I'm shocked to hear this because the neo iii Betas had great arch support and my flat foot friends hated them. Had you tried the IIIs? And if so do you find them comfortable?
Doesn't make sense to me. I also have flat feet, and when I tried the neo 4 beta elite, non MIJ, and the arch was too high for me, it was hurting my feet. These are practically the same as far as I know
great boots. insanely comfortable and lightweight. unfortunately not very durable on AG pitch. also got blisters with them for multiple weeks in the heel area.
@@MrDaniiYY Mizuno starting making AG specific boots, and so far, they are only in the Alphas and the Neos. However, I do not know if the quality is the same as their others.
Hey Josh, are you bringing back the play test videos anytime soon? And the 5 random boots? I think a lot of us really these series, me included, so I'd love to see them come back.
@@neazo.3564 yeah so i got 8.5 neo 4 pro ag model. It felt pretty tight at beginning i even thought about buying a shoe stretcher, (length was okay but wide wise) but after playing one game on the field, it was natuarlly strecthed due to kangaroo leather and perfectly fit. Extra note : when i had timepo size 9, i had tiny bit a room in front of toe and wide meaning tiempo size 9 was not tight fit but comfy perfect size for me.
I've used the Neo iii Betas for 2 years now and coming from countless Adidas and Nikes the Betas are in a league of their own. I've never had a boot broken in right out of the box until I used Neo iii Betas. My touch was never wonky or off while they wore in because they didn't need it. In fact, my touch was instantly better. I play 3-4 games a week, averaging 4.25 miles per game and they've started to wear out on the inside of my dominant foot after about a year.
i always get blisters on my achilles tendon just above the heel in my Neo III's. I put KT tape on the spot before every match and it only helps a small amount. It's a heel lockdown issue. They're wider in the toe, but a little too narrow for me in the midfoot (you can see how they taper towards the heel). I've been using them for training/games for 8 weeks, but they're too expensive to not use at this point. I would not recommend buying them off the internet without trying them on somewhere first.
With all the points Josh shed light on regarding how Mizuno engineered their boots to make them feel and perform they way they do, it makes sense that they are priced at $300+. However, it's durability that keeps me wondering if I wanna buy those. Like, Adidas have the COPA Mundial priced at approx. $160, they also are made of K-leather and have a reputation for being so durable. So, which pair should I pick? If someone can assure me that Mizuno boots will last, then I may consider them, because even when on sale, they are expensive enough to break the bank!
Never had the neos but I’d say the Morelia II’s are probably better durability wise, they last forever. Basically a more modern/lighter/better version of the copa
Haven’t bought neo beta variants only wore the non beta and morelia. You’re not gonna regret buying either of the Mizuno models given how incredibly durable these boots are. I say mizuno boots and copa mundials are some of the most well durable football boots you can buy right now. The copa mundial’s only drawback is it’s sizing where you have to go nearly a full size down while the morelia neo series you might need to go half a size down. I say go for the Neo 3 beta as Josh says since they’re gonna be on sale and they’re more or less the same. Sure $320 is a lot of money but if you’re someone who’s playing week in week out it’s totally worth it
Managed to get these boots on sale (almost half the price), and I have to say they are the best boots I have worn. Tried many elite level boots from lots of brands and these just fit the best for me. Lockdown is excellent and my touch is much better and sharper with these boots compared to others. You do get hotspots in the heel, and there is a slight bit of space in the front, but I don't think it's enough to go down. I play exclusively on AG, and these have been completely fine. No stud pressure and plenty of grip. Only complaint is the durability on AG pitches. The outside edge of my right shoe is wearing and there is very slight sole separation after only one game. Will probably need to put some super glue.
leather peeled of a bit after 1 use on AG on mine, quite poor quality on AG surfaces, i`d stick to Firm grass only with these, i got the same MIJ mizuno alpha neo 4 non beta
As much as i love the Mizuno football boots but i'm gonna be honest that never needed a release. Sure it's been what 3 years since the neo 3 beta came out but frankly speaking it never needed a release nor it needs these wholesale changes..
I love my Morelia Neo III Elite's. I've had the MIJ once but the price difference wasn't worth it imo. I'll just have to wait until the IV has an Elite version available.
I bought these boots, after 2 weeks the white patent started to flake off around the toe box, is there a way to prevent that or is that normal ? Considering the price of them, I would expect them to last longer.
Is there a big difference between the Morelia 2,3,4 I heard the most comfy ones are the 2s I heard they feel like your not even wearing cleats and I want the most comfy ones
Yes, you can. Because of the rounded studs they will not bite into the AG pitch too much. Only thing is that the K-leather toe box is not made (re-enforced) for the pressure of AG and thus the shoe is not too durable on AG. I use 2 pairs a season (only training once a week).
