We're hiking to Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! Join me as we find out if it's safe or dangerous and what to expect here.
It's a really nice hike to escape the city for a day. I love Rio so much because stuff like this is very accessible, and I honestly think it's the most beautiful city in the world. A Cidade Maravilhosa, or The Marvelous City in English.
Is the hike dangerous? It depends. Your level of hiking is important to determine if it's dangerous or not. If you want to know if it it's dangerous to hike in terms of crime, I didn't see anyone dangerous on the trail, but anything could happen.
In 2023, Christ the Redeemer was struck by lightning! It's a sign that's calling you to Brazil! Lightning strikes like that don't just happen for any reason!
