I think it’s neat how Ceaser’s “No” line is in response to the iconic “dirty ape” line, as the dirty ape line was the first thing Taylor said to his apes tormentors once he got his voice back, giving the apes a huge surprise seeing a human speak after they were nothing but essentially mute cattle who get brutalized. The same is said with how the apes were treated, nothing more than dumb, stupid animals living in horrible conditions and becomes a shock when an ape says a word back at its human tormentor. It’s a wonderful callback to the original movie and great cinematic parallel

They’re not crappy at all - the new trilogy is awesome! And technically they’re not remakes they’re prequels to the original
