The Indonesian morelia is k-leather on the forefoot only with calf leather around the rest of the shoe. I guess that might further explain the price difference
Hey, Josh thanks for the video. I'm about to get a pair of these, but the manufacturer code is different to latest version. The code is 12kp-20210 Are these Made In Japan ? This vid is 5yrs old so maybe the one's I'm looking are that old? Whereas on Mizunos website, code begins with PGA... but they're the latest Cheers
I will be ordering the regular Mizuno Morelia ii MD. Do you recommend going down half a size since it will stretch? I wear a Predator 18.1 FG synthetic in a size 11.5 currently. Thank you!
Hey Josh, thanks for sharing your videos, i was wondering ir you could do an on feet video of the mizuno supersonic 3 , also wanna know wich cleat would you say is the more padded one.
josh can i ask you a question? i play football and sometimes play as a wing or a striker. Which boots are good for me since i am very fast at running and have decent shot power. Adidas adizero or predator instinct. appreciate if u would reply
I have watched this review and the review of the Nike Tiempo Ligera 4. I am looking fore at boot fore my 12 year old son. I can get the mizuno non japanese made i white cheaper than the Nike Tiempo. But which is the better boot?
Hey Josh. Just wondering what sizing is like on the Mizuno runbird? I was hoping you might know? I have high arched feet and wear copa mundial size 8 which us perfect once it stretches! thanks and looking forward to hearing from you!
Hey Josh, can you proved an update on these? Is it worth getting the MIJ ones now that you've had more time with them? Is the whole upper Kangaroo leather vice just the forefront? Is it true the apply a special protectant on these that allows the color to stay brighter and cleaner like the pros? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
It's definitely worth t in my opinion. And yeah i wear the white ones on AG and grass and there is no stains its Scotchguard Kangaroo leather so a coating to make water and stain resistant
Been thinking about a pair of Morelias actually, but I've been waiting for the new 11pro, to see how they are. Will you review them anytime soon? Thanks
I am incredibly surprised the tongue was synthetic all the way through on the MIJ version, slightly dissappointed but the quality of the rest of the boot is amazing
HIYOJAYO Standard morelia ii vs king top k vs tiempo vs copa vs speciali...lazzarini with the lack of stitching will over stretch everywhere compared to the list of boots above and will heavily absorb moisture from the foot and any external water(falling rain or wet grass). If you like Lazzarinis look at cinquestelle colibri, essentially the same shoe but lighter far more flexible(if bought directly from the factory: akuna.it) and snug personal fit. Copas are great for anyone. Very welcoming fit. Stretches alot, heavy(as are the lazzarini), bulky, minimal insole, flat insole and stiff sole plate. King top K has exceptional leather quality! especially the vamp. More snug fit than the copa plus it will not over stretch. more responsive feeling upper vs copa.Thinner and lighter aswell. Again the vamp the vamp the vamp! Very soft high quality leather of the perfect thickness. Notably the stitch pattern of the vamp makes for a stand-out and extremely collapsible(plush and soft) vamp area(front portion of shoe/toe box). minimal insole flat insole stiff soleplate. Tiempo V and speciali 4 aka umbro tiempo iv are really good. Watch Josh's review of the relatively light, modern heritage boot in the tiempo legend v. OKAY! Morelia ii MIJ is on a whole different plain from former great but "standard" boots above. OMG! Different level! lightest full bodied heritage boot you can find. even lighter now for 2015! Anatomical, not only snug but it feels like the boot "hold" or "grasp" your foot especially around the heel, very responsive upper, low and stable studs, high friction insole material which grip your sock to prevent slippage, anatomical arch support insole. The best in the world! Ryal Europa and La Storia are the only other boots in the same category(pardon me for stating but yes i have all 3, along with the 1946, which has a low toe box, bulky, really stiff outsole, heavy) The entire La storia upper just collapses on itself, mmm that quality. The europa feels more like a heavier(not too heavy), thicker different verion of the MIJ without the tongue. However, i would recommend Ryal boots for wide footed players(exclusively). They have alot of volume inside of them and run about a 1/4 us size long. The heel ankle area is queit open/wide so slim players stay away, thick ankled players welcomed! All boots fit just about true to length(Europa, La storia and Lazzarini half euro size smaller for skinny footed players(the Ryals are still not recommended as they are high volume shoes, with feet like Josh's and wider stay true to size). Copas go 1/2 US size smaller Hope this helps.
fcbotieno go .5 euro size smaller for Europa, La Storia and lazzarini if you have skinny feet(the Ryals are still not recommended because of the shoe volume, lazzarini simular)* EDIT
fcbotieno does the cinquestlle have an all leather interior or does it have a cloth/synthetic with stictching? I want to know because my feet are wide in the forefoot and I need boots that stretch in the toebox . Thanks in advance
One thing you can do with Morelias is take out the laces & then re-lace them without going through the tongue eyelet. You can then fold the tongue under the laces so it's hidden. In another Morelia vid Josh shows this in the on-feet section.
Hey josh I'm looking to buy these boots and I want to see if I could go half a size down to 8 1/2 so that once the leather stretches I'll have a boot that fits tight but yet is still a soft leather touch with comfort , I'd appreciate your input on that thank you.
Hey Josh, I understand this is completely unrelated but I am desperate for an answer asap. Basically I just bought the Magista Obra's, but it is clear that it will hurt quite a bit when being stepped on, and sometimes I play in defence which puts me in more strong challenges. Is there anything which could pad it slightly? I tried double socks but it felt slightly weird, just wondering if you know anything? Thanks a lot!
I don't want too much I literally just want a slight bit of protection, probably the width of a sock or something. Very small change which won't change performance for me at all as I tried socks on and hitting the ball was fine just felt weird.
Okay fair enough. I actually bought these off a mate and he bought them 2 months ago. I've just looked on the nike website and they're going for £160 now.. Say something were to go wrong, would I get the £230 that was paid first of do I get the price now? Do you or anyone know?
EKHarrison4 i just got magista's and i have to send them back as the heel on my right foot has an issue there is something hard stuck in it and within 15 mins of playing it cut my heel
that's very bad. unless you're still growing and will get taller and your feet will get bigger. you really shouldnt have any space there, but if it's there because you needed to go up some sizes to fit your foot there, then you should probably look at something else. extra space is never a good thing
Cristian Melgar I personally wear all of my shoes with no space at the end at all, but at the end of the day, it's all about comfort. Some people prefer a little extra room, while others, like myself, prefer no space at all. If you're not having any issues with your shoes feeling to big, or your foot sliding around in the shoe, than I wouldn't worry about it.
Hey Josh, I'm wearing 28.5 cm for my basara KL 001. I feel i should have gone a step down, but the boot still works great. Going on this basis, what size should i get for these morelia 2s?
Thanks so much for the extremely swift reply. one more question, hope im not bothering you too much. I bought a pair of morelia neos one whole size too large. The length is a problem but width wise its snug. Will the width be wayy too narrow for me if I went down 1 size?
Hi Josh, I had a look at Mizuno Japan's website and they say that you can use Morelia 2 for Natural Grass, Hard Ground (Dirt) and Artificial Grass. What do you think about this? Do you think the shoe is safe for AG playing surface? I play 50/50 on FG & AG grounds
Benji Fricke It looks pretty good, but its difficult to say until I have them in my hands and have had an opportunity to wear them myself. Its pretty tough to make a bad kangaroo leather boot though, so I would expect them to be pretty good.
***** I have I hopes for it I've always worn 11Pros, and I'm happy to see the K-Leather. It also looks really sleek. You should do a review the orange and white ones once you can get your hands on them of coarse.
Andres Salazar In person, the cut is pretty much identical, both in terms of appearance and feel. I think it looks a little different in the video because one is black and the other is white.
Leather shoes might be better because the leather will stretch and form to your feet (and toes). Nike Tiempo Legacy indoors would be a good option, check out Josh's video.

they stretch a lot, but the comfort is unreal. Great touch as well. Probs best boot I've worn.
the MIJ morelia is full K leather all the way to the heel area, while MII only utilizes K leather only in the forefoot
I want a pair!! Those look like amazing.. they have videos of how they are made in Japan.. really cool..
They look stupid
Great video. Having worn both of these, I agree with you that the Japan version oozes greater comfort. It is also more durable based on my experience.
I guess Im quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Leland Jermaine Flixportal =)
The Indonesian morelia is k-leather on the forefoot only with calf leather around the rest of the shoe. I guess that might further explain the price difference
Hi Josh. What is difference between mizuno morelia and mizuno morelia 2 ? ? What progress have they made for morelia 2 compared to morelia 1 ?
Play test! :D
Josh, will you be making the unboxing of new Adidas Hunts Pack?
Chan Chan Yes, very soon.
Josh, play on them and feel the real difference. :)
The black one MIJ Morelia will get shinier and better!
Hey, Josh thanks for the video.
I'm about to get a pair of these, but the manufacturer code is different to latest version.
The code is 12kp-20210

Josh what do you think are the best sub 200g leather shoes on the market?
Shoes like 11pro 2 sl - Neo MIJ - Puma king Sl and so on...
Christoffer Jørgensen I really like the Legend 5. They're a couple of grams over 200, but they'd be my pick.
NIce! thanks for the insightful review.
Hey Josh, great video....are the Size/Fit exactly the same between the Morelia MIJ and the Standard Morelia?
HIYOJAYO Sizing and fit is the same, yes.
which would say this is a little wider than the legend tiempo 5
+Andres Marin Not necessarily.
Which one you think is more durable?
Is the indonesia model still being made? Or which other leather mizuno cleat at $150 price point do you recommend right now?
Thank you
I will be ordering the regular Mizuno Morelia ii MD. Do you recommend going down half a size since it will stretch?
I wear a Predator 18.1 FG synthetic in a size 11.5 currently.
Thank you!
go true to size
damn i miss my mij morelia!!
Boot design has no bearing what position you play.
Hey josh, I'm a US 11.5 in the super fly 5's
What size In these would you recommend?
I wear a size 9US in both shoes.
I have watched this review and the review of the Nike Tiempo Ligera 4. I am looking fore at boot fore my 12 year old son. I can get the mizuno non japanese made i white cheaper than the Nike Tiempo. But which is the better boot?

Justin Kim I've never worn a pair, so I can't really say.
"If you made it this far." Lol.
Josh, can yoi bring in the Mizuno Basara 003?I want to buy it but I'm worried about the performance
Cheers.
+Victor Echeverria That's something that you have to determine for yourself. The MIJ version is definitely better quality.
It's definitely worth t in my opinion. And yeah i wear the white ones on AG and grass and there is no stains its Scotchguard Kangaroo leather so a coating to make water and stain resistant
+Kevin Wightman thanks for the reply brotha
Hi I wear US10.5 in Nike Premier . Should I get the same for this? Thanks
I have a question: there is two models for this Morelia II P1GA2000 and P1GA161101. What is the difference?
Been thinking about a pair of Morelias actually, but I've been waiting for the new 11pro, to see how they are.
Will you review them anytime soon?
Thanks
Jånni Balle I'm working on getting a pair ASAP.
Thanks for the answer Josh. I'll be looking out for the review.
You're doing a great job with this channel and I'm very thankful for it!
thank u Josh!!~ ur review helped me to get that boots! and these r amazing on my feet just like u say!!! :)
You should make some more "Deals of the Week" videos and pages
Fifa Playa There will most likely be one going up tomorrow.
I am incredibly surprised the tongue was synthetic all the way through on the MIJ version, slightly dissappointed but the quality of the rest of the boot is amazing
Can you cut the flappable tongue off of these?
@@blakestekelenburg3673 i would never, but they sell models of the Morelia without a flap tongue
hey josh.....juat wanna ask u which boots is better for u.....nike magista opus or mizuno morelia 2???
+Muhamad Fuadulhakim Personally, I prefer the Opus.
+Soccer Reviews For You why is u saying that???
Josh if the outsole turns yellow will it break easily? How can you prevent it from breaking?
White plastic will yellow over time. It has nothing to do with the durability. Totally normal.
Morelia vs Copa Mundial vs Tiempo vs King vs Lazzarini vs Speciali Video please.......

josh, what do you prefer, mizuno morelia or nike premier ?
+james bazzy I actually prefer the Premiers, but they're both really good. I don't love the stud pattern on the Morelia.
@@Soccerreviewsforyou really?
im a size 9 in the copa mundials, should i get these in a size 10?
I currently have the nike premier and love it and is it worth it to get the mizuno morelia 2 MIJ over the premier?
Enzo Ampuero It's just as nice if that's what you're asking, but also three times more expensive.
totally worth it.
Worth every penny.
Josh how could you get a pair of these for a lot cheaper because I really want to pick up a pair but 280 is way too much
Unfortunately you can't.
im wearing 8us on tiempo legends 5, so what size should i have for this morelia???..is it similar to copa mundial in term of sizing??
I wear a size 9.5US in Tiempos and a size 9US in Morelias.

Cristian Campos Yes I did. Here is the video Adidas Predator Instinct 94 (Revenge Pack) - Review + On Feet

When are you going to do the new adipure 11's?
Is there a noticeable on feet difference between these, the 30th anniversary Morelias and the Wagyu leather ones?
The Wagyu pair is a little softer, but once broken in, it's very hard to notice any significant difference.
Soccer Reviews For You Thanks for the reply Jorge
Josh, would it be a problem if I use them on AG?
They're technically not made for use on artificial grass.
Soccer Reviews For You but, how would they work on AG?
so if you are a size 10.5 in nike would you say go for a 10.5 in these?
Not all Nikes have the same sizing, so I couldn't really recommend a specific size based on that info.
I recently bought a pair of hypervenom phantoms and I would say I have about half an inch of room left...is that good or bad
that's very bad. unless you're still growing and will get taller and your feet will get bigger. you really shouldnt have any space there, but if it's there because you needed to go up some sizes to fit your foot there, then you should probably look at something else. extra space is never a good thing
CrimsonCru That is terrible advice. You want a tiny bit of room at the toe so when you make sharp cuts and turns your toes don't get jammed.
Sorry about that, I personally don't like any space in the toe. But I myself dont experience any kind of pain without any space, so....yea.

Just paid £125 for a pair! Half price always a bargain for made in japan

awesome!
can you use them on artificial grass?
They aren't made for use on artificial grass.
Hola recomiendas comprar una talla menos o es a la talla normal q uno usa, ya q la piel sede
talla normal amigo, soy 7mx en casi todo, al igual a los Mizuno Morelia
I noticed the cut in the heel seems lower on MIJ than the MII
Andres Salazar In person, the cut is pretty much identical, both in terms of appearance and feel. I think it looks a little different in the video because one is black and the other is white.
Josh, can u remove the tongue on the shoe?
+Chornay Lim You'd have to cut it off, but it's doable.
Please do a playtest on these Josh! :)
can you wear these on AG?
You can definitely get away with it, although it will impact durability.
Can you make another morelia neo vs the f50
Peter Chang Possibly.
Thank you, I would really appreciated
I have a problem for soccer shoes that it is to tight on my toes any recommendations I live in israel so it is hard to find soccer indoor shoes
Leather shoes might be better because the leather will stretch and form to your feet (and toes). Nike Tiempo Legacy indoors would be a good option, check out Josh's video.
i have a fat foot on the top do you still reccomend leather?
ariel kaufman
Leather's probably your be your best option. Adidas Samba's would be another one to try as they're good for most foot types. If you have specific needs then trying shoes on in a store would be best, if you can.
ok thx

Did you guys know that MORELIA is an actual city in Mexico ?
Could u plz do a comparison on morelia mij vs morelia Neo mij??
copas vs morelia 2!!!!!!!
Do you think the non mij version would be good for around 70$
The regular version is a great boot.
Adidas 11pro 3rd generation
Are these studs suitable in artificial grass???
Technically they're not made for artificial playing surfaces.
What's the difference between Morelia 2 & Morelia MD?
