New Fantasyland WDW - Martins Ultimate Tribute - Part One of Two

- Another colossal project charting the history of the New Fantasyland project. Starting with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea closing follow proposals that never happened for the lagoon, and its removal. See what happened in the interim, and then the original NFL plans, both before and after the changes. With before and after pictures see the land grow from the ground from start to finish.
Then take a wall through the construction wall for highlights from the soft opening of Enchanted Tales with Belle. See the layout of this attraction, and also Ariel's Undersea Adventures : Voyage of the Little Mermaid, before taking your place outside the planters for the first soft opening of the land to guests. Follow the crowds to Mermaid and take a full HD tour of the queue with the first guests to be admitted. Then take a full multi camera HD, mostly source audio ride on the attraction as it appeared on opening day.
After exiting, peek inside Ariel's Meet and Greet, Bonjour Gifts and Gaston's Tavern on opening day too and then take a tour of Be Our Guest restaurant too.

WOW!!! Another amazing video, Martin!!! My only visit to NFL was in Aug 2015. I found it to be a comfortable and wonderful place. On my 1st visit the night we arrived at WDW we were in NFL when Wishes started; it was mind blowing to have the fireworks on both sides of us. And our lunch the next day at Be Our Guest was the best Disney QS food we've eaten!!
Boy, I wish the Jumpin' Jellyfish parachute tower and King Triton's Carousel were moved very soon into the new Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom's new Fantasyland!
I am so happy they decided to build the Seven Dwarfs Mine train instead of the proposed Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty meet n greets. Those ideas were so incredibly lame.

I disagree. For many fans they would have had limited appeal, but for those who still believe in magic, they would have been awesome. Still, I'm glad they went with the coaster.
Agreed, the Dwarves coaster is easily the smoothest roller coaster on property.
The meet and greets to me feel like they are more for the wee ones, as a 50 year old male I would rather ride a mine cart ride that meet a Disney princess....it would be awkward.....just saying. Although.....that picture that changes to a door for the Bell greet looks amazing.

I know somebody already made a comment like this, but THANK GOD they went with the mine train. Sure it's short, but man did it bring-in more people, and helped the theming in many ways.

So the Villain ride would have guests fall to hell (Underworld)? This could had been the second Disney attraction where guests are taken to Hell next to Mr Toad's Wild Ride. This is only causing me to wish Disney built a new park theme to Villains someday.
Nyanpire The Cat ya the only villains thing we got was sorcerers of the kingdom, villains definitely need more recognition!
Disney world is rumored to get a Disney Villans Park that will be there 5th park
i thought that villains ride looked awesome but it might have been too scary for younger visitors

My son and went to the Magic Kingdom and the New fantasyland was just opening in 2013 and many of the rides were closed for construction, planning to go back next year...
Wonderful! I was doing the College Program during the Spring of 2012 and got to see of the construction going on behind the scenes. The part I was able to attend the soft open for was the Circus area, but it was worth the wait to visit Ariel's Adventure and the Be Our Guest restaurant a year later. Next time I go I hope to finally ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

To the person that posted this, I must say that I hardly ever sit through a video this long.......but you did such a good job of this. I watched the whole thing and loved it, and I plan on watching part two right away. That is like a mini binge watch.
You should watch his other videos. They go back quite a ways and explore just about everything that is the Walt Disney World Resort. They are all this detailed and well-put-together.

Love the vid Martin, but I do have one suggestion: Be careful if you are editing a video under 24fps. One of the clips you used to showcase the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has a jitter problem, probably because any video that's 30 fps can have one or two frames chopped off, if you edit under 24 fps. This can cause choppiness in some clips. But anyway, keep it up! Can't wait for part 2! -G.L.
I think I know the one you mean. The aerials? 29.97 promo footage that I'm not sure was exactly 29.97 to begin with. Dropped into a 25fps edit and you see the result!

yeah i think every disney princess should have an attraction about them in fantasyland (so far cinderella has her castle (im sure it's part of fantasyland), ariel has under the sea: journey of the little mermaid, belle has enchanted tales with belle, gaston's tavern and the be our guest restaurant and snow white has the seven dwarfs mine train (she used to have snow white's scary adventures, but princess tianna and rapunzel don't have any attractions about them yet))
also i forgot anna and elsa, but their attraction is in norway at epcot's world showcase
and i forgot aurora too but 6:09 made me remember her; but she also doesn't have an attraction in fantasyland either

The entire "New Fantasyland" wins the award for *lame*. All it resulted in was the loss of another classic dark ride in Snow White and then a gaggle of "attractions" designed only to cater mostly to girls under 10. Yeah ,the Mine Train was done to address that but you already *had* a terrific Snow White attraction that had endured for decades that didn't need to be destroyed. Hell, if they REALLY wanted to do things right in this land they should have made amends by rebuilding Mr. Toad!
