Always a good day when there's a Fabziy Vlog in my notifications! You haven't lost your edge at all, still huge production value out of your content, and as always a strong message at the center. Those lads all looked like they were giving thier best, and I have no doubt if they continue to work hard, they'll all pass out with that highly prized green lid. Stay safe and keep teaching our next generation those valuable skills, it's guys like you and Dan who help to keep the high standard the British Army is famous for. I can't wait to see the next one!
29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery pre beat up course was one hell of a course back in the day. Back in the 80's they were often undermanned mainly due to their high standards , they would not let anybody pass their course unless it was highly probable they would pass Lympstone.
Ex 29 here Josh, remember to do your homework and the 7 Ps ....... Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance, I wish you all the luck pal.
I did my 10 years in the gunners when we still had the SLR.the sportsmen like footballers, rugby players boxers and officers off trekking over some mountain got away with guard duties exercises etc etc. The rest of us had to do the soldiering
Aother great video: I see the basics haven't changed that much in 50 years. Map reading in almost featureless terrain for a couple of days, then a night map reading exercise over similar terrain. Changing mags and fixing bayonets upon hearing the words "prepare to assault", then running at the enemy like mad buggers. All good stuff. So many posting on your channel are absolutely correct, Fabziy, you should be I/C recruitment.
And that's the nice bit of Dartmoor....and in good weather! Wait until the mist and rain come in and you've got into the buggy bits! And some say SENTA is bad.....
Fabziy you never fail to disappoint with a video. Nothing but the upmost respect for you. Just wanted to ask what you think about the Russia - Ukraine issue and the china -Taiwan issue, do you think there is the possibility well be involved in any of these if a conflict was to erupt.
This looks like the woods we slept out in under our bashas whilst on the pre beat up at the Citadel in winter '86...bugged out in the middle of the night - happy days!
@@huwowen9722 Nice one mate - yeah Janner "check your pooches" Rippon, real beast master, loved thrashing us around Plymouth on PT sessions, up & down the steps on the Hoe then 10min to get changed & back on parade 👍
They are an Army unit who have passed the AACC and are commando trained. They provide offensive artillery support to 3 Commando Brigade, which the RM are a part of.

I believe it depends on what cap badge you are. Engineers, artillery and logistics all have a commando reg who have to complete the AACC. Outside of that, I believe they will open it up to other cap badges if they have room on the course.
@@John9O0H thanks but i meant if I applied for light gunner with the intention of joining 29 commando is it something i can be sure will happen or is it something you need to get luck with being put on the course?
@@malfea when you go phase 2 (Larkhill) you'll be asked what regiment you want to train for. Para, commando or 4/73 are all units that require slightly different training, mainly additional phys. As long as you complete phase 2 with 29 commando as your priority you'll be invited to attend the pre AACC course (shown on the vid). Pass that and you'll start your all arms. If your going light gunner, 29 is a brilliant unit. Or if you want something different, 4/73 part of 5 reg is another unit that offers something different but you'll have to pass another series of tests, all of which are hard.

No. The Royal Marines need additional capability, apart from Marines. These come from Royal Navy and British Army.
