For those of you who do a full lawn by sprigging, it will take about 60 days to become a full, thick turf. There's some great journals on The Lawn Forum from different people doing this!
They would more likely coexist and it would be a patchy multi-colored/textured area. Really important you get every atom of common bermuda out, there's no good way to separately handle them once both are present.
Liquid iron lasts 7-14 days so i wouldnt go again 2 days later, you need to find out the max dose by testing a high mix, when it turns a few blades black from over iron cut the mix back by say 50ml per ltr until you get it dark but just before the point of turning black
Perfectly timed video! Just sprigged some CitraZoy from some extra pieces I had laying around from a job. I scalped down part of my existing Empire and spread some sand and manure. Think I’ll have any luck?
Correct, this is why turf farms leave a strip to propagate it and grow it back in. Or they sprig like I will be doing here. You can do this with all couch grass varieties, also kikuyu and zoysia!
Will be pretty much the same to be honest due to water pressure etc. would have to zone out each area and would cost a lot to get sprinklers that size. Sumi is just a simple cheap way to do it 👌🏽
I love the sprigging process. Easily one of the best projects in the lawn I've ever done. Looking forward to watching this, bro!
Hope the weather stays warm for it
Awesome project, thanks for the frequent updates on it.
Just purchased a Sumi from you. Keen to try it out when it’s not windy!
They are great! My little brother uses 3 on the bowling green

I cannot find a Sumi for sale in the US, do you know if they are available?
Is brunnings a good brand for seed?
as for the common couch being present if it were to come back would the tiftuf be more dominant and how would you manage it.

Why didn't you power rake the area first then spray out?
Are you still planning a Zoysia patch? Would love to see it!
Yep! Sure am, prep and irrigation install is soon
Hey mate. Can you put to much iron down. Not in one spray but spray and spray again in two days?
I've sprayed but still want a Darker green. Cheers

Tiftuf doesnt come in seed though right? So you have to do this if trying to get it to take over?

Mate - why not hook up some temp above ground irrigation/pop ups - would cover a bigger area ……excited for the sprigging mate

I was expecting you to have made the assistant do the spraying haha
Missed opportunity 😂
@@LawnTips He was too busy weeding haha
Good luck getting rid of the common 😂 stuff can be sprayed 3 times and still come back
Am I the only person who can barely understand what this guy is saying?
I’m assuming you’re not Australian?
Yes I think so. American?
