I'm an American and I get emotional every time I hear the national anthem. Even more now than ever. Chris Stapleton did probably one of the best renditions. Please pray for the United States. We need it now more than ever
Thankyou for being so respectful guys as a fan of yours and as an American it just touches me deeply when you care enuff to show respect to your American subscribers the way you do. It's hard to explain American Patriotism really...it's deeply layered in pain, loss and triumph. Hats of to you Cousins across the pond may our connection never cease on meaning , value and respect for each other.
I explain it that I understand the sacrifices that were made by those that came first. They were amazing men among men. So strong with wisdom and God with them. The amount of gratitude I have for them is immeasurable. Add to that the sacrifices of all who have fought for us all. There can be no forgetting or discounting that. Thank God for this great gift 🇺🇸 long may it wave 🙏🇺🇸❤️
Wow! Tina, you really explained things very well: I felt that deep in my soul. I would do almost anything for my Country, my internal patriotism goes deep as does my history. One of my descendants came over on the Mayflower. My family is American, but I have English roots obviously. I'm so proud that we've kept these inseparable links towards the United Kingdom. We have together vanquished Nazi Germany twice and will prevail against the Adolph Putin.
As an American who sometimes get teared up hearing the National Anthem, the one that always gets me was when the Canadians sang it at a hockey game when the mic had technical difficulties. Maple Leaves/Predator game.
Watching the tears rolling down the coaches face made my waterworks start. I can't imagine all of the emotions going through those players and coaches just knowing that they'd made it to the pinnacle of their sport, and top it off with the singing of the anthem like that, it's no wonder the whole stadium wasn't crying like babies. Just beautiful! I usually prefer it sung traditionally, and you just can't beat Whitney's version if you appreciate the tradition. I hate it when people add runs to it or try to modernize it and make it sound new and hip. It is so steeped in our history that singing it any other way than it was originally composed always seems almost sacrilegious to me. But even though this was not sung traditionally, it was very close, and boy was it something special. He certainly made this Merican proud.
Chris has lots of blues influence which is very soulful. Players and coaches were already emotional because it's the SB which is the dream of so many people to perform at. Adding an emotional national anthem on top of that probably made it tough to hold back tears
You should definitely do Tennessee Whiskey as well as many other Chris Stapleton songs. The live versions are the best. His wife Morgane sings with him and she also has an amazing voice!
Millie is such an American girl at heart! I love this rendition of our National Anthem. Long time watcher, first time commenter. Love y’all’s videos. From Memphis, Tennessee!
It is an excellent rendition. Chris was fantastic and between Philadelphia's coach and Millie crying, I teared up a bit too. Kind of flattering that people from other countries can still appreciate our fairly unique anthem.
Thank you for this! This is one of my favorites for sure. The texture in his voice. The grit...it makes me feel the sacrifice men and women have given for this country. In peace and in war, the members of the military, all of them who do their duty, are the reasons why we are free.
My third viewing of reactors watching this video today and I've cried each time. As a veteran I cannot sing the song without breaking up and I get teary eyes every time I hear it no matter how many thousands of times I have already heard it. I think even more telling is that as a kid growing up I could hardly make it through the song without getting watery eyes.
The guy that was shedding a tear was Nick Sirianni. He's the Eagles head coach and a fiery, emotional guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. No surprise seeing him get choked up
I come from a military family who has had members serving in every war since the American Revolution. Retired as a firefighter myself and the anthem gets me every time. He is awesome and I love his voice.
Chris Stapleton is awesome! Everything he sings is good. Millie should definitely react to him! Chris is best live. Aside from Tennessee Whisky, try “I was wrong” at Austin City Limits, or “cold” at the CMA awards.
Best rendition of all time without question. No one has put as much heart into our National Anthem than Chris Stapleton. His heart reached up to God and brought Him down for a visit.
I remember when we were a beacon of hope for the world. Defending those who cant defend for themselves. Somewhere we lost our way. This is a reminder we can turn things around. To love each other in both crisis and in peace.
Angela, very well said. I was in Anbar for two tours. I can’t even finish the National Anthem before choking up. I volunteered. I’m a knucklehead. My female friends help me through the National Anthem.
Cry every time I hear our National Anthem .........this was the best rendition ever. From the soul! No need for flash and dancers. Love this man's voice. Thank you for your comments. You 2 are absolutely adorable!😘🤩
Please react to more from Chris. He’s incredible. I’m not very patriotic, however, Chris could bring you to tears singing the phone book. He is pure emotion and soul 🖤
@@ericcollins2743 See. That word has been twisted so I don’t know if you’re saying that in a positive or negative manner. If you mean it derogatorily then that’s ridiculous and you likely aren’t able to have your own thoughts or ideas to shape your world view. I’m not patriotic because I know how this country was founded, and I also see with my own eyes the many, many ways this country is failing it’s people. So excuse me if I don’t feel very proud. It doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate what we do have, but I’m not ignorant or naïve about what happens here.
As a marine combat vet . He nailed it. It put a huge lump in my throat. I cried. Whightney Houston. I loved her anthem so much was equally as good. Hers brought my heart up put a smile on my face. Crisses anthem is in perolouse times of our nation. Our nation isn't doing well. It's frankly split. And at another perolouse strife. For your countries sake . Zealand. All our brother and sister nations. Pray for America..not a joke.what you may think or see of our nation at the moment on media isn't so much the truth.
I absolutely love your reactions. Especially to things that involve the US military or states in general. We sometimes forget, or take for granted where we are. I know and love many other countries, but this will always be home. Thank you
These 2 show more respect for our flag and anthem than half our own country does. She was shedding tears watching Chris sing a song literally about America withstanding a British naval bombardment. Very cool to see, much respect and appreciation to you 2.
Right now America has lost its ways but we will be back bigger and stronger. Thank you guys. It blows my mind how the world looks to us as the beacon of hope. Without America this world will collapse.
Try these from Chris. *Death Row *Either Way *Broken Halos *Daddy doesn't Pray anymore *Sometimes I Cry *What are you Listening to *He and Justin Timberlake at the CMA Awards. It's about eight minutes long. Enjoy!
From now on every game from little league to majors ,football, baseball, basketball or whatever should play this recording before every game. 'MERICA !!!
This touched my heart like you wouldn't believe, thank you for sharing. One of the best sung versions of it I had tears in my eyes. God bless America and all who still believe in God and the meaning of Our flag. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏼🤗
Stapleton had the best live National Anthem ever. Whitney Houston prerecorded it a studio and lip synced it when she did it. Even the band was finger syncing.
You aren't American if you don't get a big lump in the throat whenever u hear the anthem Sang. I may be a retired u.s. combat marine. It means the world to me but it did as a kid as well. I was taught it's history and our history as a nation when I was a kid. All Americans should know our history. brittians got several cubs that came out of her that are nations now. Canada Australia New Zealand all I visited as a u.s. marine. One cub that left the Homeland became the world's superpower but it cost us alot . We still are faithful to mama bear. Brittian. Don't think that relationship can ever be broken.
As a general rule, I do not like when artists alter traditional songs, like America, the beautiful or the Star-Spangled Banner with “artistic creativity.” However, in this rare exception, i am good with it. Chris Stapleton produce the best rendition of the national anthem I ever heard.
It's not the Star Spangled Banner but if you want to react to something incredible, I suggest you react to Kate Smith's "God Bless America". Smith was a radio star in the 1930s and 40s and was known for this song. When her popularity waned and she went into semi-retirement, the Philadelphia Flyers, seeing malaise at their games when the Star Spangled Banner was played before their home games --- fatigue from the Vietnam War, which the American people wanted to end --- played "God Bless America". The crowd reaction was positive AND the Flyers won the game. The team decided to play the song only on special occasions. Well, The Flyers' home record when they played Kate Smith's "God Bless America" was incredible, winning 36 games, losing 3 and tying 1. In May, 1974, The Flyers were in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins. The Flyers were an expansion team, the 7th year into their existence. The Bruins were an Original 6 team in the NHL and were a powerhouse and heavily favored to win this series. But the Flyers were leading the series, 3 game to 2. Game 6 was on a Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. Unbeknownst to the players or the fans, the Flyers management brought Kate Smith to The Spectrum to perform "God Bless America" in person. When she walked onto the red carpet and proceeded to the microphone, the ovation was like nothing you could imagine. It was so loud, the roof almost blew off. It took her a couple of minutes to get to the microphone. Then she let the song rip and again...at the end another roaring ovation. Members of the Bruins, superstitious themselves skated over to shake her hand, trying to jinx her. It was to no avail. The Flyers beat the Bruins that afternoon, 1-0, to become the first expansion team to win The Stanley Cup. The crowd reaction after the game is nuts, and throughout the game, the TV broadcast would occasionally show Kate Smith, in the owners box, shouting at the referees, or cheering the Flyers. Kate Smith was their good luck charm and she embraced it. As she was dying the Flyer sent her a huge get well card that the fans signed. They even put up a statue outside The Spectrum in her honor, taking it down a couple of years ago because the woke culture was upset about a song she sang in the 1930s that was deemed racist. The video of this performance is quite powerful and now that you know the back story, I suggest you give it a reaction.
I'm an American and I get emotional every time I hear the national anthem. Even more now than ever. Chris Stapleton did probably one of the best renditions. Please pray for the United States. We need it now more than ever
Amen!!!
Amen
Yes he did. Don't forget about girl Whitney though.
Amen to that. God save our country
I'm American as well, you took my words, please pray for the American Republic, it's a very dark time in our country.

God bless ❤️
It was also very respectful that they didn't stop the song in the middle.

Maple Leaves/Predator game.
I saw that, and it was amazing! Love our Canadian neighbors!❤
Very, very classy of them!❤ 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
I saw that game. That was amazing ❤
Thanks guys that was great and Millie you are adorable. Please stay the way you two are. God bless keep safe.
Chris singing that never gets old. Even after 30 or 40 times hearing it I still get goosebumps.
You two are adorable, sending love from the USA 🇺🇸 ❤
You really need to listen to Chris Stapleton. He is amazing.
As a military vet's wife, I hold back tears! This was amazing!
Watching the tears rolling down the coaches face made my waterworks start. Aren't they adorable!

Thank you sweetheart. We all were either crying or fighting to hold em back. Our country needed that moment.
I’m 60 years old and this is the best version I’ve ever heard.
Millie is such an American girl at heart! I love this rendition of our National Anthem. Long time watcher, first time commenter. Love y’all’s videos. From Memphis, Tennessee!
PURE SOUL. Love it. Thank you.
The goosebumps you get when you listen to it with your eyes closed and just take it all in.
Chris is from my part of Eastern Kentucky. He is great signer plus he does a lot for our community most don't know about
It is an excellent rendition. Chris was fantastic and between Philadelphia's coach and Millie crying, I teared up a bit too. Kind of flattering that people from other countries can still appreciate our fairly unique anthem.
This is the only version of the Anthem that I have ever cried over. Many have given me goose bumps. But this one version reached into my soul.
Thank you for this! This is one of my favorites for sure. The texture in his voice. The grit...it makes me feel the sacrifice men and women have given for this country. In peace and in war, the members of the military, all of them who do their duty, are the reasons why we are free.

Wow! He could sing the alphabet and make me cry!
When I was younger, my father lived in Watlington, Oxfordshire. He used to invite all his friends to his house to celebrate July 4th :D
Well done !
This is Awesome!❤️🤍💙 Also, an All WOMEN Fly Over (Girl Power, baby!!) & our Chiefs won SB LVII!!❤️💛
Love Chris and his Singing!!

Thank you so much for you appreciation of our beautiful anthem. It touches me like this always. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just a man and his guitar. Beautiful.
I come from a military family who has had members serving in every war since the American Revolution. Retired as a firefighter myself and the anthem gets me every time. He is awesome and I love his voice.

Chris Stapleton and Whitney Houston are my favorite renditions.! Definitely do Tennessee Whiskey if you haven't yet.
Chris Stapleton is awesome! Everything he sings is good. Millie should definitely react to him! Chris is best live. Aside from Tennessee Whisky, try “I was wrong” at Austin City Limits, or “cold” at the CMA awards.

The best ever !! Kentucky proud ! Awesome Chris

Please react to more from Chris. He’s incredible. I’m not very patriotic, however, Chris could bring you to tears singing the phone book. He is pure emotion and soul 🖤
You’re woke that’s why

That was the head coach of the Eagles that was standing there crying!!!!!!🇺🇸
Everyone I know knows someone who has died for that flag. My 2 sons are in the Army, I’m an old Marine. We have family all the way to the revolution.
Thank you and your son for your service Sir
Thank you, you guys are awesome!!
Lovely reaction! Chris is brilliant. Do do "Tennessee Whiskey". The live version is great. All the best.
Scary part is that he doesn't even look like he's trying. Amazing. And it's ok, I get a little misty eyed when I hear it, too.
Don't worry Millie you weren't the only one just crying
Millie deserves to hear Tennessee Whiskey...great reaction....Thank God for all our selfless military for protecting us
I'm a Canadian and this hits me in the feelings.
Awe sweetheart, Bless your little heart ♥ 🇺🇲

Chris Stapleton is a "Staple" of the US!!!!! A True blue American for sure!!!
I would love to see Millie checking out Tennessee Wiskey
There is nobody who wants to win this game more than the coaches. They know what they have put these men through to get to this point.
Again, Millie, your such a sweetie. You get it. We love you and everyone there, that you can feel safe. Can't wait till you visit. I'm in NY 😊
I absolutely love your reactions. Especially to things that involve the US military or states in general. We sometimes forget, or take for granted where we are. I know and love many other countries, but this will always be home. Thank you
Chris Stapleton brings the soul to country.
He's spectacular omg

Me too girl, I cry every time

Chris Stapleton sang a very good rendition, but I think nothing can beat Whitney Houston’s rendition in Miami during Desert Storm! Both are great. ❤
You should do a reaction to the song teddy bear by red sovine.
i woke up and i am in church... this was another level.
Praying for you America God loves this nation 😊
Right now America has lost its ways but we will be back bigger and stronger. Thank you guys. It blows my mind how the world looks to us as the beacon of hope. Without America this world will collapse.
There's a few songs of his that just hits like nothing else. Check out Fire away.
When the national anthem hits you in your feels.. you’re a true Patriot. 😢
I love watching British reactions to our anthem because it's all about the night we were under attack by them and prevailed. God bless the USA! 🇺🇸
It’s my national anthem dude 😂of course it’s cool .if it weren’t for the brave we would not be free anyway GREAT reaction
And this is why were allies now, much respect
Thank you for reminding us Americans what was sacrificed for our freedom….”freedom is not free”

That boy has soul.
America does have probably the best National Anthem and I say this as a Canadian.
Check out the song "Cry" at the Bing theater. Love your guys vibe
I think of him as a soul/blues singer rather than country. Can’t go wrong.
Chris Stapleton - Fire Away (official music video)
He is a national treasure
Millie definitely needs to hear Tennessee Whiskey
