Literally cried a lil bit, smiling the whole time tho. Then it got to the end where we "shed a tear each time [we] hear" and I just could laugh!

This is a rather sedate version, but I enjoyed the pictures, especially the Lettermen. Nobody believes me when I tell them that the Lettermen jumped on the folk music bandwagon.

"Most of you kids are too young to remember...." True statement. I was discussing The Chessmate, an old Detroit coffee house, with a friend a couple weeks ago. I'm 74, and he's 69. Ouch.

That's right! It was in the (1980 )Tom and Dick Smothers Brothers Special. It was one of the funniest moments in "Folk Music on Television" History: "Do you remember the Folk Scare of the Sixties?..."

Pretty clever! Too bad people are mostly too dumb to appreciate it.
