Season one Futurama is just undefeated.
Of course all of the seasons are also great but to me there’s something special about the first season.
A lot shows have that special feel in their first season(s) and thats what I love about going back to the first seasons of animated shows
The later seasons-most notably the comedy central revival-became overly focused on the humor as opposed to overarching narratives that defined the early seasons.
The most interesting thing about this is, that if he never invented the smelloscope, they wouldn't have known about the ball until it was too late to stop it.

The smelloscope might actually be possible if it analyses the gas in the observed area and replicates what the smell would be on the receiving end as smell doesn't travel through space.
I have some understanding of science but am not an expert if someone sees this that is an expert of science or at least has a good understanding of it, lmk if I am right or wrong about this because I am actually curious.
