This block be perfect for Forged arrow or cosworth rods with JE or cosworth pistons, cosworth cams, valves and valve springs, cometic steel gasket, inconel equal length manifold with a T3 turbo flang, billet GTX 35 turbo, group A k&n filter, uprated inlet manifold with 750/1000cc injectors billet FPR ally boost pipes and uprated FMIC, motec ECU and digi dash with gizzmo boost controller!! Or similar spec with different brand parts!!!
Hi brett i recently installed a kosmic 10 plate clutch brand new basket and torque damper but each time I put it in sport mode and accelerate from third gear it hits the rev limiter the ralliart is stock and we did the teaching
And both have the same crank walk issue thanks to the silly 180' thrust bearing design 😉 First thing we do is fit a 360' 2 piece and add lubrication to the pressure side 😎🍻 Well on the 4G63 it is worse as it will smash your crank sensor and your engine stops...which can not happen on the 4B11T... But there is also a kit available to avoid that using the cam sensor...but only fits when balance shafts are out .... Next big issue on the 4G63 is...turbo is the last feed with oil pressure....so we feed it straight from the pump/filter bracket. Has saved plenty of turbos for our clients.....
If your buying a block as strong as this with 10!! Long ARP studs what's the point in putting the stock turbo back on it??? 😣 this block is strong enough for a 600 bhp build with high boost pressure! This block and stud arrangement is strong enough to run 2 to 3 bar of boost!!!
I own an Evo IV and I got forged piston (and much more in it) but now my dipstick was popping out ! I then added a catch can (and oversize the vents and removed the pcv)...now the dipstick doesn't pop out anymore but I think I am still having too much crank case pressure. Any idea of what might fix this ? Thanks
Recently bought a evo I was going 120mph when the dipstick pop up and there was oil everywhere I bought the car with a downpipe and cold air intake idk if it was time or not what might of cause this?
This problem can be easily solved by installing an engine breather, any turbo engine with an exhaust and map with the boost turned up would normally run a breather system! And even standard turbo engine cars being used for track days will benefit from a breather, the harder you drive the car the more pressure builds in the engine! A breather or the most recognisable one is simply an oil catch tank with a small k&n filter on top with an air line (normally aero quip lines) running to the cam cover and one to the sump straight to the tank, very simple and easy to fit! And can save your engine from blowing up!!!! Lol I take it you were driving the car quite hard???
I had the same problem with dip stick popping up under boost it turned out to be a blown pcv valve $54.00 problem solved and I have 511 hp. And 390 tq to the wheels,to check if it's blown just remove the map sensor if there's oil in the manifold and on the sensor then the pcv valve is blown it's a check valve basically
Damn I didn’t realise this shop had so many negative reviews. I thought this shop was straight up awesome. But all the horror storys on google definitely changed my mind.
I don't even own an Evo, or a Subaru for that matter but your vids are great. Highly informative. Good job!
Can't wait to see it finished

The way you say evo makes my toes curl

Wish u were in Perth
Is this the same engine they have in Hyundai sonatas 2.0t
so ur saying its a really really good engine and really tough but bad at holding up to mild horsepower?
digital peer ok...
Brett is the 4G63 more reliable than the 4B11T , when properly tuned ? Understand, bolt ons, stock turbo, daily driver..with only tune and exhaust ?
both are damn good engines!
:)

@@heikogrund1211 I have had over 20 4g63s and never had one crank walk yet. It doesn't happen all the time like ur saying stop hating.
@@heikogrund1211 4B11T doesn't not have a crank walk issue
IT IS A DOUBLE OVERHEAD CAM HEMI SIMILAR HEAD DESIGN BUT DOWN SIZED TO THE FORD 1100ci GAA DOHC TANK ENGINE FIRST BUILT IN 1937.

cuz its cheaper and most likely making 500whp
@@ic_evox136 no stock evo turbo wouldn't go pass 350hp

You got turbo boost leaking into the crank! 😜

Im hitting 25-26 psi on my RA with the stock turbo. Im guessing thats pushing it a bit too hard?
+PistenBoy WOW! too much boost!
:(
+MRT Performance Any idea what would cause an exhaust leak on the waste-gate? Specifically the pin/arm that controls it?
sorry cant diagnose via net
:(
All about the tune.Lean it out or have the timing off and it's game over
25 - 26 is a risk to rods
Was this car the engine belonged to blue by any chance.

Cost?
Evo 9 only had variable inlet not variable inlet and exhaust.
