’t do the hike or Pão de Açúcar the same day, it would be too much!

Leave a comment and tell me what you love about Brazil!
Randomly running into people (i met in Paraty) in the blocos. Seeing them drunk, stumbling around is the most entertaining thing about Brazil.
@@Rsx6speed Haha I'm sure that was the best part!!
