Nothing but good things to say about these, I recently finished a 650 sq ft large format tile job and these worked out great! I did not use the clear disk, didn't need it, these tighten by hand just fine, no special tool needed to install or remove. One thing I liked about these is you can remove the cap very easily should thinset get into the grout line below them when they are tightened down, remove cap, clean out the gap and tighten the cap down again. removal of the cap with post was easy. I used the 1/8" size posts. kept the caps on and used a rubber mallet to hit them in the direction of the grout line and they broke away fine. out of the 1350 base post's I used I'd say about 25 or so did not break away clean, for those I just clamped on a vise-grip on the piece that was left and tapped it with a hammer and the remaining bit broke free. great product, glad I chose it.
I saw a guy using a mallet to get them off, hit them pretty hard once. Is there any danger of pulling up a tile if you "kick" them too hard. Is there a point you must screw it down, or you'll have a piece of plastic sticking out?
I just used these for our bathroom. First time installing tile, they worked great! Make sure you break them off as directed, in the direction of the grout line and you wont have an issue 👨🦲 waaaaaaaa
I just bought this system I will leave a Biased Honest Opinion on it AFTER I use them for my entire 40 x 20 kitchen floor and I promise I will be brutal but honest.
@@grady1807 yes and the System worked great I had a couple spots where a couple tile had to be reset but that was MY FAULT yup you read right I will admit to my Faults in a heartbeat RUclips be dammed lol I LOVE THIS SYSTEM SO MUCH I BOUGHT AN EXTRA BOX IN CASE I GET A SMALL SIDE JOB OR DECIDE TO DO SOMETHING ELSE IM SURE THESE CAN BE USED FOR MORE THAN TILE, AFTER ALL, I AM ADDING ON TO A SAND RAIL / DUNE BUGGY / STREET-LEGAL RAT ROD OF MY OWN DESIGN AND SINCE I HAVE THIS DAM COVID I GOT PLENTY OF TIME TO WORK THE KINKS OUT AND LEARN ABOUT HOW TO BLEND FIBERGLASS BODY PARTS TOGETHER THE RIGHT WAY ITS A DADDY DAUGHTER PROJECT.
Mine did NOT BREAK off Clean!!! Its such a PITA I will not be using these again!!! I did break them off in the direction of grout line. Maybe the 1/8th ones need to be made so they snap off.
Hey Todd, sorry to hear you had an issue! Can you tell us a little more? Did you remove the red caps before breaking or did you leave them on? How many broke improperly in reference to the amount used? These issues happen so infrequently we would like to make sure we are on top of any issue that may arise. Thanks for the feedback!
More than half, and yes I left red spin tops on them, tight. I used foot first, then a new mallet. Going the direction of the seam, I gave them a solid whack, and it seems like its only snapping the threaded portion of the stem. What I am doing, is using a 1/8” punch and carefully placing it the seam against whats left of the black stem, and tapping it loose then using my electrical linesmen pliers to finish the removal. Its almost as if the tiles are pressed to tight. Maybe I messed up? I did leave at least 1/4” around the perimeter for expansion and removed my perimeter spacers( for expansion).
To bad.. Is a copy of the Ridgid LEVELMAX And home depot stop selling it. But for 4 tiles it's better the Ridgid because have a divided corner so your 4 tiles have same distance each other.
Hello Lu Cho. Thank you for the compliment. However, I need to correct you in the fact that the Ridgid Levelmax is ACTUALLY a copy of our Spin Doctor. Thanks for the support!
@@RTCProducts 😱😱😱 A copy? No worries... it's yours! But like more the ridgid one. Just purchased 800 of them probably the last ones on the market. Then i may try your brand. 😁😁👍. if need some more.
Thomas, can you explain a little more about the problem you were having? There has been some instances where the posts did not break off properly, and we would like to get to the bottom of it.
your opinion is kinda valid but if you do it the right way it comes off pretty good reason I say kinda is I know what your talking about they don't break off the right way and you need to get in there and hope you don't pop or crack a tile in the process of getting it out ;-)

brilliant!
How to remove the spacer posts after the thinset is dry and they refuse to break off. Not a good system.
