2017 Trivento Reserve Cabernet Malbec Argentinean Blend Wine Review

I felt like ending the week with something spicy. Finding something to pair with the chili rubbed pork tacos that I made can be challenging but I decided I wanted to give this wine a shot. I didn't mention it in the video, but I felt it paired pretty well. Here is my review of the 2017 Trivento Reserve Cabernet-Malbec Argentinean Blend.

The Trivento Reserve Malbec is also nice. And the Golden Reserve Malbec is a real treat, especially when on sale. : )

Do you think maybe your "high Texas plains" note is more herbal? To me a gamey taste relates to sage and thyme.

There were a good number of vintages that gave a "barnyard/fertilizer" note. The high-plains has shifted some lately to be more diverse. It's possible that you might be right on that but I'd have to buy another bottle to compare. Shucks, I may have to do research soon...
