    In this video I unbox and review the newest weather station by the company Sainlogic, this is a WiFi weather station with all the bells and whistles. This can measure the rain, wind temperature and more. This thing handled 30mph winds and snow, overall I was very impressed with the Sainlogic WiFi weather station. I hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for your time and thank you for watching.

    Just a bit glib with the pressure reading. I note you were set to Relative (designed to convert the absolute reading the sensor detects to equivalent mean sea level reading). My previous model allowed for manual numerical correction of the pressure for the altitude of the sensor above mean sea level to give sea level equivalent. This weather station automatically selects Standard atmosphere for REL when the console is turned on (1013.2 MB or 29.92 inches of mercury). Hence the only way I have found to set REL correctly for the altitude of the sensor is to monitor the local isobar map and set an ordinary alarm for when a 1013 isobar is expected to pass through your location and restart the console at that time. If anyone has found something better I would love to hear.

    Hi thanks for video. Can the outside humidity be changed to dewpoint? I was troubled when the video showed over 4 inches of rain and you said it was incorrect maybe because it snowed a little. And you mentioned something wasn't right about a .05 reading. Sounds like an inaccurate rain gauge that's over sensitive which is not good. Thanks.

    Question: Do I have to have this connected to the internet? Can I use it on my own home network as a standalone device?

    Hello. Thanks for the video. Can this WS store data internally? Can you download it manually using the WIFI interface and a laptop/phone? I want to buy one and install it in a place with no internet service. Thanks.

    The solar panel measures light energy, it does not charge rechargable batteries.
    Just like this video, I have 2 of these stations and the UV and light sensors stopped working.

      mine did too… came here to look for info about that. Hmm, wonder why? I changed batteries in Oct and the uv sensor stopped working anyone know how to fix it?

    • @robertkirby3158

      @@trschinschin Alas No but I had the same problem. I note in this video the console does not show UV or light either.

      Not quite! While the solar panel does not charge batteries it does provide alternative power to the sensors. The light meter is a seperate circular device.

    hi ,Could you please convert the temperature unit to °c? Thanks

    • @timmedlock4402
      @timmedlock4402 Год назад +1

      Super easy...on the display, press and hold the 'set/mode' button on the side and then cycle through the different parameters until you get to the one you want to modify using the same button. There will be a +/- on the side. Use that to select your unit of measure. I believe temperature is the first one. You can select imperial or metric units in many of the parameters. It's even easier in the phone app. Just go to the hamburger menu on the top right and select 'settings'. Select which unit of measure you want to display and then 'save'.
