My favorite hot rod car era is from 1965 to about 1974 with a few exceptions in the 80s and 90s. I had a 1967 Camaro with a 327 and a Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission that I should have never sold. 😁👍

i really enjoy looking at your used car videos, my favorite in this one is the 36 chevy coupe. so back in the mid 60's my brother and i had collected a lot of the things to make a hot rod, we had a 34 ford pick-up body, the front and rear axles from a lincoln zeypher' the straight frame from a stugebaker truck and a 354 hemi from a 54 chrysler new yorker. we never finished our dream car because we both went into the air force and the stuff sat in my parents yard for several years until when i came home on leave onetime and they asked me to get rid of it, which i did and gave it all away. maybe next time.

I actually don't have a favorite era of Hot rod because every era has something I really like about it. The Pre war were the simplicity of them, the post war was the shape and the ingenuinity the car companies came up with, the 60's were the big motors, the 70's was the long sleek style and wild paint job's they would do, the 80's was the lack of flash and the "Modern Muscle" car I love the Retro body style and colors.

As a 75 year old geezer, and owner of a 66 Chevelle drop top, the thousands of street rods i.e. 20’s, thirty’s & fourties will be a tough sell going forward… certainly the younger generations do not have the same affection for these vehicles…or any vehicles …..there are a few that enjoy this sport, bur not enough to support this hobby….the costs ( like everything else ) is prohibitive. The skill set is slowly but surely
going by the wayside….there will always be collectors…..but the market, including 60’s muscle cars
    will definitely bottom out….

@@edmunger5595 Your right about the Flathead but I disagree with people putting the 350/LS because it's cheap or they are lazy and don't want to learn to build other engines, They are just MUCH superior engines to the Flathead Ford, They are easier to work on, cheaper to work on/rebuild. The Flathead Ford is a great engine but compared to SBC 350 they aren't great and certainly aren't cheap. You can go to any junkyard and buy a 350 or LS and 400 5 speed trans for less than a $1000, change the fluids and gaskets and you you got an engine that cranks out 700 HP for $1500, While a Flathead Ford CAN hit 700 HP it costs you 7 grand to get there. If 'm building a period correct Hot Rod than yeah I'll build the flathead but if I not i'm throwing a 350 in it.
