Isn't it true that technically the emperor almost getting killed by an ork at ulanor hasn't been retconned yet? Technically the orks have been the closest to killing big e more than anyone but the chaos gods, lmao
One thing I love about Orks is how they see Daemon's appearing on the ship during Warp Travel as "In flight entertainment" rather than a horrific catastrophe
Not to mention unlike humans and other sapients who typically provide the sort of reactions that most daemons are expecting for personal validation aka clawing their eyes out and screaming in terror knowing their souls are about to be murder-raped, the ork mind just doesn't give a shit about the finer arcane details of the universe and is so determined to fight everything that deamons (aside from ones associated with khorne) are just weirded out about by their joyful casually violent demeanor and learn to leave ork ships alone even if they don't have gellar fields. 😂
One of my favourite was actually a brilliant Ork called General Taktikus Basically the orks, under the brilliant (for an ork) “General” Taktikus (who mysteriously acquired some Schola progenum commander school texts, even more mysteriously managed to read them, liked them, and structured several parts of his WAAAGH as a facsimile of the imperial guard) proved far more tactically and strategically competent then the imperial stereotype and the calls for reinforcements had not gotten passed along the administratum yet so while the imperial forces can hold ground or make some minor and temporary gains they don’t have the forces to perform a decisive offensive against the Orks. General Taktikus was fighting a human general called Phyrrus but both sides were locked in stalemate. After over a decade of this stalemate the warring sides are interrupted by a tyranid hive fleet that outnumbers both forces arriving to consume the planet. Knowing that there is no way in hell his forces can fend off both the orks and the nids Phyrrus reluctantly attempts to arrange a ceasefire with the orks. Knowing he’ll lose the planet if the nids win Taktikus agrees and even offers his own forces to aid the imperium, who is facing the brunt of the nids and quoting lines from his reading material about a soldiers duty to protect the civilians. Thus a large number of orks are sent to “reinforce” a rearguard while civilians are evacuated from a falling city. There’s even one scene where an ork nob risks his live to pull a human child from a Building and get him to safety before trying to Fight the genestealer attempting to kill them both in the meanwhile. The final battle involves hordes of killa kanz and deff dreads serving as line breakers for imperial heavy weapon squads, tank divisions, and tankbustas to get a clear shot at decapitating the hive fleet by killing a hive tyrant/swarmlord. Unfortunately for Phyrrus at this moment Taktikus made his move by pulling a sudden assault on the imperial flanks with his mechanized reserves and several of his elite infantry, capturing or killing Phyrrus, his entire command staff and capturing most of the remaining supplies and defendable positions from the bulk of the remaining imperial forces, who are doomed to futile guerilla raids as the orks mop up their broken foe. Following a little heart to heart Taktikus, who is genuinely surprised by how well his blitzkrieg worked and having defeated both the nids and humans, regrettably informs Phyrrus he must do his duty and gives the human a full Court Marshall for breaking imperial law by consorting with xenos that results in the General being executed for high treason and probably heresy on the order of the victorious orks. The dialogue: To his astonishment, Taktikus looked almost sheepish, like a vast child caught red-handed in an act of minor theft. ‘Well, I betrayed you, of course. The charge, with the tanks. It was… you know… a trick. We held back and… we got you.’ There was an awkward silence, and the xenos grumbled, before continuing. ‘You didn’t think…?’ ‘No,’ said Nestor, trying to hide the lie. ‘I had… planned the same.’ ‘It was an excellont campaign, still.’ ‘It was an excellent campaign, yes, Taktikus.’ ‘I suppose the lesson,’ said Taktikus, with a faint glumness, ‘is something about knowing your enemy? Hmm. Reminds me…’ ‘Colonel Phocus,’ said Taktikus, with an odd air of ceremonial solemnity. ‘Please tell the general the big Imperial rule about negotiating with xenos?’ ‘Don’t,’ mumbled Phocus through broken teeth, and spat blood on the ground. ‘Good,’ said the alien, nodding, and handed the man Nestor’s sabre. ‘Now, teach the general his lesson.’
Absolutely love Tuska. The imperium literally saw him approach cadia and freaked out but then his fleet just zoomed right past them and the imperium was just more confused by orcs than usual
Snagrod the arch-arsonist is another notable warboss. He wiped out about 80-90% of the crimson fist chapter on their own homeworld, defeating them with not only superior numbers, but ambushes, and superior tactics as well.
To be fair, most of that damage was done by a technical glitch. And he definitely didn’t have superior tactics. But he did manage to stand against Pedro Kantor, arguably one of the greatest space marines out there
Honestly, what I think the orcs are missing most are monster units. I distinctly remember seeing squigoths in the Dawn of War games and there's plenty of other war squigs on the lore, but there aren't any on table top. I suppose there's also some artillery pieces in lore and older additions, but I'm OK with out them. Giant stompy monsters with shooters on their back matches the orc play stile more than big long range shooters.
10:41 Did you know that The Beast is actually shorter than the Krorks from the War in Heaven? In short, he would be compared as The Raditz to the Krorks if they met him.
I always imagined that if GW were to make a war in heaven game Krorks and avatar's of kain would be infantry model sized. Kinda like a Battle Tech type situation with tiny modes representing giant monsters. And I think it'd go a long way to help with the whole avatar of kain warf effect. Like sure you could beat this one giant monster, but it's a rank and file infantry unit that's meant to fight alongside of armies just like it.
Either that or they become better/the best for fighting demons. Aside from the shooting skill, they'd probably be better than Grey Knights just because his WAAAAGH does it on a literal daily basis
I knew Ufthak Blackhawk, Gargantkilla would be on the list. He also stole a free booter kaptain's dakkajet then crashed it into a titan sized daemon engine and knocked it into a volcano, destroying it. He also managed to grow so big over the battle that when they got to looting off of the admech they found either Inceptor or Centurion armour(The books says it's both so I'm not 100% sure) and his mekboy managed to modify it so he could fit in it, as he was slightly too big for it now. So there's an Ork bigunn in Centurion armour that has a proficiency in killing titan sized war machines. I highly recommend Brutal Kunnin to any Ork fan :))
TTS Magnus the Red: "Oh wow, Ullanor. It seems that the Orks spores weren't thoroughly disposed of. It really proves that the Ork genomes can survive anything. Including emissions from atrociously toxic family reunions that not even Vulkan can regenerate from those!"
I love this sentiment, but the orks would through enough repitition become demoralized and lose their luster for battle. Either they keep winning and the fight loses its flavor, or they keep losing and regress into lesser beings. It's like the twilight zone episode where the man thinks he's in heaven because he keeps winning at gambling, but in reality his constant winning loses all of its charm, and he's miserable. It's then revealed he's in hell.
@@sealteamtwix I am Gork and Mork's most powerful enjoyer. Allow me to explain. It's literally the lore that when Orks don't have a good fight they grow lethargic, dumber, weaker. If they got so good at killing the demons that they run through them with no effort they get no joy. They will begin to lose their mojo and depart the battle. If the battle is so hard that they have no chance of winning, they will grow demoralized and leave the battlefield. Orks LOVE a GOOD fight. In a good fight where they are consistently tested with equal or better adversaries is the warm middle ground that bears powerful orks. A strong opponent in real space is different, because if the opposition is strong enough the WAAAGH will call all orks from every corner of the galaxy to join in to make the fight gooder. Tuska and his boyz are stuck in a place with no reinforcements, doomed to lose forever and ever. The fighting is good for now, but it won't be forever. My theory as for why Ghaz is stirring up so much shit around the Great Rift is probably due to him having a direct connection with Gork and Mork. In his quest to further unify with his Gods in spirit, he will hear about the crazy bastards in Khorne's realm and bust them out to help in his hunt for Angron. I think Tuska will be very relevant in 10th or even 11th edition.
Awwww, you didn't mention Gorgutz! Easily my favourite Dawn of War character, funny as hell, and probably one of the few Orks in the galaxy who knows the value of a tactical retreat.
Space marines, gray knights, primarchs, traitor marines, and sometimes custodies and titans all fall into the greater space marine category. If you're confused on weather or not something is a space marine ask yourself these 2 questions: 1 "Does it have pauldruns so big they can crush the wearer's head if they Tpose?" and 2 "Is it the only thing that matters in the lore to the point that it overshadows every thing else in the setting?" If the answer is yes to both, than it is a space marine.
Some honorable mentions: Old Zoggwort and some of the other Ork warp heads. Mostly Weird boy brains explode before they get a handle on it, but the ones that do master the WAAGHH are pretty damn powerful.
MajorKill I only started watching and subscribed to you probably only a month ago and since then I've been binge watching your videos. I love how funny and interesting you make your videos and I hope you keep making such great content . From one Australian to another I'll gladly buy you a beer 🍻
Welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I found the channel, definitely was a fun time bingeing through and finding a bunch of new cool topics. And there are even more now!
Huh no mention of Orkimeddes who is Ghaz's main tech guy and invented the Telly Porta tech and Subz. Also no matter the Ork all of them respect Old Bale Eye who Majorkill should dedicate a model to the late Commissar Yarrick.
They came up with a great name, connect him to Ghaz, involve him in one of the legendary battles of the lore, and then do nothing at all with the character. The way Ork fans love to improve their vehicles and gear you'd think Games Workshop would want to give the mad inventor a little love.
Im gonna level with you. I dont play WH40k Tabletop, never have never will. But your videos are too fucking good. Now i have an extreme amount of lore knowledge that i have literally 0 use for.
there also a painboy name Mad Dok Grotsnik. who performed the surgery Ghazghkull skull. gaining Ghazghkull the chance to become Gork and Mork prophet. I also hear somewhere he was making his own "Primaris orks". He also use to have a model. but you buy it anymore.
Hey Majorkill, If anyone can do it, it's you. After seeing all the amazing major minis there is one that I think deserves your special treatment. I'm talking about noise marines! GW has given them the shaft for years and I think major minis would have a fun time with some punk rock noise mines!!! Keep on rocking mate!! And well done on the Ork Demon slayer!!
an orc warboss impressing khorne so much that he literally favors a being that can't and doesn't praise khorne is fucking amazing. i want more orc lore like this to be forefront.
Idk why he didn't mention it, but to highlight the size of the beast, when the imperial fists attacked an ork camp with what they thought was a 10 meter tall statue of an ork in elaborate armour. The fists were confident about their attack until the statue turned around and they realised it wasn't a statue it was a giant ork in bad ass armour. Although that's still supposed to be smaller than most krork from the War in Heaven era
Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub fought the Tau in what was known as "The War of Dakka." At the time, it was said he had Mega Armor comparable to Ghazghkull before Ghaz got his head cut off.
Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub is, and shall always be, my favorite of the Ork Warbosses. The greatest strategic genius that the Orks have had in modern times. He out maneuvered, and out generaled Space Marine Chapter Masters. He was overshadowed by Gaz, but even Gaz respected his abilities. Broke my heart when they wrote him out of the Codex. I'm guessing because GW couldn't stand to have anyone out there a better general than their beloved Space Marines.
Gorgutz would be a great model with how he’s made multiple waggghs and has been able to get away from multiple near death experiences there’s also Kaptin bluddflagg was hilarious when I played retribution
Wazdakka Gutsmek was actually playable in 2nd Edition although he never got a model - I made a converted one just because he was batshit crazy - his bike had two autocannons like a regular bike, but also had a battle cannon above his head - yes, you read that correctly - as in the big gun off a Leman Russ, on an Ork Bike.
My picks for orks that need a tabletop counterpart Obviously we need Tuska, he is simply the orkiest ork to be around, and would give some synergy with daemons. Da Vulture would be nice, as one of the first Aircraft HQs. Also, I like his vibe. Very orky. If anybody hated the hero of Scalex VI, the speediest git, I'm sorry but you just hate fun. Gorgutz. If we can get Blood Ravens as canon we can have Gorgutz. Ol' Arch arsonist would be nice, a new warboss that isn't Grukk. I would like a Speed Freeks Character, so it's between Lockjaw, Big Pyro, and Drokk da Rokkit. My money's on Drokk.
My favourite Ork is always going to be my beloved boss Gorgutz 'Eadhunta. His sense of humour was on point and more scathing than usual in his species. The git was especially smart for an Ork, in thst knew the value of retreat, because an Ork can't fight if they're dead, shocking revelation I know. Plus, as he said to that one nob, collecting heads is much koola than feet on his pointy stiks.
My dyslexic ass misread the title in the thumbnail as “Orks that make tabletop minis” and assumed this was gonna involve an obscure Ork clan that played “WAAAAGHammer”.
Finally someone talks about the two instances of Orkz taking down titans. I felt crazy when people only talk about the most recent one in Brutal Kunnin that it made me doubt the Wazdakka's even happened.
Hello Majorkill, Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Not really fit for tabletop play but Da Red Nob is the greatest Danika-Fighta pilot ever. Flys in an open cockpit with a silk scarf flapping behind him - somehow even in the void of space.
Majorkill, cover the Mandrakes already. They're the only eldar faction that is arguably spookier and downright lovecraftian compared to even the Drukari. Everyone, up vote if you agree.
Honestly Tuska is probably my favorite ork leader he and his boys loved killing chaos so much that Khorne was happy to oblige and had them constantly reincarnate every day in the brass citadel just to kill demons….Tuska what a chad.
When I got the cash I'm definitely getting that model of Tuska the Deamon Killa. I'm more or less late to the party when it comes to 40k lore from a couple of years back, but my favorite faction hands down is Orks. I even got a can holder that is an Ork Skull. Even with a spacer I can take out for monster enery drink cans or put back in for a regular soda can.
Also let's not forget the most recent addition to the legendary ork pantheon, Gargaz Teefgrabba. My guy killed off a whole genestealer cult, as well as killing many space marines, tempestus scions, guardsmen, a FUCKING KNIGHT, and eventually killing his own Warboss and his stompa. All of that... Just to get his Hair Squig back, because his Warboss stole it from him.
Time to post the obligatory title of Lord Horrik Canorem Son of High King Valorik Canorem, High Prince of House Canorem, Master of the Blade of Gaia, Keeper of the Gates of Loralo, Wielder of the Kaloric Flame, Bringer of Hope, Herald of the Holy Order of the Adamantine Lance, The Paladin of Koto, Slayer of the Lion of Essa, The Triumphant!
I bet GW has a non-commissioned “Krok” mini in their garage they only use to pull shenanigans like “War of the Beast” campaign and a potential “Heist of Trazyn’s Vault”, etc.
He might not be the greatest but he’s probably one of the most famous Warboss cause he would always escape to fight again Gorgutz Ead Unter. If the blood ravens have what could be called an Ork enemy it would be Gorgutz having fought them in the Kronos campaign, The Kaurava campaign and finally the Acheron Campaign. He might not be as big and as tough as Gazghul but he’s super clever which has to be how he’s been able to live this long given the amount if times he’s been defeated
Orks intercepting a ship carrying a bunch of people kidnapped to be tortured by daemonettes and just using them as slaves (thus cockblocking slaanesh) is such a funny seen in my head
Wot about Nazdreg? He was brilliant for teleport technology, plus he managed to steal an imperial ship to get off the world of Medusa V, tricking the Imperium at the same time.
@majorkill video idea: make a video about the crossovers wh fantasy and wh 40k have had. In reality i just want to hear about the skaven prank calling the eldar and draigo showing up at the end times
I think void shields really only stop big lasers and ammo. Things like infantry and vehicles seem to pass by when the lore needs it to lol. In one of the siege of terra books and squad of imperial fists landed on the back of a traitor titan and started fucking up its void shield generators
Perhaps it has to do with the speed of the object. Void shields are like soap bubbles, if you penetrate one with something small enough, slow enough, you could pass by with minor inconvenience.
@@IsmaelSantos-iy4xi possibly. In “Lost and Damned” a titan extended it’s void shield to protect some guardsmen and the experience was described as terrifying if I remember right. There’s also types of missiles that can pass into the warp for a quick moment to bypass void shields all together. I think that’s more how those 2 orks did it.
Tuska and his WAAAGH are basically Khornes directed nukes, Tuska and his boyz are still and always will be for Gork or Mork, Khorne can just portal his favorite feedback loop Orks into a foight the moment he wants to, now Tuska and his WAAAGH have the only happy ending in the lore
While I don't feel that there are enough. There are more ork characters with minis then just 3. I know that is not the point of the episode, but one quick trip to wahapedia does show that there are other awesome characters with minis around, like Snikrot, Kaptin Badrukk and the Red Gobbo. The Red Gobbo would be a rad episode though!
On slightly different note, I would sugest that mek and weirdboy (I do not know their names) who managed to use eldar seer as a battery during war of the beast.
Majorkill slandering Messinius at 0:14, I cannot accept it. I loved his character in Dawn of Fire and I even have his Joytoy action figure on a table next to me.

Painting orks is fun, its rewarding to layer paints to get muscle definition and their faces are way more interesting than a space marine helmet
I am happy to say Ufthak now has his own model
Im gonna level with you. I dont play WH40k Tabletop, never have never will. But your videos are too fucking good. Now i have an extreme amount of lore knowledge that i have literally 0 use for.
there also a painboy name Mad Dok Grotsnik. who performed the surgery Ghazghkull skull. gaining Ghazghkull the chance to become Gork and Mork prophet. I also hear somewhere he was making his own "Primaris orks". He also use to have a model. but you buy it anymore.
Would be nice to have a mekboy model for Orkimedes.
I kitbashed a better version of him recently using the painboss and some other bits
Hey Majorkill,
If anyone can do it, it's you. After seeing all the amazing major minis there is one that I think deserves your special treatment. I'm talking about noise marines! GW has given them the shaft for years and I think major minis would have a fun time with some punk rock noise mines!!! Keep on rocking mate!! And well done on the Ork Demon slayer!!
this right here would be fucking nice man. just picked up a noise marine off ebay and think a majorkill flared up one would be sick az
@@HoraceKock hell yeah man! @Majorkill would be able to bring these beloved models back to life!! He has my order right now for a few units!
an orc warboss impressing khorne so much that he literally favors a being that can't and doesn't praise khorne is fucking amazing. i want more orc lore like this to be forefront.
I haven't watched the video yet but if Tuska isn't on here there's gonna be a riot
"Ork players are the coolest people"
YOOS MAKIN' ME BLUSH GREEN 'UMMIE!
Pirate Orks or the Feral Orks need more love
Kaptain Bluddflagg pls.
Do a video on the methods each primarch used to bring worlds into compliance during the crusade.
Awesome video. Would love to see Gorgutz on tabletop, he's a clever ork.
Gorgutz would be a great model with how he’s made multiple waggghs and has been able to get away from multiple near death experiences there’s also Kaptin bluddflagg was hilarious when I played retribution
The fact tuska punched through cadia just to get to the eye just to kill more demons is absolutely bat shit insane. Love it
Wazdakka Gutsmek was actually playable in 2nd Edition although he never got a model - I made a converted one just because he was batshit crazy - his bike had two autocannons like a regular bike, but also had a battle cannon above his head - yes, you read that correctly - as in the big gun off a Leman Russ, on an Ork Bike.
ork army might be next after my custodes addiction stops. such a cool faction lore wise and i keep seeing hella nice kitbashes for them.
On the topic of orkz, why not a video dedicated to one of the most beloved Warlords, Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter?
Video idea each primarchs reaction to chaos and demons
Orks are great, literally the only race that could have absurdly crazy plot armour and it actually make sense
What?
Ultrasmurfs and the Imperium have a pathetic crazy plot armour wtf u talking about
My picks for orks that need a tabletop counterpart
Obviously we need Tuska, he is simply the orkiest ork to be around, and would give some synergy with daemons.
Would be a wild event if the Krok from Trayzn Museum and those Kroks should be named a civil war between it and Ghazskull
Then the Kroks cause the freedom of the Eldari psyker and Clonegrim.
I think I was never happier to see a majorkill upload. Needed it today, thx m8!
Majorkill, have you seen the WAH car commercial? First car advertisement that tempted me to actually buy it...
I was thinking the same thing. Someone at Hyundai must love orks haha
The slow blade pieces the shield. Or something like that, infantry and vehicles usually pass through void shields.
Majorkill vids just hit different! thanks for the awesome content bro
Finally someone talks about the two instances of Orkz taking down titans. I felt crazy when people only talk about the most recent one in Brutal Kunnin that it made me doubt the Wazdakka's even happened.
Hello Majorkill,
Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Not really fit for tabletop play but Da Red Nob is the greatest Danika-Fighta pilot ever. Flys in an open cockpit with a silk scarf flapping behind him - somehow even in the void of space.
You should make a sharrowkyn video, man didn’t just kill Lucius, he strait up mortal kombat fatalitied him
Majorkill, cover the Mandrakes already.
God brutal kunnin was like the orc version of infinite and divine an amzing and funny af 40k xeno story we need more of him
When I got the cash I'm definitely getting that model of Tuska the Deamon Killa.
I'm more or less late to the party when it comes to 40k lore from a couple of years back, but my favorite faction hands down is Orks.
I even got a can holder that is an Ork Skull. Even with a spacer I can take out for monster enery drink cans or put back in for a regular soda can.
I love that green Ork power armor. Wouldn't that be a proper scrap, a gang of war boyz decked out in the full plate versus a squad of terminators?
Thanks for making my mornings more dope
If he’s canon, then the other factions are done for.
Minis are looking good there Kill. If you ever make some “Space Knights who wear grey and use magic” I’ll be all in
No mention of Nazdreg?? They did my boy dirty...
I bet GW has a non-commissioned “Krok” mini in their garage they only use to pull shenanigans like “War of the Beast” campaign and a potential “Heist of Trazyn’s Vault”, etc.
I wish the weshammer tacticus adverts would do one. Great video majorkill. Going to get myself a ra golden sun model to lead a custodes army
Wazdakka has always been a favorite of mine.
The beast was a present from Trazyn to orkdom and that's where it came from lol
Artefacts/treasures of Vulkan update and speculation on what they could be would be pretty cool ngl.
Finally is urthak
Altho no rules...
Always happy to see more orky content
Doing a video on every time the primarchs fought each other would be cool
Awesome video. The fungus hooligans are high key hilarious
I want a model of Gargaz Teefgrabba from shootas blood and teef
He might not be the greatest but he’s probably one of the most famous Warboss cause he would always escape to fight again
Gorgutz Ead Unter.
Majorkill, how would you imagine the WH40k endtimes? GW would never end 40k, so fan theories are the closest we will ever get
When does it end? 50k? Or when the sun goes supernova?
My favorite theory is that it will be a Norse style all out battle between all of the factions.
More Ork minis please!
Finally an ork video. ORK ORK ORK!
The Orkz 4th edition Codex had so many interesting orks mentioned in it!
We need a theme song for Tuska Daemonkillah, my vote is on “The only thing they fear is WAAAAAAAAUUUGH!!!”
Video idea: top 10 or 5 best stringstorm songs about Warhammer
Tuska and his WAAAGH are basically Khornes directed nukes, Tuska and his boyz are still and always will be for Gork or Mork, Khorne can just portal his favorite feedback loop Orks into a foight the moment he wants to, now Tuska and his WAAAGH have the only happy ending in the lore
Just bought the mini… I hope it will look awesome 🤩
The Ragnarork begins!
Orks? Out of Orctober? I am HERE for it!
"The War of The Beast was weird." - TTS Rogal Dorn
Orks vs chaos, now that is satisfying
I want more Tuska lore even if it's short or if there's a chance of gw doing something with him
Ufthak stole a shokkjump dragsta, basically cuts a hole in the warp and jumps through it
Orcs do need more love, I'm thinking about the various destruction subfactions up in AoS and how that might be translated into 40k.
A video about BloodPact would be great.
10:41. Yeah! That’s my character right there.
On slightly different note, I would sugest that mek and weirdboy (I do not know their names) who managed to use eldar seer as a battery during war of the beast.
lore on imperial navy, ecclesiarchy, and high lords please
0:15 incisus from Tacticus
Gutzmek did have a model back in the 90's
We need Nazdreg back!
Majorkill slandering Messinius at 0:14, I cannot accept it. I loved his character in Dawn of Fire and I even have his Joytoy action figure on a table next to me.
