Just wanted to say I was able to have a med free natural birth and this video not only helped me prepair but I even listened to it to help through the contractions. I am so happy and proud that I was actually able to do it!! I really didn't think it was possible for me but I wanted to try, and I did it. Thank you!!
Congratulations, Rachel that is so awesome, there is so much power and focus that can be harnessed through the breath and while giving birth this is never more important, I hope you are enjoying your bubba thanks for your feedback XXX
Katie Kempster hi Katie, I was induced a few weeks ago at 38 weeks due to pre eclampsia. The baby was posterior facing. I was so nervous about induction as I’d heard so many bad stories and as my last two births were so textbook. Turns out my induction went extremely well. I used these breathing techniques, deep long steady breaths during surges and visualising my balloon. I started active labour at about 3:30pm and my baby was born 3 hours later. My partner was so proud of me for being so brave and calm. The midwives seemed caught off guard when I said I needed to push haha. Anyway just wanted to thank you again. Cheers
Love this. You have such a yummy energy and a very clear and simple way of explaining us confused mummas 😆💝 Bless you . Gonna go check if youve got amy tracks. Cuz you should with that soulful voice 🙏
Katie Kempster With your helpful vid my birth was AMAZING!! It was so great that I didn't even believe I was in established labour, the pain was so much less than my previous birthing experiences.. I even tried to stop the breathing techniques and go back to pushing because I thought it was delaying me but I couldnt stop, I trained my mind that well.. She came out 3-4 surges later and didn't even cry we were both so calm.. My midwives were absolutely amazed.. Thanks again so much 💜
Hi Teren the difference in the relaxation breath and the surge breath ( the one you use during each surge/contraction ) is that the surge breath is a long slow breath through the nose and an equally long slow breath out eg 10 secs inhale/10secs exhale...The relaxation breath is just in through the nose for 4secs and then put through the nose for 8 secs, I hope this helps X

What if I can’t breathe through my nose? I’ve been congested throughout my pregnancy, so it’s hard to breathe in and out of my nose. Any advice?
Try pursed lips breathing as an alternative.
Thank you very much. Very clear and concise!
I’m not really getting the difference between technique 1 and 2?
