If I might jump in as a man, it is for men too. Yes I’m not ashamed to admit that I love Bible journaling. I don’t have the fancy artistic skills and my hand writing is horrible. But using Bible journaling as a tool to reflect on God’s word is awesome. It helped me to breakthrough my understanding of the scripture and deepened my connection with God. Then it is a time investment well spent.

The doctors are telling them that he will not live. They had originally told them that he wouldn’t make it through this past Sunday and yet he is still fighting. My husband and I are believing God for a miracle that will save this baby’s life and in turn lead them to Jesus please join with us in this prayer. Thank you and may God bless you richly for all that you do!

I'm doing Revelation Bible study on my own. I take notes and rewrite them at home. I'm a messy note taker and I can't pull off writing legibly directly in my Bible in church.
Hello I just noticed that you like to journal so I thought you would enjoy this video the name : Nina's Biblejournal I only watched part of it but enough to know you would probably like it.😊😁
Question...no. criticism...why don't you just use a notebook in church and then transfer the notes to your Bible at home? It seems that would be alot easier.
This is what I do. Then, my Monday Bible study is always me going over my sermon notes and copying them into my Bible. I do think she's addressed that question before, but I'm not sure.
She answered this in another video: she doesn’t do that because the notes in the separate notebook never make it to her Bible and usually end up getting lost.
I'm going to preface this right off the bat by saying I'm Catholic and asking this with love. I'm hoping for a response to change my understanding of something I've used as a response to a Protestant friend. In comparing a Catholic service and a Protestant service and now based your video. To me the Protestant service looks to me like a bible study based on the understanding of the Pastor. To my the Catholic service is a prayer to God, taken from scripture. You may say there are just different forms of worship and I'm ok with that. Please help me if there is another understand with this.
I’ve never really been to a Catholic service but I would somewhat agree with your description of Protestant services, although in my experience they do have both of those aspects. Maybe in a Catholic service the priests are somewhat ‘interchangeable’ because of how formulaic it is, but in a Protestant service it makes a big difference who the pastor is because they bring a lot of their own understanding? So there’s a big difference between a good pastor and a mediocre one, but not so much for Catholic priests because everything is kind of written for them? I think there’s good reasons to include both styles. For me the Protestant style makes more sense when it comes to applying things to my own life and experiences but I know some people get a lot out of the more formulaic and consistent forms of worship. I also think it’s good to have variety because if someone has a bad experience in one style of church, they can switch to another style. For example I’ve heard that people who have had creepy experiences in a Protestant church (like encountering a pedo pastor as a kid) can be totally creeped out by the whole Protestant church style, so they’re more likely to join a Catholic or Episcopalian church (and vice versa). And even without anything bad happening different people respond differently to each style.
I used to teach at a Catholic school that had mass and I’m a Protestant so I’ve got a decent idea of how they compare, but based on the church it can always be different. My current church teaches more of applications for a Biblical life using scripture as references. We just started a series more specifically on Philippians and I’ve really enjoyed sticking in one area for notes 😂 in Catholic mass, I feel like I got a more “formal” version of this with prayer interspersed. It does feel more reverential, so the information would be delivered differently but still provides an application for Biblical Life with extra emphasis on the prayer and thanksgiving. I don’t know if that helped but it’s been my experience.
A "Bible study based on the understanding of the pastor" is probably close, but hopefully it's not based on what the pastor interprets on his own, but is hopefully based on what God has revealed to that pastor through the scriptures. One always hopes they find a good church where the pastor simply preaches the truth about sin and salvation and how to walk in relationship with God. There are some really great pastors out there and some not so great pastors out there. No one protestant church or denomination is alike. My church is non-denominational, and our pastor teaches/preaches straight from the Bible. Wednesday nights are usually more like a large group Bible study. He always encourages us to search out the scriptures for ourselves, as the Bereans of old did. There are so many denominations within the protestant faith, and they do not all "agree" universally on every single aspect of the Bible, and its meaning. This is why we have to study the word ourselves and ask God to reveal the truth to us.
Thank you all for your insight. I think what I’ve learned is; be it a Priest sharing his homily or a Pastor sharing his sermon, you hope is that both are following the truth of the Bible and not just opinions. This helps.
@@jjwurtz Most Lutherans have services identical to a Catholic mass except they don’t ring the altar bells. This is Missouri, Wisconsin Evangelical, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. These are different synods but all Lutheran. I think I know the reason. I’m a senior citizen. In the 70s and 80s, Catholics and everyone else got into the Charismatic craze. Many Catholics left the church to go to the more exciting Pentecostal meetings. Also at that time, there was a big Ecumenical movement. They wanted all people to become one religion united. Personally, I don’t ever see that happening because of the Curse of the Tower of Babel which divided people. Lutheran services used to be vastly different from a Catholic mass. Then they changed it to the exact wording of a mass around 1975. I believe the Ecumenical movement was the cause. Salvation shouldn’t be so complicated. 2 Cor 11:3 talks about “the simplicity that is Christ.” He died for our sins, rose again, if we believe in him we are saved. I encourage you to read the Bible, especially the Epistles and I think it will become clear for you. God bless.
Wouldn't it be easier -- and less stressful -- to just take notes in a notebook and transfer them to your Bible when you get home? What's the benefit to doing it in church?
I used to do that and they never got transferred! I get home and get folding laundry, cooking, etc! I totally forget and then they pile up and get forgotten,
Let people enjoy their life 😂 this is her personal system. She's bringing her bible, listening to the sermon, and engaging with both. Many people don't do any of this.
@cbrooks97 this is how I take notes in church, as it makes the most sense for me, but I'm usually only jotting down a quick thing that I want to look up later to read more about. I don't always transfer them to my Bible, though. For me, and this is just for me personally, I don't want to have too much going on in my Bible, as it would distract me from reading God's word, and makes it more difficult to find what I'm looking for. I make very short notes in the margins and might slip a small piece of psper in here and there, but that's about it. I like having my notes in separate notebooks that give me the space to properly write out my insights, things that really moved me, and my thoughts and understanding of that particular sermon/topic. I also record the sermon on my phone so I can go back and listen and do more in-depth notes on what was covered. I like being able to pause it to make notes, or rewind it to hear something again. I find if I try to write too much during the sermon, I'm not listening as intently as I should be, and I know I'll miss out on a good portion of what he says.
An honest question why would you need to record yourself at church? When do you separate your business and faith? I find that it takes away from the focus. It’s more of a “look at me” versus “look at Him” thing. I would struggle with that line of humility vs pride. I would never see a need to film myself at Mass. The Mass is to be spent focusing on the Lord not be filming ourselves for YT.

I believe she is doing this to show us how we too can take notes. I am grateful she does this
OOOOOh ok this is a business channel for selling your courses ok now i get it.
Nope this is a Bible journaling channel!
You can still love Jesus pbuh as a great messenger of God Almighty, a great Prophet, if you listen to chatgpt.
I loooooove your channel!! I was raised in the faith but in a denomination that focuses on rituals and traditions rather than on the bible. So I consider myself a newbie to the bible! You’re amazing in the way you explain things. Can I just ask, do you add a second tab if the first is full?
