I bought my first Dake Bible in 1971. It answered every question I ever had about God, etc. I even had specific prayers answered. Greatest investment I ever made.

I Love Love mine. I lost my first one, left it in a church we were visiting. It was well worn by me. My notes, highlights, dreams and visions while studying this Bible. It must have been meant for someone else to have, learn and grow from every Word! I just received my second one and I am overwhelmed with excitement. I am a Bible woman. I love to study all versions and have numerous. Just like shoes and purses...😅 I am so glad I have got this back, added to my collection....❤❤❤ GOD BLESS YOU ALL. It is Great!

SOME BIBLE! I got one a year ago plus. Just yesterday took it out and spent about 3 hrs getting oriented in its features. There's even lists in the back of many of the Bible books as well. Got it when all this corona business was in full swing and determined to start spending a lot more time in the Bible bc all the farce had me in a bad way (bc I know what's behind it...). I remembered that the Bible says, "He will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee". Thing is, how to start was a thing but after watching how you approach lessons has been a tremendous help. One would think I would have known better by now. To say more would make this comment too long. Just to say, I've found real treasure in the ways to approach Bible study for Application. The Lord is using you for sure. Thank you. Love your zeal and excitement and how in many of your videos you say, "Help me calm down, Lord!". lol. Thank you for doing the videos and I enjoyed this review!

There are some errors in the commentary and notes. Be led of the Spirit of God when studying. You have to rightly divide the word of truth, line upon line, and precept upon precept. Prove all things hold fast that which is good.
I totally agree yesss I don’t believe in none of the Dispensation doctrine I always allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide I’m pretty good with chewing up the meat and spitting out the bones 🦴. Yet still a lot to learn. I collect bibles don’t follow or agree with all the doctrine but use them as resources to compare commentary. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
You should get the Bible before 1990, it has the original notes, The family took the crime to change the notes, How do you change the notes of his original notes of this great man??????

I got a used Dake it was printed in 1987 it has the controversial stuff that was taken out it was much cheaper than a new one and I didn’t know what date it was when I got it. He had some strange ideas about things if you don’t agree . He argues for Biblical reasons for segregation.

Thanks for the Review. I have had this particular Bible for years and have not really taken time to get into it. Please don't get rid of your Incense. Read about the Priest and the Incense in the Temple. SEE: Prayers of the Saints as Incense: Rev 5:8 Also SEE:. Psalm 141:2; Luke 1:10 and there are many other places in the Bible where Incense is mentioned -- A good Research Project! 🌺🌄♥️ Keep doing what you're doing! Hugs...
I have an old 4-column KJV Dake's. Obviously, Finish Drake spent most of his life studying the Bible. No one can take that away from him. He was a believer.
The only problem is that Dake's study notes are his own ideas and personal opinions. That's fine, but how does one know even half of it is true, or not? One must be very discerning when using Dake's commentary. Many bible scholars have published their own study notes or study bibles. They can't all be correct because comparing notes show each scholar will disagree with every other scholar on many points.
Having written that, I don't want to steal everyone's joy in using Dake's Commentary. Its good to have two or three study bibles and compare the commentaries.
If one uses Dake's Bible, there is so much there that one who spends a lot of time in study with just that one book will stay out of trouble and have the things of God on their mind all the time. Some of the teachings may be wrong, but one will still have a hear for God and a mind full of scriptures.

Amen Brother you are so correct this why we are to study to show ourselves approved allowing the Holy Spirit to be our teacher in rightly dividing the word of truth. We must operate in the spirit of discernment at all times and testing every spirit. Commentary is wonderful as long as you keep in mind it MAN ‘S interruptions NOT GOD’S WORD with that being said we can both agree no one scholar is perfect or knows it all. I’m willing to invest in a paper copy but I’d like to know from someone who loves the TCR as much as I do if & how you feel the Dake’s would be a valuable addition to my small bible library. LOL I have 9 physical bibles but we won’t talk about my digital resources through the OliveTree app.

I got my first Dake when I was 17, I'm 43 now, and I still use it. I’ve read all about people calling Finis Dake a heratic, and there's been controversy over some of his actions back in the day. The Lord is the one to judge not me. I don’t roll completely with all of Dake's beliefs, BUT there are plenty of things I do agree with. And in regards to the beliefs I do share with Finis Dake, this Bible is extremely helpful. This is a great Bible, I encourage everyone to read the Bible for themselves and look to the Lord for understanding. I'm so glad you like this Bible and found it. It is quite a magnificent work and a great tool for Biblical study. It does what a study Bible should : provoke thought and make one want to dig deeper.
I totally agree with you. Likewise I don’t agree with everything he teaches the dispensation part of no but we must learn to chew the meat and spit out the bone. I have learned so much from this bible as well. YES we must read the Bible for ourselves period it is the only way you will grow and know God Intimately and cultivate your personal relationship with him. Use caution when reading his Bible, he has a lot of bad theology in it. I bought one and then I returned it. he believes if you have enough faith you will get health and wealth.
