- Down at my local Station to capture the 6B33 Theale to Robeston MURCO empties on a calm still evening at dusk....Beautiful lighting, and this is the result...enjoy.

Yes .know the feeling, there are a couple of semaphores at Greenford Station still in the branch the one I liked was in the bay platform that went not so long ago its now a round led, I filmed there because of, I think the only wooden tread escalator left. its on line ...Dave
Great night shots, the Saturday Murcos rarely make it further than Margam, I filmed one last September......

Something special about filming at that time of day Bob when you get lovely light like that. How long before the semaphore is due for replacement?
+acw71000 I totally agree Austin, it's that half an hour or so after sunset, before it gets dark....Semaphores are disappearing slowly, they may have a few years left, depending on modernisation of this section of the Main Line. We've only got Burry Port, Ferryside and Pantyffynnon left now...Bob

Wonderful footage on a very clear, and cold I'll bet, evening Bob! The station and surrounding lighting is a big bonus, much better then Kilmarnock and the results are first class images. Were you doing anything different with your exposure settings? I loved that typical "thudding" noise off the Mirrlees engines on the class 60 as it approached your position, adding a real sense of the power these locos possess and with 20 tanks in tow - nice melodious tones from the driver. +Ken Browne Thanks Ken, the station lighting isn't as bright as the camera makes it look....I sometimes use manual white balance when filming in such conditions to warm up the image, otherwise on auto, the warm lighting is made to look too cold. The Good old 60's are ideally suited for these heavy workings Ken...Thanks as always for your comments...Bob
