Hi Nancy, you might try wiping the gel highlighted area with a cotton swab to reduce the wax, as I have been able to write over the highlighted areas on the lighter bible paper pages afterward. Really excited about your upcoming release. Please don't keep up in suspense too long. God bless you and your family.

I've written then gel highlighted over and it made a yucky mess. I think twistable pencils have been best for me overall but I like variety and I usually start over each year with a different Bible to mark so I'm tolerating what I've done so far though I don't likethe shadowing some colors are doingwith the Mr Pens I have (the squared off ones). still experimenting though!
I'll have to look into the twistable pencils! I tolerate the shadowing but don't love it. Basically I just think that thin Bible paper isn't really meant to have color laid on it...but I like color so I tolerate the mess.

It's a copy of a famous painting that my husband painted for me called "New York Movie" by Edward Hopper 1939. My husband made a few changes to it and painted it for my birthday a few years ago. We met working at a movie theater that I was the manager of for a while, so it's representational of how we met. He changed the image on the movie screen to a man with dark hair kissing a woman with blond hair - I don't know if you can see that in my video. But he made that change to represent us. So it's a sentimental painting for me from my husband ❤️ Thanks for watching and asking!
